Coastal Base City.
As the formidable psychic power belonging to Li Ming transmitted, the robed figure seated in the great hall awakened abruptly from ditation.
"Lord Li Ming is going back first?"
Kong Ming furrowed his eyebrows, feeling an involuntary sense of urgency welling up inside him.
It had always been Li Ming who devised strategies for the major dealings with Mao Country, while minor matters were decided by Kong Ming along with Buyan and Li Ding. Major decisions invariably required Li Ming’s approval, and they would act according to his wishes.
Now that Li Ming was suddenly leaving, Kong Ming felt at a loss.
The sowhat uneasy Kong Ming was wholly unaware... being a super psychic who had undergone five evolutions.
He was actually experiencing unease!
Such an inconceivable occurrence ought to have been the first thing detected, yet Kong Ming showed no reaction.
As Li Ming’s psychic strength grew increasingly formidable, the power of his psychic ability "Heart Capture" also beca profoundly unfathomable.
Psychics like Kong Ming who had spent a long ti with him had unwittingly beco his vassals.
Even if they beca stronger in the future, it would be impossible for them to escape this cage, because this change was not rely due to the influence of Li Ming’s power.
Even if there was soone capable of purifying all rejecting forces, constantly cleansing Kong Ming to the utmost, he would still remain the sa.
For, under the power of "Heart Capture," his very nature had been changed.
It was as if he had been born this way; the only change possible was... death!
But once dead, how could any change be made?
In his rush, Kong Ming naturally didn’t think about these things. He instinctively touched the jade token gifted by Li Ming, gripping it in his palm for a mont of reassurance, then imdiately went to look for Buyan and Li Ding.
He believed that they must have received the news as well.
"The plan against Mao Country must not stop."
A plan quietly took shape in Kong Ming’s heart; as he mused over it, he sped up his flight to reach the sides of Buyan and Li Ding.
"You’re here too."
Buyan and Li Ding, one wielding the power of divine abilities and the other the power of magnetic fields, had already flown to the stone platform next to the bamboo grove and were waiting. As Kong Ming landed, the two had just seated themselves but stood up with a smile to greet him when they saw him coming.
"Sit down, no need for greetings. I’m a bit uneasy with Lord Li Ming suddenly leaving," Kong Ming said as he appeared, patting his brothers’ shoulders with so emotion. "I didn’t realize it while Lord Li Ming was here, but now that he’s gone, I’ve found that all my confidence was like a mountainous Lord Li Ming supporting from behind."
"Hey, aren’t we all?"
Buyan waved his hand, his expression full of sentint. "Originally, facing a Mao Country survivor organization with only one five-tis-evolved psychic, I was quite confident. But the mont Lord Li Ming left, I suddenly lost my certainty."
"Lord Li Ming was like the sun; with his departure, my heart suddenly can’t see the path ahead."
Li Ding spoke softly, then leaned forward slightly: "Now, what should we do, how can we win over this power?"
"Sigh, with Lord Li Ming gone, the three of us have to bear the burden. And with the transition of power between two factions, we can’t afford to be without a guiding core; otherwise, a single oversight could an total loss," Buyan said with a shake of his head and a sigh, then turned his gaze toward Kong Ming. "Brother Kong Ming, among the three of us, you’re the one with the most ideas; give us so direction, will you?"
"Well, that’s a roundabout way of saying I’m crafty," Kong Ming said as he playfully punched Buyan, who laughed and dodged, spurring a round of friendly banter that finally brought seriousness to the scene.
"I think the most straightforward thod is often the most effective," Kong Ming said, propping his elbow on the stone table and reflecting deeply. "Brothers, we are now five-tis-evolved psychics, towering above, positioned at the top of ninety-nine percent of psychics. This can easily lead to a flawed perspective on things."
"Like, in our eyes, this apocalypse doesn’t seem like a big deal. Isn’t it just about playing, cultivating, enjoying life? Surrounded by beauties every day, seeking pleasure, comfortably getting by."
"But after all, this is the apocalypse. Recall the ti when we first awakened our psychic abilities, how full of dread we were."
"Even now, with the support of various base cities, I think the daily lives of the commoners at the bottom and the lesser-powered extraordinaries are probably not that easy."
"Throughout history, what thods have been effective in winning hearts? Carrot in one hand, stick in the other, right?" Kong Ming said with a smile, looking at Buyan and Li Ding, his words gently persuasive.
Buyan and Li Ding looked at each other, then at Kong Ming: "So, you an, to offer them benefits and then threaten them?"
"The benefits should be offered, but there’s no need for threats," Kong Ming replied with a smile, pointing to the north. "Mao Country is now covered in ice and snow. Do you think they have any food to grow?"
"Probably not," Li Ding agreed with a nod.
"Since that is the case, why not clearly state our intention, to let them co and live with us?" Kong Ming blinked. "Here we have food to grow, there’s no shortage of anything to eat, be it staple foods or fruits and vegetables. Even for the ordinary person, we can guarantee they’re well-fed and warmly dressed."
"Moreover, the safety of the base city is assured and can provide worry-free food, clothing, shelter, and transportation for everyone."
