He was standing in front of a shelf of healing potions, and next to him was Khaya. Today was the day she and her clan’s elders t Li Shuang to join the Tang Empire. They t here and would et at the Tang Garden. That was the easiest way to set up a eting place, since the Tang Empire’s territory was not readily accessible at the ti.
After getting complete samples of all kinds of potions from different shops with different prices, Khaya brought him to et the Daenelis Clan’s Chief and Elder. He saw a familiar face, soone he recognized but did not rember who the man was.
Tang Shaoyang was confident that he had seen the man who stood behind the Chief of Daenelis Clan. The fact that he didn’t rember his na might be because he was unimportant. He ignored the man reaching the Chief’s hand for a handshake.
"I am Tang Shaoyang."
"I have heard your nas a lot," The chief that looked like he was still in his forties responded with a smile and a nod, "My na is Avourel Daenelis, the Chief of the Daenelis Clan."
He then started to introduce the seven Elders, but he didn’t introduce the man behind him.

He turned toward the voice, the only woman in the elder rank, and she looked much older than everyone else with those heavy wrinkles. She might be over one thousand years old, or maybe even over ten thousand years old, for her to have those kinds of wrinkles. Her na was Oriphine.
"Yes?"
"Why do we have to hold the eting in this Tang Garden? Is there any specific reason we can’t talk here?" Oriphine asked.
Tang Shaoyang felt sothing bad from that question, distrust. He then glanced at Khaya since he had told her why they couldn’t have the eting in this place. However, it seed Khaya also was not expecting this from her Elder.
"Because the people you will talk to can’t be here. Can we go now?"
"I have safety concerns because we don’t know what kind of place this Tang Garden is. How are you going to guarantee our safety in this Tang Garden?" Oriphine was not going to drop it.
It looked like she was trying to fish out sothing from Tang Shaoyang, and he didn’t like it. The eting was held at their request. He agreed to the eting, and now they were trying to do sothing weird he didn’t know. He quickly figured out there might be more than just joining the Tang Empire.
"The rule is simple. Don’t do sothing stupid, and you will be safe. What you are doing right now is considered sothing stupid. You are requesting this eting. You are the one who needs this eting, not . If you are so concerned about your safety, we can cancel the eting."

Tang Shaoyang just nodded and brought them to the Tang Garden. The mont he arrived in the Tang Garden, he sent a ssage to Glodden to keep a tight watch on his daughters. Then he also sent a ssage to his Chief Caretaker to keep a watch on their guest.
They had set up a table in the open place near the pond, and he shook his head at Li Shuang, telling her they were up to no good. He decided to continue the eting because he was giving Khaya a face.
Li Shuang greeted them with her business smile, polite while telling them to enjoy the snacks they had prepared. Li Shuang was not alone; Zhang ngyao, Wei Xi, Ava, Aleesa, and Alissa joined the eting.
Tang Shaoyang planned to leave the eting to his wives since he trusted Khaya. However, the early interaction changed his mind. He must be here to make sure nothing went south.
They started the eting with a formal introduction. They quickly beca friendly, but no one touched the main topic. Then they got to the main topic after so ti, about the Daenelis Clan joining the Tang Empire as a vassal.
This was just a simple interview, asking them why they wanted to join the Tang Empire. What was their goal, and she would ask them to follow the empire’s regulation if they wanted to join and so on, but one of the Elders, Elder Ivaran, kept cutting Li Shuang’s words.
Li Shuang had patience and beca a bigger person. She let Elder Ivaran finish his thoughts, but it kept repeating. Then it quickly turned around, and Elder Ivaran started asking about how many God Ranks the Tang Empire had.
"How many God Ranks do you have?" The question itself was questionable, but what made it worse was his tone. There was an authoritative tone in his voice, commanding.
"Why does it matter?" Li Shuang stopped smiling, and so did everyone else
The only ones who kept their smiles were Chief Avourel, the man behind him, and four Elders, which included the woman elder.
"Of course, it matters. The Daenelis Clan has 27 God Ranks, and from what I know, the Tang Empire only had 3 God Ranks. If you want us to join your little empire, you’d better give us many great privileges. It’s fair, right? Because the Daenelis Clan will boost your empire’s force substantially."
Tang Shaoyang imdiately stood up, "Alright, the eting is over. You are not needed in the Tang Empire."
He was about to teleport them out of the Tang Garden until Elder Oriphine stood up and took out her bow. An arrow appeared in her right hand, and she aid at the sky.
Tang Shaoyang no longer hesitated and teleported them out. However, Oriphine managed to shoot an arrow. He didn’t think much since he thought she was shooting one of his flying Beast Spirits. He was about to question Khaya until Oriphine said sothing alarming.
"Are you sure you want to scold her instead of checking your garden?" There was a smugness in her tone.
