As long as you have the courage, fierce ghosts go on maternity leave. Chapter 204: Prepare for the return of our leader!
"Jas is an orphan? That can’t be right. I just saw his sister not long ago!" Alexander exclaid, his shock evident, even in the face of Selena’s previous caution.
"Sister... Impossible!" The Blood Queen asserted firmly. "Don’t even ntion a sister. Jas grew up in an orphanage and never saw his parents. There’s no way he could have a sister!"
"Could there be a chance," Alexander started cautiously, sensing the Blood Queen’s heightened emotions, "that the Jas you know deceived you?"
"Impossible!" She didn’t even hesitate. "I saw that orphanage with my own eyes. Jas cannot possibly have a sister!"
With her own eyes?
Alexander’s eyes widened in shock. According to the Blood Queen, ghosts from the world could never enter reality.
Unless there was a— Ghost Servant Pact! To his knowledge, no tool existed that allowed one to make such a pact; it seed to be a unique talent he possessed.
Could it be that Jas possessed this sa talent? No one understood the power of this exceptional social prowess better than Alexander.
It explained how Jas beca the Ghost Emperor at such a young age and even took on the role of the Ghost Apartnt’s landlord. With this unique ability, it was indeed a possibility.
Of course, there was also the chance that Jas gained access to the Ghost Servant Pact through other ans, like a reward.
But that wasn’t the key issue. The Ghost Servant Pact was so dominant that even the master of the pact couldn’t interact with it. Once the pact was established, everything about the ghost servant belonged to the master.
The death of a ghost servant had no effect on the master, but if the master died, the ghost servant would be obliterated.
If the Blood Queen was bound by the Ghost Servant Pact, it ant that the forr landlord of the Ghost Apartnt, Jas, was still alive!
Regardless of the theories— whether he was killed by the Blood Queen in the ghost restaurant video or t his end while producing the Ghost Pill— Jas was presud dead.
Could these assumptions be overturned, proving that Jas was still alive? If so, where was he now? And who exactly was Selena?
"Leave now!" In the midst of Alexander’s thoughts, the Blood Queen seed to lose patience.
With a swift motion of her hand, red silks descended, wrapping Alexander up like a mummy. With a wave of her pale finger, mummy-wrapped Alexander was flung out of the castle window.
Thud!
The dull sound echoed through the silent 17th floor of the apartnt. One by one, the windows of the ghost houses reopened in shock at the sight of Alexander.
Within monts, a ghost house door creaked open.
"Bro, that was impressive!"
A dashing man, no taller than 4 feet 9 inches, approached and leapt up to slap Alexander on the back, saying with familiarity,"I’m Prince Sandi, the Ghost Prince. Mr. Alexander, I’ve long admired your reputation!"
While speaking, Sandi made exaggerated facial expressions and pointed to the red gauze wrapped around Alexander, comnting, "This is the first ti I’ve seen such a treatnt!"
"What do you an?" asked Alexander, puzzled.
"Don’t play dumb! Neither human nor ghost, especially males, dare enter not just the Blood Queen’s castle, but even this forest! Do you know where these red leaves co from? Each leaf represents a life!"
Sandi’s words deeply shocked Alexander.
Every leaf is a living being!
Even if the forest was sparse in foliage, there must be tens or even hundreds of millions of leaves, right?
Such intense murderous intent from the Blood Queen!
While Alexander was silently astounded, Sandi seed very interested, sizing him up and saying, "Impressive! You’re the first man since the last lord of the apartnt to intrigue the Blood Queen. Respect!"
"You’re quite sothing yourself!" Suddenly, a chilling voice intervened.
It was the Blood Queen!
Sandi’s face paled, and he swiftly knelt, pleading, "Spare , my Queen!"
"Felt brave, did you? I sentence you to a month in the Blood Maple Forest to cool off."
With the cold voice of the queen echoing, the red gauze that had wrapped Alexander flew off him and swiftly entangled Sandi.
For Alexander, who’s nearly 6 feet 3 inches tall, at least his head remained exposed despite being wrapped like a mummy.
But for Sandi, who’s not even 5 feet tall, it was a different story. He was yanked off the ground by the gauze, and in the blink of an eye, he beca a red ball tied to a nearby tree branch.
The Prince certainly had guts.No one dared approach Alexander now, fearing they’d end up like Sandi, hung from a tree.
Everyone hid in their rooms, casting envious glances as Alexander approached the staircase.
In the black maple forest, on a second-floor balcony of the castle, moonlight illuminated a fair-skinned figure.
Tears stread down as she whispered, "Little brother... when will you wake up? I’ve waited so long..."
In a futuristic research room, vast screens displayed an endless starscape. A dark river of thumb-sized, black beetles flowed amidst the stars, surrounded by colossal, tallic structures.
These buildings were surrounded by eerie blue currents and a mist, and reflections of figures could be seen. So were in white, eyes shut, while others in red stared into the distance.
Outside the screen stood a commanding figure in military attire, with a youthful face.
"Commander! The target has been successfully connected. Shall we proceed to the next phase?" A soldier asked as he entered.
"Isabella’s wish has finally been fulfilled,"
the commander murmured, turning to announce, "I, Sophia, as the chief commander of the Underworld Project, hereby command the comncent of the next phase. Prepare for the return of our leader!"
...
The light shimred, and Alexander found himself in his new ho.
In just a few days, it felt like an eternity had passed.
He hadn’t checked the news online or looked at horror forums, but he could guess with utmost certainty that the return of the hundred thousand chosen ones would have dominated all the trending topics.
