"You've turned into a beautiful woman," I muttered, stroking the hair of the woman who proceeded to ball her eyes out.
It was only for a few minutes, but the world felt completely silent as a small breeze wafted over , and the woman refused to let go of .
"Yin, I have to go see my family… do you know where they are? Are they still in the castle? My… senses feel a bit disoriented after changing planes,"
"Y-Yes!" She exclaid, excited to fulfill a new mission for upon returning.
She may have matured physically, but that excited and almost puppy-like aura of hers hadn't disappeared when in front of .
"F-Follow ," She muttered and quickly ran in the opposite direction of the kingdom, making a bit anxious as to what was happening down there.
But for now, I should check up on my loved ones and apologize for everything… and if they don't forgive , then I'll work hard to make sure I earn their forgiveness.
Suddenly, just as we began to reach the edge of the forest and approached a new zone within the Mountain of Twilight, Yin began to slow down.
"Is there sothing wrong?" I asked before both of us ca to a complete stop.
"I… I want you to praise ," She blushed, unable to turn around due to the embarrassnt flooding not only her face but her entire body.
"Oh? My little Yin is getting greedy?"
"N-No! I just… felt… like…"
Her words slowly trailed off as I stared at the back of her head, causing her head to slowly hang with disappointnt.
"S-Sorry," She apologized before leading further up the Mountain of Twilight.
It wasn't long before we turned in the direction of the snow-capped peak, and I found myself fighting various snow drakes that attempted to fight us.
But they were no more than flies now, so I just let the disappointed Yin handle it for .
It took about three hours to finally reach the top, even with our insanely fast speed and stamina, but once we reached it, it was all worth it.
At the very top were no longer the ruins of a large castle but a new smaller palace that could only be seen once you reached the peak.
I took the position ahead, aning to explore the place as I slowly walked up to the massive entrance guarded by high elves.
All of them were familiar faces, but would they be able to recognize ?
"M-Mistress… what should I do now?" Yin asked quietly from behind, looking up at the massive palace as if fearful of what was in there.
I slowly turned around and t eye-to-eye with the woman, who imdiately lowered her gaze and hung her head to show respect.
"Co here," I ordered, and my sweet little pet thought she was getting punished, so she squeezed her eyes shut and prepared herself for the worst.
But, the sudden warm embrace that wrapped around her was a pleasant surprise that she snapped her eyes open to.
Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes yet again, and as I gently pet her head, she let out another long trail of tears.
"You did a good job… good girl," I praised her, and she slightly shivered underneath my frost breath.
But, it didn't take long for our heartwarming mont to be interrupted by one of the elven guards who had stepped forward to question us.
"What do you want?" I snarled.
"Reveal your status," He ordered without even a hint of respect in his voice, so I just knew he didn't rember .
But that was fine, as once I revealed my status, his eyes widened, and he nearly fell onto his ass.
