As the attack hit, the multitude of flas that made up my body scattered around like exploding flesh, lingering in the dark room of the control center. Using it as a dium, I was flung a thousand ters away but could still clearly see the scene inside the dark room, and even directly launch an attack.

However, I hadn’t yet figured out what was happening or why Changan would suddenly attack , unleashing such powerful force.

Was this the phenonon of "Demons Bloodline out of control" that Zhu Shi and Mr. Zhu had ntioned before? The base of the container that housed Changan had an Array engraved to undo the seal, perhaps because I unsealed Changan suddenly along the way, causing the program to error and result in the loss of control?

Or maybe the bloodline seal was released normally, and Changan simply couldn’t resist his urge to kill? In fact, the Zhu family was also worried about this possibility, which is why they had Changan ditate before entering the unsealing phase, and Mr. Zhu even did so much preliminary work.

But Lu Chan, the young girl, had told that even if we did take Changan out of the container midway through the unsealing process, it wouldn’t have a negative impact, which is why I confidently freed him. Moreover, Changan was just a "Great Demon" inheriting the Demon bloodline, and even if he really did lose control and rampage, it was hard to imagine he could imdiately unleash the power of the Great Success Rank.

His uncontrolled rampage wasn’t new; he had had episodes as a child too. If back then he had unleashed the power of the Great Success Rank like he does now, not just the Zhu family but all the demon hunters in Saltwater City combined would probably not withstand a single blow from Changan.

During his lifeti, the Great Demon Silver Moon was only at the Great Success Rank, how could Changan, upon waking, possess such level?

Unless the soul of Great Demon Silver Moon genuinely resided within Changan’s body—yet Dr. Silver Mask clearly noted in his journal entries that Silver Moon had long been shattered in the past during the decisive battle with Ying Lingyun. Luo Mountain had also repeatedly confird that Silver Moon left no ans for resurrection.

Even I, an outsider, had doubtful thoughts about Changan’s body harboring any ans of Silver Moon’s resurrection, not to ntion those real experts from Luo Mountain. Since even they judged so, it was hard to imagine any falsehood in it.

Given that, how should this scene I behold now be explained?

Just as I was completely baffled, the changes that next occurred within the dark room only intensified my suspicion that "there was Silver Moon’s soul within Changan’s body"—

I saw the naked Changan slowly rise from the ground, his body erupting with a massive amount of glowing mist. This luminous mist, reminiscent of moonlight and dreamlike illusion, enveloped his whole body and radiated an imnse and unfamiliar mana fluctuation of the Great Success Rank from within.

Mana fluctuations from Divine Spear and Dream Chen Long fiercely clashing in the distance paused, seemingly shocked by this fresh and unfamiliar energy surge.

In an instant, the glowing mist vanished, and the figure that erged was no longer Changan, but a young woman with long white hair, golden eyes, dressed in moonlight white, appearing as youthful as a high schooler.

Her incredibly beautiful face was almost inhuman, stirring a bizarre sense of terror within.

I recognized this face, this woman—it was none other than the Great Demon Silver Moon I had seen in the photos preserved by Dr. Silver Mask!

"You can see this, right, Zhuang Cheng?"

This "Silver Moon" actually called out my na, her tone familiar, almost teasing, then her words harbored a chilling murderous intent, "I didn’t think you’d survive that hit just now, I thought you were only at the achieved realm."

"Are you Silver Moon?"

I repaired my own body, not knowing if she could hear , but I asked anyway.

I couldn’t tell whether she heard or not, but she continued nonchalantly, "You’re my child’s dearest friend, and I’m sorry, but I have to kill you."

Kill ? Why?

Before I had ti to grasp her words fully, she disappeared from the dark room. I was still tumbling high in the air, and she appeared instantly above .

This movent clearly wasn’t a normal physical motion, much closer to Space Transfer.

By now, I wouldn’t be surprised by an opponent using Space Transfer. Actually, from occasionally chatting with Zhu Shi, Space Transfer seed to be a very rare and high-level movent technique, rarely used in combat. Since my own "debut," I’ve encountered too many skilled in such techniques, especially those of the Great Success Rank. Even I, though not capable of Space Transfer, could perform a similar effect with Fla Transmission.

