While Layla, Breya, and Emilia had gone to aid with Vernisa's battle, Evan, Joe, and Rick had also scattered about towards different areas, hoping to end the night's chaotic scene quickly.

Evan headed towards the Hall of Governance to check on City Head Milon, but as for Joe and Rick, they were currently hurrying towards the Crarton residence.

By this ti, Leo and company had already arrived at the residence, Oron and Irene had begun to aid with a disruption of flas, while Leo, Julie, and Razel entered the blazing compound, hurrying towards its main room.

Leo used his abilities to control all flas within their radius, pushing them aside, as they looked around the hallway. There, they saw a myriad of corpses, each belonging to guards and core family mbers. Although they couldn't tell much from their burn conditions, one could see that they were previously trying to escape from a glance.

"Hmm... how could they have so easily fallen, arent these the core mbers of their family?" Leo said with a deep expression.

Razel carefully inspected the corpses as they passed by them. His eyes then glowed vaguely, causing him to see a remnant trail of energies around the corpses; he then spoke, "They certainly are, and they were each killed in a single attack, the only kind that pulls sothing like this off are those darn Body Shifters."

Leo frowned as he spoke, "Then doesn't this an that they were actually working with those pests from the start?"

Razel shook his head and replied, "It's not proven yet, what we do know is that they Body Shifters based on this attack, have thought highly enough of the Crarton's to destroy their residence. From this attack, it's likely that quite a few powerful ones amongst them are hidden within our city."

Both Leo and Julie hearing this had dark looks on their faces as they thought the sa thing, 'How troubleso...'

Razel seeing the looks on their faces had also thought the sa, the party of three once more continued on their way. Eventually, they arrived at the main room, a section with a large broken door, which seems to have been cut apart by so sharp weapon as a fire blazed around it.

With a single wave of his hand, Leo dispersed the flas and entered the room, followed by Razel and Julie. Yet, as soon as they entered, their eyes focused towards its center as a peculiar sight had awaited them.

Within the room was a sea of blazing corpses, hurdled together around a central figure. This individual was none other than the silent man that wore a helt and a robe, servant of the man known as Master.

As if he was expecting them, the lips of the man curved in a sinister smile as his helt glowed in reddish lights when he spoke, "Ho... truly as the Master predicted, it sure took you all long enough..."

Leo's face sunk as he saw the scene before him, he adopted a hostile posture as he questioned, "Who the hell are you?"

Though Leo said this, however, he had signaled both Juile and Razel with a hand sign. Razel and Julie promptly reacted with serious expressions, hurrying to surround the individual from separate angles.

The man smirked as he saw their reaction, he spoke as if he didn't notice their action, "Who am I? Huhu... I am rely an aid to the Master, the one who shall claim your lives, Lax ..."

When Lax said this, he didn't bother to explain anything more, his body rely erupted with a dazzling blood-red genetic power, pushing away the flas from his surroundings.

As they sensed his rising strength, Leo's eyes, Razel and Julie turned stern as they knew it wouldn't be easy to escape, they glanced at each other and nodded as if making the sa decision.

'We'll take him down where he stands,' Leo and the others thought, as their bodies also began to erupt with similarly strong genetic power. Though each of them was much weaker than him, their combined might had neared his strength.

Lax chuckled as he saw their rising power; he licked his lips, assuming a combat stance as his powers erupted even more wildly.

Looking behind the visors of Lax's helt, one would notice that his glowing red eyes had a hint of joy as he thought, 'Huhu... they've each grown to a truly astounding degree. If we can take their corpses as the Master suggested, it wouldn't be difficult for the remaining ancestors to wield their full power. Taking down this city and its foolish human's would co easily, and we will have an advantage against those outside mutants during the next appearance of the God Tree...'

As if he couldn't wait any longer, he licked his lips and spoke in a resonant tone, "Huhu, you've all co here to et your ends, none of you will be leaving this place today!"

Bang! The mont he shouted, his body vanished from its position, as he used a series of rapid movents to close in on Leo.

Leo, who was eyeing him carefully, didn't even blink; he hurried back up and flung his arm forwards, invoking his skill, "Let's see if you do it, Fire Palm!"

A blazing palm bolted towards Lax, who rely snorted as he waved his hand and spoke, "Wind Shift!"

As if hearing this call, a green light shone around his arm as a gust of wind blew away the flas to the side, Leo looked at his surprise as he exclaid, "Not good, he's managed to learn a genetic ability!"

"Huhu, that's right, and soon yours will be added to our collection... now die! Wind Cutter!" Lax was about to involve a killing skill, as his body had flickered, arriving directly before the unguarded Leo.

However, right at this ti, he heard the sounds of a gun being fired. As if he sensed the threat, Lax frowned as changed the direction of his palm cutting towards his side, an arc of wind then flowed out smashing into a series of bullets that exploded as they were grenades.

Leo taking this chance, kicked his feet against the ground, pushing himself backward by a few ters. Following this, Julie's hair rose above her head as her palms were stretched forwards, a series of rocks, and other objects then soared towards Lax at high speeds and were only a second from smashing into him.

"Hmm? That Primal Force Gene is a truly troubleso ability of you humans... but its not enough against overwhelming strength, Wind Shift!" As Lax spoke, he raised one hand, causing it to glow in green lights before he smashed it onto the ground, sending a blast of wind in all directions, it blew away all of the debris that Julie had launched causing them to smash into the corners of the room.

'Damn! He's too strong...' Leo cursed inwardly as his body beca suffused with flas. He glanced at Julie and Razel, whose bodies had fully exploded with their powers, knowing it was about to be a hard fight as he thought, 'Look's like we'll need to give it our all...'

With that in mind, the scene then grew tense as each party stared at each other from a distance, Leo, Julie, and Razel, each blocked one side as Lax smirked while looking at them, his eyes shining fiercely as their battles had only just begun.

Yet, unaware to any of them was that in a dark and obscure area of the roof. A fat figure blended in with the surroundings as he gazed at the scene with a shield in one arm, his eyes flashing as he spoke in a voice only he could hear.

"Well, he sure's a tough one, they'll definitely need a helping hand..." Joe said as he stared at Lax, viewing his stats.

Joe frowned as he gripped his shield and readied himself to join the battle at any ti as he cursed to himself, 'Tsk, why the hell did Rick run off all by himself?'

When Joe thought this, his eyes couldn't help but glance towards the roof, gazing through the crack at the moon in the sky as if he could see a different scene that was occurring sowhere else.
