Suddenly, the white mist began to churn rapidly, more intensely than before. Heavy footsteps echoed from afar, causing a change in the expressions of everyone in the ghost army.

Within the mist, another black tide surged from the distance, clearly more nurous than the previous wave.

But this was not the end of White Clothes’ actions.

Her fingers danced lightly, conjuring streams of gray-white gas that coalesced into a cloud in the sky. Grey raindrops fell, and the aura within the Hell Warriors began to surge, breaking through the Emperor level to reach the realm of Ghost Saints.

The limitation that Hades had once imposed on the Horror World to restrict the power of Hell Warriors was effortlessly lifted by White Clothes.

Hundreds of billions of Hell Warriors, if they remained at the Ghost Emperor level, could be combated with sheer numbers, and the ghost army might even have been able to strengthen itself in the fight. But against Ghost Saints, it would be a massacre.

"Now, do you still think you can win?" White Clothes asked Alexander.

"Of course," Alexander nodded, his gaze fixed on White Clothes, a hint of a smile at his lips. "As long as you are defeated, we naturally win."

As he spoke, beams of light erupted from the battlefield below White Clothes, and six figures surrounded her. The Guardians! Hidden in the battlefield since the beginning, the six guardians now took action simultaneously. Grey-white chains shot out from their hands, entwining White Clothes.

"White Clothes, we et again," Louis said, maintaining the grey-white chains.

"It seems you have decided to betray," White Clothes’ smile faded, her voice grave. "You should know that my death won’t be the end. You cannot kill ."

"We are aware of that. We can’t kill you," Blood Clothes nodded with a smile. "But trapping you is no issue. As for killing you, soone else will do it."

"Kill ? With him?" White Clothes looked towards Alexander and shook her head. "I suppose he is your last piece. I’m curious, if he dies, how will those so-called Chess Players behind you continue?"

As her words fell, Alexander sensed a sharp blade approaching from behind. The blade was incredibly fast, and before he could react, a long knife emitting a sinister black light pierced through his body.

As consciousness slipped into darkness, Alexander barely managed to discern the face of his assailant.

Lucy!

The one who struck was Alexander’s old friend, Lucy.

With a swift and decisive stab through Alexander’s heart, Lucy’s movents didn’t pause for a mont. In a flash, she crossed several miles in an instant and launched a lightning-fast attack on Louis, her power far surpassing that of an Inheritance Ghost Emperor.

"Guardians! A new Guardian!" Louis’s expression tightened, and he had no choice but to retreat. His withdrawal caused the grey chains binding White Clothes to shatter instantly.

"Allow to introduce myself!" Lucy didn’t pursue further but returned to stand behind White Clothes. "I am the eighth Guardian, Blue Clothes, Lucy!"

"You’re a Guardian!" Alexander’s classmate, witnessing this from below, was in utter disbelief, as if confronting the most unimaginable turn of events.

"You chose betrayal, did you really think I was unprepared?" White Clothes spoke with a smile erging on her face. "When the Horror World repeatedly launched attacks and dragged you into the cycle of reincarnation, and then one by one you betrayed, I realized sothing was amiss. Although I’m not sure how those people managed it, how could I be without any preparations?"

"Originally, my plan was to regather the seven Guardians. But unexpectedly, Hades stole the Mist system’s authority, dragging into the cycle as well! To recover from my injuries, I had to temporarily abandon the plan of regathering the Guardians. That was until I noticed soone approaching Blood Clothes. Oh, in the real world, her na is Isabella, right?"

"At the crucial mont when I was recovering from my injuries, I chose not to intervene but to observe instead, When I realized your goal was to create the Ghost Pill, I understood your plan.

I intervened at the last mont to kill Jas and abandoned the idea of creating new Guardians in the Mist World, choosing instead to create Blue Clothes on Earth."

"What I didn’t expect was to find Alexander in the real world. He seed to appear out of nowhere, with no background, yet possessed a forbidden talent. I had my suspicions, so I had Lucy deliberately get close to him and observe him until he entered the Horror Instance. Only then was I sure he was your last hope."

"Now that your last piece has died, do you still not see the truth? You should realize that he, or the Chess Players behind him, were rely tilting at windmills. Even I can’t be defeated, let alone my father!"

Louis, after a long silence, finally spoke up: "As expected of White Clothes! We never thought that the eighth Guardian would not be in the Mist World, but appear in the real world instead. We know the strength and invincibility of our father, but we still want to try."

"Stubborn fools!" White Clothes scoffed, lifting her hand. "It’s ti to end everything! The Horror World no longer needs to exist!"

As she spoke, she swung her hand down fiercely. Billions of Hell Warriors simultaneously drew their swords and charged at the ghost army. Strangely, facing the unbeatable army of billions of Ghost Saints, the trillion-strong ghost army remained calm and unafraid, as if waiting for sothing.

The Ghost Saints, with their incredible speed, reached the front lines in the blink of an eye. When one of them swung their long sword, the dazzling blade light lit up the sky, the ground cracked beneath their feet, and the surrounding Mist instantly dispersed, altering the very atmosphere.

Such was the terror of the Ghost Saints; a single strike could kill tens of thousands of ghost soldiers, including the dark shadows, and even Alexander wouldn’t be able to withstand it.

And there were billions of such enemies on the battlefield.

Brilliant blade lights shone like a tsunami, rushing towards the Ghost Realm army. Still, the ghost army made no move, calmly facing everything.

Just as the first blade light was about to strike the ghost army, it suddenly froze as if ti had stopped.

The wind ceased, and the mist no longer churned.

A beautiful woman suddenly appeared before the endless blade lights, gently waving her hand, and the blade light shattered like a broken mirror.

"I am the Chess Player you spoke of. My na is Sofia," she said calmly to White Clothes. "You should have heard of my na."