What this Silver Moon used didn’t strictly seem like Space Transfer, it’s more like altering causality and facts. In my perception, it was as if she hadn’t moved, but had been above from the beginning.

Once I spotted her figure, I imdiately lengthened and enlarged my right arm, reaching out to grasp her.

With the intention of trying it out, I attempted to ignite her body with my gaze, but it indeed proved futile. Just like with Chen Long before, the Magic Shield of those at the Great Success Rank could prevent from directly influencing her with my Spirit. This high-density Mana even automatically ford a shield, which obstructed even the fla-light diated ignition attempt.

The next instant, even the extended attack of my right arm was dissolved.

It wasn’t that she had defended against my attack or adopted an evasive posture. Upon regaining my senses, I found that my right arm had returned to its normal length. It was as if I had never made the attacking motion in the first place.

anwhile, Silver Moon had appeared before at so unknown ti, her right hand shaped like a claw aiming for my face.

With such a close-range assault, even I, transfigured into the Fire Elent, couldn’t dodge in ti.

It is said that the superpower possessed by Silver Moon is "turning illusion into reality." In other words, it is an ability that freely modifies the reality of events. It’s hard to imagine there truly exists a character with such an absurd ability. Yet, the changes I was now facing seed to so extent to verify the authenticity of this information.

My attack was inexplicably canceled, and in contrast, Silver Moon’s attack materialized within an unavoidable distance. Reality seed to be modified into a situation solely advantageous to Silver Moon.

Her mysterious previous movent was probably similar; she must have modified reality to have been waiting just above from the start.

Just as her claw was about to reach my face, I simply made my head disappear—a basic maneuver in my Fire Elent form. As her attack missed, my whole body erupted in flas, engulfing her.

Considering Changan’s initial attack on and how he disappeared after Silver Moon appeared, I could only assu that the current Silver Moon was a ghost. She likely possessed Changan’s body and had manifested her own form; now attacking her equated to attacking Changan. However, facing an enemy of the Great Success Rank with such bizarre abilities, I couldn’t always be on the defensive and dodging.

Such a sudden counterattack, even Silver Moon was apparently too slow to react. This was close-range fla eruption, the flas brutally penetrated her Magic Shield and rcilessly ravaged her body.

Her hair was scorched, her eyes burnt blind, her white clothes reduced to ashes, revealing snow-white tender skin that rapidly carbonized and decomposed, the flesh sizzling burningly. She didn’t even have the chance to scream; the extraordinarily beautiful girl turned into a horrifying, pitiful char in the midst of the flas.

Without a doubt, she was experiencing extre agony. Not just physically—my flas didn’t spare her soul either.

And in the next mont, everything vanished.

The bursting flas and the Silver Moon burning within them all turned into nothingness as if they had never occurred. Silver Moon appeared at a distance, suspended in mid-air, her hair, skin, clothes... all intact.

She had altered reality again!

This transformation, rather than "turning illusion into reality," it seed more like "turning reality into illusion." Perhaps this too was an application of her power.

"Great Success Rank and above... and this fla is..."

She seed sowhat puzzled, first looking at her own hands and feet with a strange expression, then turning to look at .

Suddenly showing a curious expression, she asked, "You must be quite close to my child, and you certainly don’t seem foolish enough not to realize I’m using his body. Aren’t you afraid of accidentally killing him?"

"And you, why would you attack ?" I countered.

Of course, I cared greatly for Changan’s life. If possible, I naturally didn’t want to harm him. But I wasn’t foolish enough to comply just because the enemy was holding Changan’s body as leverage. Having co to this point, I also had to prepare myself for the corresponding resolution—even if it ant breaking all of Changan’s limbs or burning half his life away to take him back.

At worst, later I could ask Mazao to use the Power of Return to nd Changan, or use other thods to heal him. Even if Changan still had his sense of awareness, and I had caused him psychological trauma, one could always find soone to use spiritual spells and items to erase his traumatic mories.

If the burns resulted in complications that even the Power of Return couldn’t fix, then I would take responsibility and strive to find a cure for him.

"It seems my child has indeed found a rare ’good friend’," she laughed, "As for your question, I don’t feel obligated to answer. You just need to obediently die, so—"

She raised her right hand, her fingers pointing at .

"Die," she said.

Then, the utterance transford into reality.
