[Would you like to purchase?]

"Fuck yes," I said without a second's hesitation.

"This will co in handy," Voltaris noted, a hint of dark amusent in his tone.

An evil smile spread across my face. "I could train them to death… and then just bring them back."

"You're a twisted bastard, partner."

"Look who's talking," I shot back.

"Touché."

I bought ten of them for later use. I took one out of my inventory. It was a smooth, milky-white stone that felt warm to the touch.

Observe:

[Revival Stone]: Place on the chest of anyone who has recently died to revive them. Single use.

I put it away just as the bell above the shop door chid. I turned around to see Azazel leaning against the doorfra.

"Yo," he said.

"Yo," I replied.

"I ca to tell you that there will be a eting tomorrow," he said, getting straight to the point. "The leaders of the Three Factions will be present. Rias and her peerage will be there. I'd like you and your peerage to be there as well."

"Hmm, I guess I could," I said, my mind already working.

"Also, have you heard that Xenovia left the Church? She's joined Rias's peerage."

"Okay," I replied, my mind still elsewhere.

Azazel's sharp eyes narrowed slightly. "Are you worried about sothing?"

I let out a long sigh, deciding to take a leap of faith. I pulled out one of the Revival Stones and handed it to him.

"What's this?" he asked, taking the stone and examining it.

"That's a Revival Stone," I said. "It will let you revive the recently dead."

I saw his eyes widen, the carefree mask dropping for a split second to reveal the ancient, calculating being underneath.

"Consider this an alliance gift," I continued. "I've been thinking. I'm not in any of the Three Factions, so I'm starting my own."

A slow, intrigued smirk spread across his face. "And what would this new faction be called?"

"The Dragon Faction."

"Fitting," he chuckled. "But you'll have to tell the other faction leaders tomorrow to make it official."

"Agreed."

He looked from the stone back to . "But why are you giving this to ? I understand that it's an alliance gift, but… I feel as if there's sothing else."

"Sigh I don't know how," I admitted, the words spilling out before I could stop them. "But I just feel as if there's so serious shit coming. I want to be prepared. I'm not going to lie, I've been trying to keep it together, telling myself that it's just nervousness. But the feeling in my gut says otherwise. I just want to be sure."

A look of deep understanding appeared in Azazel's eyes, the kind one only gets from living for centuries and seeing countless wars.

"I know you're worried," he said, his voice unusually gentle. "But you're young. Too young to be carrying a burden like that. Let us adults handle it for a bit. But you're always welco to help."

He placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. "Shiro, you're so powerful at such a young age, you haven't had a chance to understand what it ans to be a kid. I know your childhood wasn't the best, but trust when I say that your life is changing, and for the better. But if you ever need soone to talk to… just know that I'm here."

"Thank you," I said, the words feeling wholly inadequate.

"No problem," he replied with a genuine smile. And with that, he was gone.

….

I teleported back to my castle, the quiet halls a stark contrast to the tumultuous thoughts in my head.

The delicious sll of cooking led to the kitchen, where I saw Koneko humming softly to herself as she prepared a al. I smiled and headed out to the training grounds.

The sight that greeted was impressive. All of my peerage mbers were training hard. Sanji and Alucard were locked in a fierce but controlled spar, a blur of kicks and sword slashes.

Morgiana was fighting a massive rock elental that Pisti had summoned, her powerful kicks sending cracks through its stony hide.

I could see Pisti herself nearby, her eyes closed in concentration as she focused, channeling power into the elental to keep it strong.

Over to the side, Asia was ditating. I could barely see it, but she was levitating slightly off the ground, a serene aura of holy energy surrounding her.

I was so proud of them.

"Yo!" I yelled, my voice echoing across the grounds.

They all stopped and ca over to , their faces flushed with exertion.

"We're training in my dungeon," I announced. "Grab hold."

They all did so, though I could see Pisti and Morgiana were a bit confused. I selected the 'Hard Army' dungeon from the nu, and the world dissolved around us. When it reford, we were standing on a vast, scorched plain under a perpetually twilight sky.

"Asia, go ditate over there," I instructed, pointing to a safe-looking outcrop of rock. "I'll call you if we need you."

"Okay, Shiro," she said with a sweet smile. She then leaned in and gave a quick, soft kiss on the cheek. I felt a light blush creep up my face as I heard laughter from the guys. The girls, however, just looked a little jealous.

I cleared my throat and turned to the rest of them, my expression turning serious. "I won't be helping you in the least," I stated. "You all will be training. This is what I did last ti to get stronger. I want to see if you all are ready for what's to co."

I saw them all nod, their eyes filled with a fierce determination to prove themselves.

"And…" I began, the words hard to say. "I'm sorry that I always just jump in front of you all, between you and the enemies. It's just… I don't want to lose any of you."

Sanji took a long drag from his cigarette, the tip glowing brightly in the dim light. "You're just worried," he said, his voice calm and understanding.

"And you're stronger than we are. It's understandable that you would do that." He exhaled a stream of smoke. "But it's okay to let us take a hit or two for our King, every now and then."

I saw everyone else nodding in agreent, their expressions unwavering.

"Thanks," I said, a genuine warmth spreading through my chest. I then grinned. "But good luck with this."

The ground began to tremble. In front of them, the earth churned, and from it rose an army. One thousand hissing vampires, one thousand shrieking goblins, one thousand rattling skeletons, and one thousand roaring ogres.

"Welp," I said, already backing away. "Good luck."

I jumped over to where Asia was ditating and sat down to watch. Morgiana, Sanji, Zoro, and Alucard didn't hesitate.

They charged straight at the line of ogres in front of them, a united front of pure physical power. Pisti summoned two more rock elentals, but this ti, I noticed she wasn't pouring her own energy into them.

Instead, she used her nature magic, causing thick, thorny vines to erupt from the ground, ensnaring and crushing the ogres her friends weren't fighting. They were already working as a team.
