The terrifying waves, often a kiloter high and ten kiloters wide, surged with monstrous beasts hidden within, their energy unimaginable.
Such seas, I fear, could not be traversed in a lifeti by mortals, likely claiming their lives before they even reached the deep sea.
Even the shallow coastal areas often harbored many dangers lurking within.
Therefore, the offshore sanctuaries, ability users, and martial artists were especially important.
The offshore sanctuaries pacified the inner sea regions, ensuring no catastrophic demons or monsters would enter and harm ordinary people.
If there were creatures they couldn’t contend with, they would notify everyone early to avoid them.
The resources guarded by these offshore sanctuaries were also imnse. With risk ca strength, and the goods they distributed were precious items sought after by martial artists, ability users, and cultivators, who often depended on them.
In this way, those monsters and demons filtered by the inner sea regions beca targets for these extraordinary beings.
The resources they then passed on, like previous treasures, albeit not imbued with spirituality—sea cucumbers, sea urchins, or other sea creatures that were greatly nourishing and reinforced one’s body—beca valuable goods for ordinary people.
Through such layers of barriers, a stable and vital habitat was sustained.
But Qinglong and Li Ming were clearly not ordinary people.
The ten-thousand-ter-high waves were as fragile as paper, and the ferocious beasts of the seabed as insignificant as ants.
A man and a dragon, themselves the greatest terror in this world, road above the sea surface, causing all life with reason and instinct to flee in panic.
Those without reason and who approached were pulverized into dust before they could even co within a hundred miles of their bodies.
The two thus traveled with ease, crossing the inner sea region and even encountering the disciples of the offshore sanctuaries, who respectfully paid homage.
Soon after, they swiftly exited the outer sea and broke into the depths of the deep sea in one fell swoop.
Upon reaching the deep sea, a realm almost forbidden to ordinary humans, the waves and dangers intensified, but to Qinglong and Li Ming, they remained as gentle as a breeze.
Only when they reached the heart of the sea, did Li Ming casually subdue so mighty exotic beasts that lived there and contained them in the Guardian Elent Cauldron for future cultivation of underlings.
Following Qinglong’s lead, they arrived at the true center of the ocean, atop a massive island.
"Here, there actually is an island."
Li Ming looked surprised at the island ahead. The surrounding sea was boundless, its depth and breadth unknown, nearly everywhere filled with water. The fish swimming here were tens of ters long, their bodies filled with trendous strength.
Yet, in such surroundings, an island still existed.
"Where Xuanwu resides, it must bear the weight of heaven and earth. This place is the eye of the sea. I was born at the awakening of heaven and earth and have been ceaselessly harnessing the power of life and creation, until finally, an island arose here to cover the peril of the sea’s eye."
As Li Ming’s puzzled words fell, to his astonishnt, a creature that was a combination of turtle and snake flew out from the giant island. At first glance, one could understand that this was the legendary Xuanwu.
Its lower body was a turtle, exuding an aura as solid as a mountain, with a snake-like body and tail above, its presence sharp as a spear that splits the sky.
Solid and sharp, attack and defense, Yin and Yang, life and death...contradictory yet harmonious realms appeared along with Xuanwu, who floated before Li Ming and Qinglong, its voice resonating like the profound sea.
"After the great tree left, the vast hole it left behind was perfect for Xuanwu to descend with Water Energy, filling the massive pit to compensate for the land and myriad spirits damaged by the great tree’s growth. And with Xuanwu guarding the North, the Five Elents were thus complete."
Qinglong looked at Xuanwu with a smile in its eyes, greeting it, and then spoke seriously to Li Ming.
To think it was a divine beast born at the beginning of an apocalypse...
A flicker of surprise passed through Li Ming’s eyes, then contemplatively he looked at Qinglong, suspecting that this dragon was the sa. Otherwise, why didn’t it have the pure state of the Fire Phoenix and the Qilin but instead seed so spirited?
