Chapter 58: Chapter 58: Flas Against Silver

The Inner Sanctum, silent for countless centuries, finally erupted into chaos.

What had once been a place of ancient stillness now trembled under the force of two clashing powers. Crimson flas and shimring silver energy collided violently at the center of the chamber, tearing apart the calm that had endured for ages.

The explosion of force rippled outward.

The very air seed to distort as the Fla Sovereign Pup t Lucien’s Silverfang Wolf head-on. Their collision was not rely physical—it was a clash of dominance, of will, of power that refused to yield.

The impact sent a powerful shockwave across the central platform.

The ancient stone beneath them groaned under the pressure, cracks forming like spiderwebs across its surface. Dust rose into the air, and fragnts of broken rock scattered in all directions, skidding across the runic engravings etched into the platform floor.

The wolf’s claws struck against the blazing aura of the pup.

A sharp, piercing sound echoed—like steel scraping against sothing unbreakable.

Sparks erupted.

Silver t fire.

And neither side gave way easily.

Lucien stood at a distance, his posture straight, his expression composed. Yet the cold gleam in his eyes betrayed his intent.

"I gave you an opportunity," he said calmly.

His tone carried no anger.

Only quiet certainty.

"But you chose to stand in my way."

Aether did not respond.

His gaze remained steady, observing every movent, every shift in montum, every subtle change in the flow of battle.

Behind them, the sealed guardian remained motionless.

The runic chains binding her arms and wings trembled faintly, reacting to the surging energy in the chamber. Golden light flickered along their surface as the seal strained under the pressure of the clash.

Her crimson eyes glowed softly.

She watched everything.

Every strike.

Every dodge.

Every decision.

Nothing escaped her notice.

---

The Silverfang Wolf moved first.

Its body blurred, vanishing into motion as it dashed forward with astonishing speed. A streak of silver light trailed behind it, marking its path like a flash of lightning.

This was not a wild beast.

It was trained.

Refined.

A predator honed through battle after battle.

Lucien’s voice rang out, sharp and commanding.

"Silver Fang Strike."

The wolf lunged.

Its claws ignited with condensed silver energy, forming sharp, blade-like extensions that sliced through the air with terrifying precision. The attack ca fast—too fast for an ordinary opponent to follow.

But the Fla Sovereign Pup was already reacting.

Flas burst beneath its paws, propelling it sideways in a swift motion. Its body slid across the stone platform, narrowly avoiding the incoming strike.

The claws missed by re inches.

Aether’s voice followed calmly.

"Right."

The command was simple.

But imdiate.

The pup responded without hesitation.

A spiral of crimson fire erupted around its body as it twisted mid-motion, launching itself forward with explosive force. Its blazing claws cut through the air, aiming directly for the wolf.

The two beasts collided once again.

This ti, the flas surged outward, spreading across the platform like a living tide. Fire crawled along the cracked stone, wrapping around the battlefield in a growing inferno.

The wolf growled, leaping backward to escape the expanding blaze.

Lucien narrowed his eyes slightly.

"Your beast has improved," he admitted.

There was a trace of interest in his tone.

But no concern.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"Unfortunately..." he continued, his voice turning colder, "it still isn’t enough."

---

Lucien raised his hand slowly.

Silver energy began to flow from his body, forming a visible stream that connected directly to the wolf.

In an instant—

The bond between them strengthened.

The wolf’s fur shimred, taking on a tallic sheen as its aura expanded. Its muscles tensed, growing denser, more powerful, as if reinforced by the energy flowing into it.

The pressure inside the sanctum rose.

Rylan’s eyes widened slightly.

"...That’s not normal," he muttered.

Lucien smirked faintly.

"Bond Amplification."

The wolf let out a thunderous roar.

The sound shook the chamber.

Its speed increased dramatically.

Then—

It vanished.

In the next instant, it reappeared beside the Fla Sovereign Pup.

Its claws slashed downward with lethal precision.

This ti—

The pup couldn’t fully evade.

The attack struck.

A deep slash cut across its side, scattering flas in all directions. The force sent the pup skidding backward across the platform, leaving a trail of embers in its wake.

