Chapter 119: Chapter 116: Wanted to Sleep In But Was Called by the Elder to Go Fishing [Seeking Monthly Pass]

Until the sun began to set in the west, the mudflats were marked with a vast expanse of Chu Mingcheng’s footprints.

He sighed softly, feeling that he had been too presumptuous.

Wild Earth Dragons were rare, and the chances of encountering one were low; it wasn’t surprising that he hadn’t found a second one.

Carrying the only Earth Dragon and so mud snails, Chu Mingcheng walked to a relatively clean rock and sat down to wash with the muddy yellow seawater.

He managed to scrub the mud from his hands and feet; as for whether they were really clean, that would have to do for now.

When he got ho, he kept the Earth Dragon and took a shower.

...

He had been planning to cook dinner when he received Jiang Luoluo’s makeup test photos.

“How is it, does it look good?”

Chu Mingcheng opened the picture and scrutinized it; the makeup was quite heavy, typical of a goddess in a fantasy TV series, with a silver-white floral pattern on her forehead and eyeshadow in the sa color family.

Dressed in a white traditional dress with sheer layers, she looked both holy and beautiful.

If it were shot as a video, the makeup and costu would appear even more natural.

“I’ve never seen you look ugly. The makeup complents the the of the dance, it looks great.”

Jiang Luoluo sat in a chair, with her stylist behind her working on a new hairstyle for her.

This ti, her dance wouldn’t just show a holy side but also a free one, so there would be two sets of styles.

Once one set was confird, they were now trying out the other.

When she saw the ssage Chu Mingcheng replied with, she couldn’t help laughing out loud, causing the stylist who was halfway through braiding her hair to let it all co undone.

The stylist was a woman who had grown very familiar with her.

She tapped Jiang Luoluo’s head gently and scolded, “What’s with the sudden laughter? Sit still, don’t move.”

Zhang Ruoi, who was reading a magazine nearby, glanced over and teased, “Soone’s chatting with her boyfriend, isn’t giddy laughter to be expected?”

“Boyfriend?” The stylist’s voice rose by several pitches, “Luoluo, you got a boyfriend?”

Jiang Luoluo blushed with embarrassnt as she explained, “Don’t listen to Sister i’s nonsense, he’s just a regular friend!”

Which highly skilled stylist wasn’t shrewd?

She caught on to sothing imdiately and teased along, “Oh, just a ‘regular’ friend, huh? Why don’t we call him over and get to know him?”

“Stop teasing, you’re making a completely ordinary friendship seem like it’s sothing more,” Jiang Luoluo said with forced composure and slight annoyance.

At this point, Zhang Ruoi suddenly stretched out her hand and snatched the mobile phone from her.

“Hey, Sister i, what are you doing?” Jiang Luoluo, sitting on the chair, tried to get up and chase after her but was firmly held down by the stylist.

“Wanying just wants to et your ‘regular’ friend,” Zhang Ruoi emphasized the word ‘regular’ and then sent a ssage to Chu Mingcheng.

“Ah Cheng, Sister i has to leave early because of sothing this evening. Could you co pick up?”

“Sure, I’ll be right there!”

Chu Mingcheng, unaware of the change, readily agreed.

His car was on loan to her for her use, so it was only right for him to pick her up, especially since it ant she would have difficulty getting around otherwise.

“Sister i, why are you doing this!” Jiang Luoluo was pinned to the chair, watching Zhang Ruoi send the ssage, feeling both helpless and a bit shy.

She didn’t know how the two would tease her once the person arrived.

At the sa ti, she didn’t understand why, but she was also looking forward to the acknowledgent of Chu Mingcheng from the people around her.

After more than half an hour, her styling was complete, and she had changed into a red dance dress with a waist cutout when Chu Mingcheng arrived.

He parked the car on a roadside spot and looked around, spotting an advertisent for a styling studio on the third floor of a building where Jiang Luoluo was located.

The first floor was all storefronts, and Chu Mingcheng had to inquire to find out he needed to take the side alley to the building’s back door to go upstairs.

He navigated his way to the third floor of the styling studio, and upon pushing open the door, he saw Jiang Luoluo dressed in red.

If her white dress signified icy purity, then the red dress was passionate fire, and even her facial makeup had undergone a significant change.

“Ah, Ah Cheng, you’re here!” Zhang Ruoi, upon seeing Chu Mingcheng, quickly signaled to Chen Wan Ying with her eyes, then stood up to greet him.

“Huh, Zhang Ruoi, aren’t you supposed to be gone? Why are you still here?” Chu Mingcheng was surprised to see Zhang Ruoi still there.

“Sister i tricked you with my phone!” Jiang Luoluo hurriedly explained.

“Tricked ?” Chu Mingcheng was puzzled, not understanding the situation.

“Surely a handso guy indeed, no wonder soone would suddenly start giggling while texting,” Chen Wan Ying teased as Jiang Luoluo showed a mix of shyness and embarrassnt, leading Chu Mingcheng to make so guesses.

“Ha, looks like the jokes I make are pretty funny after all,” Chu Mingcheng said, deflecting the situation.

Seeing Chu Mingcheng approaching the situation lightheartedly, Zhang Ruoi and Chen Wan Ying exchanged a look and smiled, deciding not to tease anymore.

It was primarily because they weren’t well acquainted; a little teasing was fine, but too much could be inappropriate.

“Ah Cheng, what do you think of Luoluo’s red dress look?” Zhang Ruoi asked.

Chu Mingcheng stroked his chin and scrutinized it carefully, guessing, “This outfit should represent the second song, about a snake demon, right? Since the the is freedom, and the third life is a goddess, then the second and first lives should also be about freedom. Do you have another costu for the first life?”

Having spent the last few days in Jiang Luoluo’s dance studio, although he hadn’t discussed the choreography, he had watched the dance and could guess at Jiang Luoluo’s intentions.
