Shu Wei breathed a sigh of relief, having sowhat felt the boundaries.

If the punishnt is unknown, then the deterrence is imasurable.

As long as there are rules, there is room for maneuver.

"Aren't you curious, conductor, why the Deep Blue Data and Black Kite could know about the apocalypse so far ahead of ti?" Feeling Su Huan's hands getting out of control, Shu Wei quickly said.

"You know?"

Su Huan was sowhat surprised.

He hadn't expected to obtain such critical information from Shu Wei.

So he was too busy with the torture and forgot to ask.

The two sat on the floor in a very intimate posture, with Su Huan's arms around her firm waist.

"I don't know the specific details, but that day a military car ca to take my father away."

Although he had guessed, Su Huan still felt a sense of absurdity after it was confird.

Such crucial information about the apocalypse was kept from everyone in the organization, leaving billions of people in the dark, yet it was shared with so private enterprises.

Following this was a naless anger.

What do they consider themselves?

Social redundancies?

Trash ant to highlight the superiority of the elite?

A deep and chilling aura spread through the room, making Shu Wei's hair stand on end.

Su Huan said calmly, "Continue."

"After coming back, he kept silent, refusing to speak no matter what I asked, and then did so things that seed very strange at the ti. Initially, I cared, but after a few years, I forgot about them."

"How many years exactly?"

"I rember clearly because it was my birthday; it was 2030. Later, I found out they had been preparing for the apocalypse all along, but at the ti, I didn't want to see him, so I didn't know much."

"Tell

sothing about Black Kite."

"Black Kite's full na is the Strategic Biological Defense and Anomalous Evolution Research Institute, abbreviated as Black Kite Biological Laboratory. It's a force composed of laboratories and so private enterprises. The laboratory is its core part, and it also has administrative and special operations departnts, which together are known as the three major authority departnts. There are so minor departnts that can be basically ignored, and our tactical team belongs to the special operations departnt..."

"The thod to distinguish ranks is very simple—look at the material of the iris brooch. The lowest-level personnel don't have brooches, followed by copper iris, silver iris, golden iris, dark gold iris, and the top-level black kite."

"For instance, my mother is a golden iris, equivalent to a high-ranking departnt officer. The directors are dark gold irises, and there's only one top-level black kite..."

"Chairman?" Su Huan suddenly asked.

The woman shook her head calmly, "That was probably what that bitch told you. It's just a speculation of theirs at the lower levels. In reality, the Black Kite is the helmsman of the laboratory and one of the true power-holders of the entire Black Kite."

The woman's skin felt nice to the touch. Although not as smooth and soft as Yu Yue, her flesh and bones were well-proportioned and full of resilience.

But despite their intimate movents, there wasn't the slightest hint of ambiguity in the atmosphere.

Shu Wei kept talking, while Su Huan listened silently, comparing the information to that from Su Reya.

"So, does the Black Kite or soone with a higher rank know so of the world's secrets?"

Su Huan asked abruptly.

Shu Wei pondered for a mont, "The Black Kite is already a top-level power. As far as I know, smaller forces like the Steel Council are the minority. Both dostic and foreign, only major enterprises are privy to the news of the apocalypse, but as to why it's these companies, I have no idea..."

"What about the military?"

"The news about the military is very tightly sealed. What is certain is that there have been moves very early on, but the targets and scale are unknown."

Su Huan let out a quiet sigh, understanding a lot, but critical information was still hidden. To truly understand the truth of the apocalypse, he would have to continue heading further north.

If his initial flight north was driven by the fear of natural disasters,

now it's a stubbornness of wanting to see the truth, regardless of any obstacles.

No grand principles, no heroism, Su Huan just wants to see what these bastards are plotting.

If it doesn't suit his ideas,

then he'll fucking tear it all down!

...

Outside, the sky gradually darkened, with waves slapping the carriage, producing a rhythmic roar.

Thankfully, the soundproofing was good, so it wasn't noisy inside the compartnt.

After interrogating all afternoon, Su Huan hadn't had ti for lunch, but he had eaten so many pears and wasn't very hungry.

He pulled up his pants and headed out the door.

Shu Wei followed closely behind him, wearing Su Huan's discarded n's clothing.

A black long-sleeve shirt, wide-leg casual pants, paired with raven-colored long hair, her complexion appeared even more pale.

At first glance, she bore so resemblance to the briskly walking Su Huan ahead.

Only Su Huan always had so unruly lines, disrupting the harmony of his aura, giving off an unbridled chaotic feel.

Lao San, who was standing in the dining car corridor smoking, froze upon seeing the two erge from the sa door.

Su Huan glanced his narrow eyes over, reached out to snuff out his cigarette, and then punched his increasingly solid chest with a "bang," warning him while watching him grimace, "Dock your month's wages, go tell Hu Shuo yourself."

Lao San was stunned, looking down at the extinguished cigarette in his hand, realizing he'd be cut off for the whole month, imdiately feeling the pain,

and quickly said, "Conductor, I need to say sothing, we've got an insider on the train!"

Su Huan, while walking, furrowed his brows.

What was going on with Tong Zizhan's two people, allowing Lao San to discover them?

He had already put it off for several days, but was still caught by this damn guy, leaving no room for delay this ti.

"Stop howling, get everyone over for dinner."

Lao San's expression turned tense; if the conductor called for a eting, it wouldn't be serious, but if he called for dinner, it usually ant discussing matters crucial to the life and death of the ard train.

The dining car interior had almost been completely replaced, becoming even more luxurious.

The only constant was the busy Yu Yue, bustling over a big pot of stew.

Hearing Su Huan's footsteps, she mumbled, "I made chicken feet, pig trotters, dried tofu, kelp knots, edama, duck necks, chicken gizzards... You don't like things that are troubleso to eat, so I also put in so chicken legs, winglets, and ribs."

Shu Wei was hit by the heat upon entering the dining car, standing silently at the door while watching Yu Yue through the mist.

Su Huan sat directly in his exclusive orange cat sofa.

Yu Yue lifted her head to see the bewildered Shu Wei and suddenly thought of herself upon joining the train. Although curious about her wearing Su Huan's clothes, she was quickly filled with compassion.

Putting down the spatula, she grabbed Shu Wei's hand, "Wash up, then we'll eat. Can you eat spicy food?"

Shu Wei looked at the gentle woman before her, montarily dazed.

Although Yu Yue might be younger by a year or two, Shu Wei saw a shadow of her mother in Yu Yue back then. Her mother was exquisite and beautiful, with always a bright smile.

But that was many years ago.

"A little bit."

"What about the main dish? Rice, buns, or whole grains? I also stead so cornal wotou today..."

Listening to Yu Yue's chatter, Shu Wei's polite smile finally showed a trace of softening.

There was a hint of hesitation in her eyes.

"What's wotou? Is it sweet?"

"Yes, it's sweet."

Yu Yue handed a light yellow wotou to Shu Wei, watching as she tentatively took a small bite.

Sneaking a glance at the silently contemplative Su Huan on the sofa, her round apricot eyes turned into smiling slits, long and sharp.

(Recently, there have been fewer updates, and Ah Qian is deeply reflecting. Most of the initial ideas are used up, and looking at the outline, I'm unsure what specific content to write next. Lately, I've been watching lots of ani, dramas, and books to make up for experiences. Whatever ideas I have are being written down. I'm truly not slacking off, and don't worry about the series being abandoned. This book's outline is quite complete, following it will finish the story, including reasonable explanations for the military, natural disasters, and corporate hegemony that everyone speculated on earlier.)
