The divine seal is a Divine Artifact that can fulfill any wish, so I didn’t particularly doubt whether the Master of Divine Seal could fulfill the wishes of others, given he held the complete divine seal.

The question was whether he could restore the fractured divine seal to its whole state.

Although I couldn’t understand the current state of the divine seal, "both intact and yet shattered," if we assud that in such a bizarre state, the divine seal couldn’t normally operate its functions, then the Master of Divine Seal’s top priority probably was to collect the Divine Seal Fragnts to make it function properly. And perhaps, this was the very reason he went to great lengths to gather us.

No.4 Xuanming said that the divine seal was an unknown creation that couldn’t be repaired by human efforts. Setting aside whether the Master of Divine Seal was human, since he claid to be the master of the divine seal, and might even possess the complete divine seal, he might have his own thods.

The task he proposed seed to have no downside for us. We didn’t have a way to repair the divine seal; we just needed to collect the fragnts to get a chance to fulfill our wishes. We didn’t even need to gather all the fragnts by ourselves, just to be the one who collected the most.

From another perspective, he was also proposing a competition—in this competition for fragnts, only one person could have their wish fulfilled.

And all this was predicated on whether his words could be trusted.

"Any wish can be fulfilled?"

The person who asked this wasn’t , nor was it No.4 Xuanming, but No.1.

He had previously been silently observing the Master of Divine Seal with caution, but upon hearing that the other party could fulfill wishes, he couldn’t wait to speak.

Perhaps he had a wish that he very much desired to be fulfilled.

The Master of Divine Seal, however, gave a negative reply.

"Of course, not any wish can be fulfilled," he said. "For instance, if you wished for to create a rock that I couldn’t lift, and at the sa ti asked to lift it, that is, of course, sothing I couldn’t do. In addition, wishes like ’turn one wish opportunity into ten’ are not accepted."

"I’m certainly not asking about nonsensical things!" No.1 seed sowhat agitated. "I’m asking you... if I asked you to resurrect the dead, could you do it?"

This question did take aback. After all, Ying Lingyun’s wish was nothing other than resurrecting the Great Demon Silver Moon. I had just excluded the possibility that he was Ying Lingyun, and now here he was, imdiately displaying behavior that could once again make one suspect he was Ying Lingyun.

But the desire to bring the dead back to life was, after all, quite a normal wish. To have experienced the tragedy of a significant person dying, and to hope that person could be brought back to life—there were undoubtedly many people with such desires. I decided to trust No. 2 Xiao Wan’s lie detection judgnt; No.1 wasn’t Ying Lingyun.

The Master of Divine Seal then casually replied to No.1, "With ease."

"Any of the dead?" No.1 pressed.

"Even if you wanted to resurrect every person who has died in human history, I could, and that naturally includes specific individuals." The Master of Divine Seal made such an absurdly preposterous statent, then he looked at No.1. "Or are you saying the individual you wish to resurrect isn’t human?"

"No, the individual you wish to resurrect is a human... I see, she died to save you, while you believe that it should have been you who died. That’s why you seek the resurrection of the dead, or even thods to change the past.

"—It’s only ’changing the past’ after all, such a level of desire is still within my range of acceptance."

Seeing the Master of Divine Seal’s behavior as if he understood everything, No.1 was greatly startled, "You—"

"No need to be surprised, I’ve said, most of the things that happen in this world, I am aware of," said the Master of Divine Seal.

I imdiately noticed a contradiction.

"If you wish to collect the Divine Seal Fragnts and possess such expansive Divine Skills, why not collect them yourself?" I asked.

"Because I currently cannot leave this Void Realm, I cannot affect the world you live in," the Master of Divine Seal said quite frankly, "I’m in a state that could be described as both death and sleep. The most I can do right now is to pull you select individuals, bound to the Divine Seal Fragnts, into the Void Realm."

He referred to the Mist Dream Realm as the "Void Realm", and it was unclear if this was a distinct concept from "dream", rely a synonym for the dream concept, or sothing specifically related to this mist-shrouded dream realm.

"If we don’t gather Divine Seal Fragnts for you, you won’t be able to resurrect, or awaken, will you?" No.4 Xuanming asked with evident malice.

"If there are no Divine Seal Fragnts, my awakening process will be greatly delayed, it would take up to ten years at the slowest," the Master of Divine Seal said.

Ten years? The number caught my attention. Was it a coincidence? According to the end-of-world prophecy on Luo Mountain, our world would enter the Doomsday Era within a similar ten-year tifra.

