A series of dust and debris wafted across the open field, brushing by the two figures that stood in silence, facing each other in what seed like an old fashion standoff. A figure much that of a giant as the other was earthlier; this sa scene recaptured the old tales of fabled Goliath and David.
The cloth on Evan's armor flapped to the side of his body due to the fierce winds brought from the aftershock, his eyes cold as they stared at Valoz with sharp rays. He firmly held onto his Havengaurd and the Void Sword as he gathered his energy when he prepared to strike again at a mont's notice.
Veloz's body had towering energies erupting from it, which matched his size, giving him an almost overpowering and invisible air, as if his very being could crush anything and all things around him.
Valoz hated Evan to the bone; he didn't want to waste ti seeing his foe before him; as such, after analyzing the sudden change from the distance, his manner grew much colder when he leaned forward. In this instance, he changed his battle posture, raising both of his arms above his head as he spoke in an angry voice.
"Hmph! I don't know what tricks you humans must have used to best Pira, but it doesn't matter; so long as I kill you, everything will return to the norm. Witness the power of the Blood Genetic Body, Primal Psycho Force!"
Following those words, Valoz's body then erupted with colorful energy that rged perfectly with his overwhelming blood genetic power. With a loud rumble, the area shook as if undergoing an earthquake as countless massive boulders rose from all directions, each having a sharpened tip as if they were no different from spears.
Evan's eyes narrowed at this as he inwardly spoke, 'Such power, I'm still not his match in strength or energy, and to think this is when he's not complete. Then again, I have yet to advance to the next stage of an Ascended Lifeform. I won't even match his offensive power unless I push everything into my Void Sword, rging both my Spiritual Power and Battle Energy. It looks like I'll need to try and wake it up.'
When Evan's thoughts reached this point, his eyes had a strange look as he glanced at the Havengaurd with a recollective look. They soon turned sharp as if he made up his mind fixing it onto the scene above him, gazing a large amount of giant sharpened boulders with a serious expression.
"Die!"
Valoz yelled; having gathered all of his power into the objects around them, he moved his hands forward with his palms spread wide as the objects that lood above them bolted towards Evan like speeding bullets despite their size.
A series of whooshing sounds echoed as the objects blurred due to their speeds, causing Evan's pupils to shrink. Not daring to waste a single mont, Evan promptly reacted.
With a sway of his body, Evan narrowly avoided the first of the boulder storm, which crashed into the earth and shattered to pieces. The debris from its impact sent chunks of rocks in all directions, with many flying towards Evan's new position.
Not paying them any mind, Evan used his Spirit Power to focus his senses to the extre. Flashing left and right as he avoided more and more of the rain of boulders while occasionally using his swords to chop apart the scattering debris.
If one were to look at his current predicant from a top-down angle, he would seem different from an ant at the center of a disaster, caught in between a team of humans on a football field.
Valoz frowned as he saw this; his eyes glowed in a nacing light as he placed both of his arms near each other, forming an arc with his fingers with a bit of space at their center.
'Tsk! Damn human bastard, let's see you dodge this one!'
Valoz thought with a cruel look on his face as a ball of light ford at the center of his palms, his hair fluttering wildly as the area around his seed to shift in color, taking in a reddish hue.
At this mont, Evan's Havengaurd made a resonant hum as it sliced through the final boulder as he jumped from the ground like a blurry shade arriving in the air, avoiding the debris from its impact on the earth.
In this instance, he had finally extract himself from the previous disasters; his eyes shifted onto the sword's blade, noticing that it was taking on a slight goldish hue as he continuously channeled a large amount of Battle Energy within it.
Despite this, however, Evan frowned as he commanded within his mind, 'Inspect.'
____
[Havengaurd - Rank 2: Low Grade (Upgradable) | 950/1000]
[Damage - 22] [Durability -15]
____
As Evan saw this, he felt a tinge of pressure as he thought to himself, 'It's still not there, even with all those countless monsters killed, it's still not able to upgrade to the next rank. I can forcefully awaken it with my Battle Energy, but my current amount is still too limited. Darn, how troubleso.'
When Evan concluded his thoughts, he tried not to think about it and prepared to turn his attention back to Valoz, preparing to strike at him with his Executioner Slash. However, before he could do so, Evan's eyes widened as he sensed a dangerous feeling.
Looking towards Valoz's direction, Evan saw a bright ball of blood-red energies at the center of his palms, causing him to feel a dreadful amount of danger.
'Shit! When did he conjure so much power? This isn't good! I have to...'
Evan was shocked, he readied his swords and tried to prepare himself to counter-attack, but sadly it was already too late.
"Human, die! Primal Psycho Beam," Valoz yelled as the ball in his palms exploded, releasing six rays of baleful red beams. They fired off into tree directions before gathering together as they ford an intricate swirling ray that swept towards Evan at alarming speeds.
In monts, they arrived before Evan, who had no ti to even dodge due to his airborne state; Evan gritted his teeth and pushed all of his Battle Energy and Spirit Power into his surroundings and used his talent conjure a barrier of space around him.
It was an effective thod for most of his current lifeti, but sadly, it was destined to fail today.
Boom! The sky exploded into a bright scene of red lights that lood over most of the island, startling Joe and the others that were rapidly making their way towards this battle.
They looked at this scene from afar with looks of shock and alarm on their faces, their eyes carried hopeful looks, but sadly, the result was far from expected.
