Sunshine took another deep breath, ready to unleash her own crazy prophetic dream on her friend. She sat down on a sack of corn flour patted her legs as if she owned space itself, planted her hands on her knees and looked at her friend. "Moon is not crazy because the apocalypse is really coming."

Nimo blinked at Sunshine, her mouth slightly opened as if the words had not fully been processed. She laughed, falling onto her back and kicking her feet in the air.

"Nimo, look at my face." Sunshine said in her stern ’get your shit together’ voice.

Nimo stopped laughing and she sat upright. Whenever Sunshine used that tone, she ant serious business. The first ti she used it; she had asked her to accompany her to Tommy Basil’s house as she was going to break his ankle for stealing her bike.

They walked there, Sunshine had done as she said and then they rode off on the stolen bike listening to the sound of Tommy’s mother yelling at them never to return to her house or she would call the police. They were nine years old at the ti.

The last ti Sunshine used it, was last year when her classmate called Colby plagiarized her work and ruined her project. Sunshine had asked her to escort her to a bar Colby frequented. Then she slashed the tires of his car and broke his nose with a wrench.

If Colby was not on drugs and afraid of the police looking into him, Sunshine would have spent at least a few days in jail.

That tone always ant serious business.

"Okay spill." Nimo pushed herself to stand, moving into a position where she could read her friend’s facial expressions.

Running fingers through her hair, Sunshine let out a deep sigh. "I know that this sounds crazy, but Moon and I died, and we were reborn. I lived through the apocalypse once before. I watched the world crumble and people I loved die. I fought monsters, human and animal." She paused and bit the lower lip. "Nimo I...."

"Stop, you do not need to say more I believe you." Nimo placed her hands on her waist. "The sobbing and missing , is that what it was all about? Did I die or sothing?" She asked.

Nodding slowly, Sunshine confird her friend’s suspicions. "I died too....no scratch that, Moon killed on Cassius’s behest and boom I woke up in bed with Hades Quinn as his new wife." She provided more details about her life in the apocalypse. She had long desired to tell all this to soone, but she couldn’t lay herself bare to any random person not even to Hades.

Nimo punched a sack of rice and Sunshine’s heart nearly dropped. "Not the food, punch the walls but don’t harm the food."

Moon raised her hands and backed away from the rice. "Ha! Why am I not surprised that Moon screwed you over in the apocalypse and after your rebirth. I always told you to watch out for that bitch, but you just thought she was childish and silly.

What did you say....it is a phase, and she will grow out of it. Nobody outgrows selfishness Sunshine. On the contrary, it just increases as people grow.

I have always seen a shadow of jealousy in her eyes each ti you won at sothing at school or when soone said you were prettier than her. And to top it off, Camilla Moore and her bully squad of squirrels were her friends."

"I got so revenge; I have stolen her secret stash of supplies that she prepared for the apocalypse." Sunshine felt the need to prove that she had done sothing to get back at Moon.

Nimo clapped her hands, giving Sunshine a nod of approval. "Good job stealing her stash I would have done so if you had not. She deserves to starve to death or be eaten by one of those mist monsters. If I co across her in the apocalypse, I will kill her myself." Nimo huffed. "So, this thing that you went through, this rebirth? What else happened? I an when does this apocalypse happen?" Nimo continued to ask.

"This rain lasted for fourteen days and then acid rain fell and it was followed by winter, the kind that was colder than any we have ever experienced. It is just as Moon said on television. She ca back three days before , I do not know how since we likely died at the sa ti.

She drugged , then she married Cassius who was my fiancé in the past life and set up to marry Hades who was her husband." Sunshine explained more on her rebirth story.

"That Cunning witch and now she has tead up with that fake pastor to steal from the poor sheep that believe in them." Nimo spoke through pursed lips, clenching her fingers. She hated those that took advantage of others the most.

Sunshine went on to tell her about the apocalypse and broke down the stages on how it would happen.

"Speaking of weird occurrences" Nimo whispered and motioned at Sunshine to move closer. "Strange things have been having in the Fort slide desert, this is confidential you better not tell a single soul." Nimo warned her gravely.

Sunshine nodded and motioned at her friend to keep the information coming.

"Last week, during an early morning run around the base, so soldiers noticed that a few deep cracks appeared in the ground soti during the night. They look like sink holes but smaller in size and smoke is being emitted from them.

Everyone is assuming that they are small sink holes, but nobody really knows how they were ford or what is producing the gas. Our superiors ordered us to keep quiet as they investigate the cause. The base is being emptied out slowly because they don’t want to attract dia attention. It is the real reason behind my leave from the military, not a holiday like I had claid." She was whispering as she finished off.

"Anything else?" Sunshine asked.

Nimo leaned in even closer as if they were conspiring. "There was a rumor before they started sending us off the base that one of the investigation teams did not make it back. Apparently, all the mbers were killed by this gas.

So people are claiming that it is a chemical weapon of so kind, and the base is under attack. Honestly, none of us little minions know the true inside story. We have seen a lot of hazmat suits and nobody from that first team of investigators has been seen alive since then."

Sunshine stood up and folded her arms across her chest. Worry trickled down her spine. She wondered if her timing was off and the apocalypse did not begin with acid rain as they knew but sothing else.

No... not acid rain but teorites! She gasped, recalling what she had forgotten. But teorites had not yet fallen, and they fell just before the acid rain started.

But what if the rebirth had changed things sohow? What if there was sothing else everyone ignored before the teorite and acid rain?

The more she worried, the more her heart sped up. She had to speed up her titable and move to Westbrook quickly.

She waved her hand and took all the food in the warehouse into her space.

"What the hell?" Nimo scread.
