Perhaps it’s because all the Great Demons are essentially the earthly incarnations of the Naraku Gospel, so their Fatian Xiangdi also shares the sa color, that is, the "manifestation of Doomsday Space-Ti."
The arrival of the third Great Demon instantly intensified the apocalypse phenona already unfolding rapidly on the surface, accelerating its spread to phenonal levels.
"——’Stop’!"
Fa Zheng and I instinctively used the Power of Word Spirit, simultaneously deploying our own Fatian Xiangdi, attempting to impede the Doomsday Space-Ti’s encroachnt on the real world.
In normal circumstances, one Fatian Xiangdi cannot cancel another. For instance, my Fatian Xiangdi might manifest the heat of flas in its domain, while Water Navy Xuanwu’s Fatian Xiangdi might manifest rain with water attributes; together, they’d rely create a muggy rainstorm.
According to records, Fa Zheng’s Fatian Xiangdi, in contrast, should make the region cold, forming a stronger opposition with my fiery effects than Water Navy Xuanwu would. Yet, simultaneously deploying Fatian Xiangdi would likely lead to a hot and cold atmospheric convection, possibly stirring up a massive storm.
Similarly, I did not expect our simultaneous deploynt of Fatian Xiangdi to effectively block the Doomsday Space-Ti’s expansion; it was more of a desperate attempt to create, even a half-baked but favorable restraint. Doing sothing is better than nothing, perhaps we might slightly hinder the other side’s erosion efficiency.
Unfortunately, our attempts failed disastrously.
Not only did we fail to successfully hinder the Doomsday Space-Ti, but I felt my Fatian Xiangdi was forcibly overshadowed and unable to unfold properly. It was akin to painting on a canvas where the opposing side’s pignt was darker and heavier than ours. The problem extended beyond Fatian Xiangdi to the Power of Word Spirit too.
It’s not simply because the other side had more numbers; it was a deeper, essential issue. I imdiately realized we were dealing with a "black whistle."
Fatian Xiangdi and Power of Word Spirit, fundantally, do not originate from the power of the Great Impermanence body but are a natural privilege. Just as a massive celestial body can capture smaller bodies and make them satellites, the Great Impermanence can achieve phenona akin to "the world revolving around itself," a form of external natural law.
However, if even the planetary natural will—the Naraku Gospel—stood against us, such favoritism would be withdrawn. While parts of Great Impermanence’s Fatian Xiangdi operate by coloring the surrounding environnt with one’s consciousness force, it doesn’t completely vanish. Yet, with the planetary natural will unconditionally siding with the Three-headed Great Demon, our Fatian Xiangdi being overwheld was inevitable.
"Qilin!" Fa Zheng, furious, pointed his spearhead at the newly appeared third Great Demon.
This Great Demon was "smaller" in size than the previous two, standing only four to five ters tall, with a slender humanoid form, entirely made of black steel, resembling a full-body heavy armor appearing on the battlefield.
Contrary to its size, its mana fluctuations were evidently more colossal than Great Demon Ksitigarbha, steeped in blatant murder intent. I initially felt that just Great Demon Ksitigarbha and Great Demon Yu Lei weren’t sufficient foes against Fa Zheng and , yet the ergence of this new Great Demon altered my view. This was a formidable Great Demon capable of turning the tide, potentially defeating either Fa Zheng or myself.
Qilin—this na I’ve heard of before.
It’s said to be the na of the direct disciple and adopted daughter of Luo Mountain’s most powerful Unpredictable Old Boxing God, also one of the past Lushan Great Impermanence, as well as Weichi’s wife. Due to overwhelming power, mistakenly killed by the Old Boxing God of the past.
As Fa Zheng prepared to unleash his attack, Great Demon Qilin took action.
A space with astonishing speed landed on Fa Zheng’s body.
Unable to see its movent trajectory, I believe Fa Zheng also did not react in ti. It’s akin to standing ten ters away from an archer aiming at you, and attempting to catch sight of the arrow’s course at the mont of the other’s shot. Of course, it’s hard to see.
There was no distinguishing whether it used punches or kicks. In an instant, Fa Zheng was struck and sent flying. Subsequently, I sensed Great Demon Qilin’s killing intent shifting towards myself.
As it launched its next attack, I accelerated my consciousness to the limit. The world in my eyes slowed down to almost a standstill. This ti, I barely managed to capture its movent trajectory, yet I could almost only watch helplessly. From a distance of several hundred ters away, it ca blasting as if with a rapid stabbing punch, like it was coming from close range piercing through the air towards here.