But this ten-year period seed to be linked to the increased frequency of strange incidents that heralded the end of days, akin to so natural progression. In contrast, the resurrection process of the Master of Divine Seal apparently allowed for much human intervention.

Despite that, I couldn’t simply shrug off the coincidence. Was there a connection between the resurrection process of the Master of Divine Seal and the progression of Doomsday?

No.4 Xuanming evidently had noticed this issue as well, his tone turning dangerous, "You said before that any wish could be granted, right? If I beco the last victor and wish for world destruction, would you obliterate the world?"

"As long as that is the victor’s wish," the Master of Divine Seal said.

"Since the conditions for becoming the victor are intimately related to the number of Divine Seal Fragnts we obtain, doesn’t that encourage us to kill each other?" No.5 hesitated before speaking, "Soone of Xuanming’s caliber could simply find us in the real world, take the Divine Seal Fragnts we’ve gathered, and easily beco the victor. Even if our fragnts are bound to us, all he needs to do is kill us.

"He could even go to an extre, killing all of us, leaving only himself. Wouldn’t he then beco the victor without much effort?"

He seed to have tentatively accepted the competition rules provided by the Master of Divine Seal, or perhaps the circumstances forced him to.

"If the number of chosen ones in the Void Realm is too few, I will summon new chosen ones from the real world," the Master of Divine Seal said, "Furthermore, the condition for becoming the victor is not the sheer number of Divine Seal Fragnts collected but the magnitude of contribution toward collecting them. Certainly, the more Divine Seal Fragnts you gather, the higher your contribution, which is the most efficient way to contribute.

"But if in order to obtain more Divine Seal Fragnts you kill other chosen ones, then that goes against the very term ’contribution’. If a chosen one who has collected two Divine Seal Fragnts is killed by their own, the murderer would need to gather four more fragnts to offset that."

"In our midst, there is a Doomsday survivor like No.2, who found a Divine Seal Fragnt in the Doomsday Era. Can I understand it to an that when the divine seal shattered, the fragnts not only scattered to different locations but also to different ti periods?" No.1 revealed a greater investnt in the competition for the fragnts, "You can’t seriously expect a powerless young girl like No.2 to gather Divine Seal Fragnts for you in the Doomsday Era, can you? Or are you suggesting that you have a way to send us to the Doomsday Era?"

"Before I awaken, I cannot offer substantial help in this regard. You must find your own way to the dire lands where she resides," the Master of Divine Seal said, "Of course, you could also choose to exchange the Divine Seal Fragnts with for the corresponding answers, but they cannot be the ones that are presently bound to you."

No.6 asked coldly, "Is this what you said before, that to get the answers we must follow the rules?"

"Indeed. I am aware of most things in this world, and I also know the answers that you desperately seek. If any of you think you cannot have the opportunity to fulfill your wishes, you can at least exchange knowledge necessary to fulfill those wishes with ," the Master of Divine Seal said.

Upon hearing this, it seed even No.6 was intrigued, and both No.1 and No.5 also showed a trace of emotion.

I deliberately observed No.7’s reaction; as expected, she remained indifferent. Whether it was the competition for fragnts proposed by the Master of Divine Seal earlier, or now the suggestion that even if one couldn’t erge victorious in the competition, one could still trade for the knowledge to fulfill a wish, she showed sheer apathy. It was almost as if she had known all this from the very beginning. Or perhaps it was that having no desires made her impervious, as the words of the Master of Divine Seal couldn’t shake her desireless heart.

"I will grant you the ability to sense Divine Seal Fragnts. When you are near other fragnts, the fragnt bound to you will vibrate subtly; however, this phenonon will not occur among the fragnts held by you, the chosen ones," the Master of Divine Seal said, "Additionally, this Void Realm can serve as a platform for you all to exchange information. Within the Void Realm, you cannot attack each other, and any forced attacks will be as ineffective as when No.6 attacked just now."

He casually used the nurical identifiers to refer to us.

Suddenly, No.1 asked, "What about entities outside the Void Realm?"

"It’s just and you here; no other entities," the Master of Divine Seal said.

"That’s not right. Before No.3 and No.4 arrived, there was an instance of invasion here—an unidentified ghost had invaded your so-called Void Realm," No.1 said.

I imdiately felt a sense of foreboding, and the Master of Divine Seal directly responded, "That ghost was No.3."

No.1 was taken aback and turned sharply to look at . The others also cast their gaze in my direction with various emotions, and even the ever-stoic No.7 looked over.

The Master of Divine Seal continued, "Unlike all of you, No.3 was not a chosen one invited by . He forcefully invaded this Void Realm through so thod."
