Chapter 86: Chapter 76: Taking [him/her/it/them] to the Villa Area_1

“Hiss~”

On the broad road, a car just happened to roll over a thumbtack. The thumbtack not only punctured the tire but also flew out from the impact.

“Hiss…”

The car had not gone far when air began to leak from the tire. The driver had no choice but to slam on the brakes. He exited the car and surveyed the situation, then turned to report: “Monkey Brother, the tire has been punctured.”

“What the hell kind of driving is that if you’ve managed to puncture a tire?”

Two n erged from the back seat, one of whom was much shorter and started cursing. The driver, head low, did not dare to reply.

“Forget it, let’s go back. Even if we find another car we wouldn’t make it in ti. Our luck really sucks.”

The shorter man cursed, but did not resort to physical violence. After uttering a few more insults, he glanced at the disappearing vehicle ahead and made a decision: “Let’s head back and report to Big Brother. Hopefully, his guys won’t ss up tomorrow. We really have bad luck.”

The two idle henchn exchanged glances, then hurried after him.

“Hum…”

The truck moved along at a moderate pace with the car in tow, slowly reaching the outskirts of a riverside villa complex.

Asking the passengers to wait outside for a while, Li Ming, with miraculous agility, climbed to the top of a nearby residential building. He took out a pair of binoculars from his backpack and scanned the area.

A gaze at the empty streets revealed no living creatures, let alone any moving cars. After a thorough check, he smiled contentedly, put down his binoculars, and climbed back down from the rooftop.

“Thump~”

Landing on the ground, Li Ming opened the barrier to the villa complex, allowing the car to enter. After putting the barrier back down, he led the group to Villa No. 3 where he parked the car.

“Everyone, get off. There are five sets of work clothes inside. Each one of you will take one. The won will cook so thick porridge first, and the n can start removing all the grass inside the villa premises once they’ve changed.”

Li Ming directed the group to dismount, seemingly oblivious to their shock at his acrobatic agility. He led them into the villa where he had prepared everything they would need and began assigning tasks.

Considering their long hunger and weakened state, he decided to let the n clear the grass in the yard first.

Fortunately, the yard had not been cented with the purpose of growing flowers, making it easier to plow. Otherwise, things would have been more complicated.

The five won were instructed by Li Ming to wash the pots, cook porridge, and prepare food. When the n were tired, they could drink so porridge, rest, and then continue working. It was still morning, so it could serve as their breakfast.

Li Ming had left so rice inside the villa, enough for them to make a al.

“Chen Qiang, I’m assigning you the task to supervise the work. Report to if anyone is not feeling well.”

Li Ming called over the man who had voluntarily provided his vehicle, effectively making him responsible for the little group.

“Sure, Big Brother!”

The chubby-faced man Chen Qiang responded cheerfully. Seeing everybody’s compliance, Li Ming handed each of them so rudintary tools. He then glanced at the bustling won and after so thought, called over Xu Xiu.

Xu Xiu was taken aback when Li Ming singled her out, her hands tightening in anxious anticipation. Under the watchful gazes of the other won, she slowly walked towards him, head bowed.

“I have so tasks to complete first, so the present target for you all is to weed out the grass and clear a patch of clean land. I’ll check on the progress when I get back.”

Li Ming left them with these instructions. Under the scrutinizing glances of the n, he led a blushing Xu Xiu towards the rear of the truck.

“Get in.”

Li Ming opened the passenger door and turned to the silent woman following him.

Xu Xiu bit her lip and quietly got in. Li Ming offered her a hand, which made her stiffen for a mont, but she soon relaxed and settled into the passenger seat.

“Bang~”

After closing the passenger door, Li Ming returned to the driver’s seat and restarted the car. Leaving the villa No. 3 area under the watchful eyes of the group, he took a turn around the corner. The moving truck was suddenly out of sight, hidden behind Villa No. 6.

“Stop standing around and get to work. Make sure to finish weeding before Big Brother returns.”

As soon as Li Ming’s truck disappeared from sight, Chen Qiang, the chubby-faced man, stopped smiling. Turning around, he put on a stern face and shouted out his instruction.

“Listen up, guys. I’m not trying to be a jerk here, but Big Brother put in charge. I’m going to take responsibility for that. We’re all hungry, so let’s work hard and make sure no one slacks off.”

The other four n listened in silence. Once Chen Qiang finished, they picked up their hoes or sickles and began to clear the internal flora of the villa.

The food they had consud before departing had given them a bit of strength. After resting on the journey, they were fit enough to do the job of weeding.

Chen Qiang gave a satisfied nod at the docile conduct of the group, then made a joke with the three average-looking won inside the villa. He squinted his eyes contentedly and started working with his hoe.

Having been a foreman in the past, he knew how to manage subordinates. Feeling that he had effectively assud control of the situation, he was now thinking about how to win over Big Brother later. His eyes landed on another man in the group, but he remained silent and continued working.

However, each ti he thought about Li Ming’s agile physique, a strange look flashed in his eyes.

“Hum…”

The truck traveled more than two hundred ters and stopped in front of Villa No. 6. Li Ming turned his head to look at Xu Xiu, who remained silent in the passenger seat. A smile appeared on his face as he got off the truck.

“Click…”

Walking to the passenger’s side, he pulled the car door open. Xu Xiu bit her lip, tense as she stepped out of the van.

Li Ming, seeing her stand by his side after getting off the truck, closed the door and gestured for her to follow him towards the back of the truck.

Xu Xiu followed his gesture, but he didn’t even walk into the nearby villa, which stirred a terrifying thought in her mind. Her hands clasped tightly together, causing the initially pale skin to lose even more color.

Only after Li Ming had walked a few steps ahead did she manage to catch up and stand behind the truck but took so deep breaths and awaited his instructions in silence.

“You might find it a bit tough, there’s a lot to carry and only the two of us along with an elderly woman. But you’ll have to bear with it. As compensation, you can have your lunch here.”
