Gabriel groaned, pushing himself up, but I didn't give him a chance to recover. Leaping into the air, I spun and ca down with an ax kick aid straight for his shoulder. The blow connected, creating a small shockwave, but in his desperation, Gabriel stabbed in the shoulder with a light spear.
….
Pain shot through , but I gritted my teeth and snapped the spear, shattering it into glowing fragnts. Blood trickled down my arm as I jumped back, imdiately activating Observe to assess the situation.

Not bad—I had him on the ropes. I gathered my energy and unleashed my next attack.
"Icicle Lance!" I roared.
Three shimring spears of ice materialized and shot toward him. The first pierced his left shoulder, the second lodged into his right leg, and the third impaled his chest. He staggered, struggling to stay upright.
I wasn't done yet.
"Hell Flare!"
The flas consud him again, lting the icicles and leaving a pool of water beneath his feet. Smirking, I manipulated the water, causing it to snake up his legs before freezing it solid. Gabriel's movents stopped—his legs now locked in ice.
Summoning my katana, I infused it with flas, channeling magic until the blade ignited with a fierce glow. The fire intensified, burning brighter as it shifted to a blue hue.
One last Observe flashed before my eyes.

"This ends now!" I growled, raising the katana high above my head.
"Super Nova Slash!"
A wave of searing flas erupted from the blade as I brought it down, splitting the air with an ear-piercing roar. The attack struck Gabriel head-on, engulfing him in an explosion of fire and light. His form disintegrated into ash, leaving nothing behind but a glowing orb of energy that hovered montarily before fading away.

I grinned, exhaustion hitting as the notifications rolled in. Opening my inventory, I checked the new loot.

I ntally selected Yes, and the knowledge flowed into instantly. Ideas for new items and potions flooded my mind. My focus then shifted to the two mystery items.

• Jeweler Set: Equipnt for crafting and enchanting magical jewelry.
"Perfect," I muttered, closing the inventory. With this, I was one step closer to building my shop.
I activated Escape Dungeon and returned to my living room, breathing heavily as the transition completed.

Rias leaned back in her chair, her eyes closed as she spoke. "Yes, he said he has no intention of becoming a devil, but he did promise to help us if we ever needed it."
Sona adjusted her glasses, her expression thoughtful. "I see. Well, I might try my luck with him, then. But why hasn't he or Koneko been coming to school?"
"Koneko told she had a fever and didn't want to make it worse, so she stayed ho," Rias explained with a slight smirk. "And her 'lover boy' decided to stay ho and take care of her."
Sona chuckled softly. "That's actually kind of sweet."
"I know, right?" Rias replied, unable to hide her amusent.

[Progress Toward Balance Breaker: 34,709 / 500,000 EXP]
I glanced at the progress bar in my interface. Still a long way to go, but I was getting closer. Smiling to myself, I leaned back, already planning my next move.

Rias sat across from Sona in the student council room, her fingers gently tapping on the table. The conversation had circled back to the sa topic it always did lately—Shiro.
"I can't help but be intrigued by what's inside him," Rias said, her crimson locks falling over her shoulder. "It feels like it's more than just a sacred gear."
Sona adjusted her glasses, her expression thoughtful. "I agree. Even though I've only spoken to him a few tis, there's definitely sothing he's hiding. Whether it's another sacred gear or sothing else entirely, I can't say. But I do know one thing—he's strong."
Akeno, who was leaning against the nearby desk, smirked as she chid in. "Not just strong—he also knows magic."
Tsubaki's interest piqued at that. "What kind of magic?"
Rias leaned back slightly as she thought it over. "Fire magic, for starters. I gave him a few books on magic—one dealt with ice, another with lightning, and the last one had sothing to do with tal manipulation."
"So, he's a magician?" Sona asked, her tone curious but skeptical.
Rias shook her head. "Not exactly. Koneko told he's very skilled with a sword. Plus, his hand-to-hand combat skills are even better. He's versatile—like a warrior and a mage rolled into one."
"His grades are even higher than ours," Sona pointed out, flipping through a docunt. "He's smart. Too smart for soone who just transferred here."
"Exactly," Rias said. "Oh, by the way, I found out what Issei's sacred gear is."
Sona looked up. "And?"
"The Boosted Gear."
Sona's eyes widened for a mont before she smirked. "Looks like you've landed yourself a very strong pawn."
Rias allowed herself a proud smile. "Yes, I have."
Sona's expression shifted as she rested her chin on her hand. "This might an you finally have a way out of that arranged marriage with Riser."
"If it cos down to it, I know my brother will arrange a rating ga," Rias said with confidence.
"Well, at least I don't have an arranged marriage hanging over my head," Sona said, standing up.
Rias rolled her eyes but smiled as the conversation shifted topics.
