Chapter 154: Chapter 145 No!

The following day, Chu Mingcheng got up early, dressed in clean clothes, and drove Jiang Luoluo’s car to the airport.

He had specifically taken the car to a car wash, so it was spotless inside and out.

He’d been using his own car to transport seafood, and although he was careful, there was still a faint odor.

By nine twenty-sothing, he arrived at the airport’s exit to wait.

There were many private cars around, clearly there to pick people up.

Just after ten, a fresh-faced beauty wearing a fisherman’s hat walked out, pulling her suitcase and looking for a familiar car at the door.

...

Zhang Ruoi was with her, to his surprise.

Chu Mingcheng quickly got out of the car and went over, “Luoluo!”

Upon seeing him, Jiang Luoluo’s face broke into a radiant smile, “Ah Cheng, you ca to pick up!”

“Of course, we had agreed on it,” Chu Mingcheng stepped forward to take her suitcase and led her to the car, “How was your ti in Peng City? Was that ani convention fun?”

“It was unimpressive. There was a lot of chaotic stuff like photo shoots, et-and-greets, and dance rehearsals—I barely had ti to go out and have fun,” Jiang Luoluo shook her head in dissatisfaction, “If they hadn’t offered a good price, I wouldn’t have bothered going.”

Of course, she didn’t ntion one benefit: increased fa.

Most web celebrities aren’t as impressive offline as they are online. While so are not to say unattractive and passable, they just seem very average compared to their online presence.

In contrast, Jiang Luoluo’s looks weren’t that far behind when compared online.

However, once seen in person, her follower count on social dia gained about a hundred thousand more fans just over those few days.

If she had a company backing her, she could have perhaps gained a few million followers.

But how many of those millions were inactive followers, that remained unknown.

The two chatted as they walked ahead, with Zhang Ruoi silently trailing behind, feeling completely forgotten.

But Zhang Ruoi, always observant, didn’t intrude to assert her presence.

It wasn’t until Chu Mingcheng had put Jiang Luoluo’s suitcase in the car that he suddenly rembered there was another person.

He turned naturally to Zhang Ruoi and said, “Co on, give your suitcase; I’ll put it in the car for you.”

“Thanks a lot!”

Zhang Ruoi didn’t hesitate to hand over her suitcase to him.

As the car drove, she took the initiative to say she wanted to go ho for lunch.

But both Chu Mingcheng and Jiang Luoluo knew she usually ate out at lunchti, so they drove straight to a family restaurant.

After lunch and dropping Zhang Ruoi off at her house, Chu Mingcheng then took Jiang Luoluo back to their complex.

“Ah, I’m so tired!”

Once they were ho, Jiang Luoluo dumped her suitcase by the door and scampered to the sofa, where she bounced slightly as she flopped down.

Indeed, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

“The weather’s nice today; you should take out your quilts to air them out. I’ll help you clean up.”

Seeing Chu Mingcheng rolling up his sleeves to clean, Jiang Luoluo quickly got up to stop him, “Oh no, no need for that, I’ll call housekeeping to clean up. Cleaning myself is too tiring!”

She was fine with simple tidying, but for a full room cleaning, she always called for housekeeping.

Chu Mingcheng, hearing this, dropped the subject as he wasn’t fond of cleaning either.

“Do you want to see Xiao Mi and her kids? This ti when Zhang Wei ca over, not only did he drive my car here, he also brought Xiao Mi and her family!”

“Eh, Xiao Mi and her family are here? Why didn’t you say so earlier!” Jiang Luoluo exclaid with delight, and hurriedly put on her shoes to run to Chu Mingcheng’s house.

Chu Mingcheng followed behind with a chuckle, closing the door behind them. When they got to his place, he found she was already petting the cats.

“Xiao Mi’s kittens are too cute, their little paws so pink and tender.”

The three little ones seed to have just been fed and were quietly lying in their nest, becoming drowsy, while Jiang Luoluo gently stroked them, squatting in front of the nest.

Xiao Mi had gone to the balcony, comfortably basking in the sun, lying on its back, seemingly exhausted from taking care of the kittens and occasionally seeking a mont of peace.

However, the three kittens were chubby and healthy, clearly well looked after.

Chu Mingcheng appreciated this pet care approach—it hardly required any effort on his part; he just had to feed them and clean up after them.

But he knew it was only temporary. Once the kittens were old enough to roam, he would have to take them out frequently, even to the sea on his boat.

From a certain perspective, tabby cats are much like Huskies, full of energy. If they’re not taken out often to exhaust their excess energy, they’re guaranteed to drive you nuts.

So, tabby cats aren’t particularly suited for city life. They’re better off in the countryside, where they can roam freely every day.

At that mont, Jiang Luoluo took out her phone and snapped a few photos of the kittens.

Seeing this, Chu Mingcheng thought of Rat Spot and said, “Luoluo, co here, I’ve got sothing cool to show you.”

“What is it?” Jiang Luoluo asked curiously as she got up and followed him to the kitchen.

When she saw him open the fish box and spotted the comically ugly little fish inside, she was taken aback.

Then she exclaid, “Wow, is that a Rat Spot?”

“Yeah, that’s the king of the Four Great Fish, specially reserved for you.” The reaction from Jiang Luoluo pleased Chu Mingcheng, but his trump card was still to co!