This attack completely locked in; evading was impossible, and there was no ti even for a decent block. I could only reflexively concentrate my strength as much as possible to increase my defense, while the Great Demon Qilin instantly moved in front of and forcefully knocked flying with a knee strike.
This strike nearly shattered my chest, and my soul suffered considerable damage. However, in an instant, I completed the repair of my soul. I don’t know whether it was because I defended in ti, or because super-speed regeneration attracted its attention, the Great Demon Qilin did not pursue Fa Zheng, but without hesitation focused its chase on .
anwhile, the Great Demon Ksitigarbha and Great Demon Yu Lei chased in the direction of Fa Zheng.
I had also done a simple investigation of the Qilin’s background as a Great Impermanence before its death. I can’t claim to know its life story inside out, but I have a general idea.
According to the tales passed down, Qilin was a Great Impermanence specializing in super-speed. Besides the Old Fist God, its extre speed was unmatched in Luo Mountain’s history.
Moreover, Qilin itself was a battle-specialized Great Impermanence, similar to the ancestor of the Zhu family, Zhu Yi, who mastered the power of Gold and Slaughter. During the Great Success Rank, there were rumors of it possibly reversing and defeating a Great Impermanence; after becoming a Great Impermanence, it was unstoppable. As a newly appointed Great Impermanence, it could compete with seasoned Great Impermanences, and subsequently, it quickly mastered the Density Technique, crucial for a Great Impermanence. Its growth was incredibly astonishing.
Thus, even now, many people believe that Qilin could be the super-genius to open the third door after the Old Fist God, and even speculate that the Old Fist God mysteriously killed Qilin out of jealousy of its talent, fearing being surpassed by it.
The Great Demon Qilin did not hurriedly attack again, but after approaching a certain distance, it orbited around like a satellite at high speed, like a seasoned martial artist grasping the distance between themselves and their enemy, ruthlessly analyzing the enemy’s footwork and flaws.
Its movent trajectory was very irregular; maybe there was so thod to it, yet I couldn’t analyze it at all. However, there was one thing I noticed.
For beings like , who are Great Impermanence or those Great Demons, as long as we go all out, our physical movent speed can easily exceed a thousand tis the speed of sound, which is over one-thousandth of the speed of light. Yet, Qilin was far above us, its initial speed at least thirty tis my own.
Considering this level of speed, the impact on the surrounding environnt goes without saying. Although its size is much smaller than other Great Demons, it is still enough to stir up a storm that destroys everything.
The phenonon of that kind of shock wave can be viewed as the energy of the moving object being transferred externally. While the surrounding environnt is destroyed, the speed of the moving object is continuously deprived.
Strangely, such phenona did not occur with the Great Demon Qilin. There were no shockwaves or deceleration. Air resistance seed non-existent for it.
Not only that, but it was continuing to accelerate, step by step moving beyond the limits of my reaction speed.
anwhile, on the other side, through the continuous mana fluctuations, it can be sensed that Fa Zheng at a distance had entered into a tangled fight with Great Demon Ksitigarbha and Great Demon Yu Lei. Shockwaves powerful enough to destroy a city were generated ceaselessly. Fa Zheng was evidently trying to freeze all the shockwaves with his power, as before, but it was becoming an impossible task.
Fa Zheng wasn’t erasing the shockwaves, just forcibly stopping them temporarily. The more the shockwaves accumulated, the greater the burden on Fa Zheng. Even with the Human Dao Divine Weapon in his possession, it was impossible while entangled with two Great Demons to still account for the surrounding environnt. Even if he stubbornly tried, it would only distract him, resulting in a frontal attack from the two Great Demons and thus being unable to maintain the freeze on the shockwaves.
A hero who vows to protect everything is always more constrained than a villain attempting to destroy everything. The combination of Great Demon Ksitigarbha and Great Demon Yu Lei is even more troubleso than the combination of Huang Quan and Great Demon Xuanwu. This is not a battle that Fa Zheng, with a divided focus, can win. If it were and Fa Zheng each dealing with one Great Demon, things might have ended stably, but the appearance of the third Great Demon brutally destroyed this balance.
Finally, the situation completely exceeded Fa Zheng’s control. The long-standing destructive shockwaves on the battlefield of Great Impermanence and Great Demons finally descended dramatically upon this chaotic city.
It was like using a hairdryer at full power to blow away all the scattered paper scraps on the ground. From directly below to the horizon, countless man-made structures were razed to the ground, with large amounts of rubble, soil, and dust shooting into the sky obscuring the sun. Originally, within a hundred miles radius, many life and soul reactions could be sensed, but now they disappeared in swathes, plunging into an incredibly terrifying silence.
This coastal second-tier city thus disappeared from the map, along with the lives of millions of residents turning to smoke and ashes.