However, it was no wonder that it appeared much more powerful than the Fire Phoenix and the Qilin. Given the longevity of its existence, such gaps were expected.
However, as he watched the two divine beasts, his eyes couldn’t help but sparkle with laughter.
It seed that the opponent’s intelligence was indeed useful, for at least they knew what the trend of the world would be in the future, knew what choices to make, and most importantly, knew whom to follow.
Of these, the last was the most crucial.
And for Li Ming... why would he reject the divine beasts that ca knocking at his door?
His vast base city was waiting for divine beasts to protect it!
"Xuanwu, welco to join my team,"
Li Ming imdiately wore a radiant smile, and without a second word, he took out the fifth heavenly realm core and placed it in front of Xuanwu.
"Hahaha, from now on, Xuanwu will guard the north for my master,"
Xuanwu laughed heartily as the Xuan snake on its back swallowed the heavenly realm core in one gulp. In the next mont, its form rged with the fifth heavenly realm, instantaneously unleashing its Xuanming divine power to transform the fifth realm, making it as mysterious as Li Ming’s first realm.
In an instant, with Xuanwu’s integration, the power of its inherent Xuanming Water Spirit infused into Li Ming, bringing a completely unique understanding of water to his mind. Under the influence of this power, his Water Energy of the Five Elents rapidly leveled up.
Li Ming sat in ditation, quietly cultivating. In just thirty days, his body shook, and a powerful aura erged naturally.
Water Energy reached the pinnacle of its eighth evolution.
Simultaneously, as the Five Elents engendered each other, tal Energy also autonomously reached the eighth evolutionary tier.
His body and soul, under the mighty nourishnt of the Five Elents, attained the late phase of the seventh evolution!
With his previous foundation, and once again absorbing Xuanwu’s power, Li Ming felt much more at ease in an instant.
All the Five Elents abilities reached the level of the eighth evolution, and the creative power of his divine abilities was almost ready to burst forth, but Li Ming firmly suppressed it.
Within the Five Elents, although tal Energy had attained the level of the eighth evolution, it lacked the heritage from not having the sacred power of a divine beast as the foundation for understanding, unlike the other four Elents. If it were to give birth to divine abilities now, it would certainly be powerful.
But if he could gather a bit of that foundation, it would be even stronger.
Divine beast of tal Energy — White Tiger!
Li Ming’s eyes shone with divine light as he sprang from the ground and, after taking Qinglong into the heavenly realm without needing it to lead the way, he used Ti-Space Steps to rush full speed to the place where the giant tree had been uprooted.
Upon arrival, indeed, he found that the soil of the place was filled with a dead and heavy aura. Li Ming called out Xuanwu, which imdiately displayed its divine powers, and a massive amount of spiritual water fell from the sky, filling the entire huge hollow in monts.
Under such an imnse amount of spiritual water, the soil and surrounding plant life received substantial nourishnt, quickly becoming vibrant and full of life, and the environnt beca dynamic and lively as a result.
"This place does need so attention,"
Li Ming took note of this and then nodded satisfactorily at Xuanwu, which had withdrawn its divine power, took it back into the heavenly realm, and once again used Ti-Space Steps to arrive at the coastal base city in the north.
After arriving above the base city, Li Ming looked down at the vast city below and with a thought, Xuanwu’s form appeared instantly. Li Ming imdiately rged the city’s fortune and Xuanwu’s destiny into one.
"Ao~"
Xuanwu let out a joyous roar to the sky, successfully integrating into the local fortune with Li Ming’s help, becoming the protective divine beast of the place.
In its roar, the sweet dew of spiritual water descended during the day, covering not only the original base city but also the waterfront base city, all receiving the nourishnt of the spiritual rain.
In that mont, everyone’s spirits beca clearer, the injured rapidly recovered from their wounds, those without injuries had their cultivation bases nourished, feeling relaxed and delighted, truly refreshing.
"Is that, the legendary Xuanwu!"