It slid several ters before finally stopping.

Lucien chuckled softly.

"Now you see the difference."

The silver wolf circled slowly, its predator instincts fully awakened.

It could feel it.

The shift in montum.

The advantage.

---

Behind the barrier, the guardian watched in silence.

Her crimson eyes followed the battle with unwavering focus.

The clash of flas and silver energy reflected within them, but her attention was not on the beasts alone.

It remained on Aether.

She could sense it.

That strange energy within him.

It was ancient.

Unfamiliar.

And yet... it resonated with sothing deep within her being.

A power that did not belong to this era.

A power that could break chains.

Her voice reached him once more.

Soft.

Silent.

"You must win."

There was urgency now.

"If you fall... I remain imprisoned."

Aether’s expression did not change.

But within him—

The golden energy stirred.

---

The Fla Sovereign Pup slowly rose to its feet.

The wound along its side flickered with fire, the flas licking across it as if consuming the injury itself.

Its aura intensified.

The fire burned brighter.

Hotter.

Lucien tilted his head slightly.

"Oh?"

Aether spoke.

"Fla Crown."

At once—

The pup ignited.

A spiral of fire rose upward, forming a ring of blazing energy above its head. It hovered like a crown, radiating imnse heat.

The temperature in the chamber spiked instantly.

Waves of heat distorted the air.

Even the ancient runes carved into the walls began to glow faintly, reacting to the surge of energy.

Rylan blinked.

"...Okay, that’s definitely new."

The pup moved again.

But now—

Its flas were different.

They no longer spread wildly.

They gathered.

Condensed.

Focused into a tight, controlled aura that wrapped around its body like a second skin.

Lucien frowned.

The wolf charged forward.

The clash resud.

But this ti—

The result shifted.

The wolf was forced back.

---

Aether’s voice remained calm.

"Second stage."

The flas surged.

Crimson fire engulfed the pup completely, forming armor-like layers that pulsed with power. The intensity of the heat rose to a new level, pressing against everything within the sanctum.

The runes along the walls flickered erratically.

Even the chains binding the guardian trembled faintly.

Her eyes widened.

She could feel it clearly now.

This fire—

Was not ordinary.

It carried sothing ancient.

Sothing long forgotten.

Lucien saw it too.

"...Interesting," he muttered.

But his expression hardened.

"Let’s end this."

His hand rose sharply.

"Silver Fang Dominion."

The wolf howled.

A storm of silver energy erupted from its body, expanding outward like a tidal wave. Its aura surged to new heights, filling the battlefield with crushing pressure.

Then it lunged.

Faster than ever before.

Its claws aid directly for the pup’s throat.

A killing strike.

---

Aether did not move.

He simply spoke.

"Crimson Step."

In an instant—

The pup vanished.

Even Lucien lost track of it.

The wolf’s attack cut through empty air.

Then—

Flas ignited behind it.

The pup reappeared mid-air, its claws blazing with concentrated crimson energy.

It struck.

Directly across the wolf’s back.

The impact shattered the silver aura.

The wolf let out a pained roar as it was sent crashing across the platform.

Lucien’s eyes widened.

That should not have happened.

His wolf was faster.

Stronger.

And yet—

It had been outmaneuvered.

Aether spoke once more.

"Finish it."

The flas surged.

The pup lunged forward, its power reaching its peak.

Lucien reacted instantly.

"Defend!"

But it was too late.

The wolf was already weakened.

The final strike landed.

The pup’s blazing claws pierced through its defenses, striking its chest with explosive force.

Flas erupted outward.

The silver aura shattered completely.

The wolf collapsed.

Silence followed.

The fire slowly faded.

Lucien’s expression darkened.

For the first ti—

He understood.

Aether was not soone he could easily defeat.

And this fight—

Was only just beginning.

---

Behind the chains—

The guardian watched.

A faint smile ford on her lips.

The flas had grown.

Evolved.

The beast fighting for Aether carried power unlike anything she had seen in centuries.

Perhaps...

Her long wait had not been in vain.

Because the one she had chosen—

Was proving himself worthy.

And soon...

If fate continued along this path—

The chains that bound her...

Might finally break
