"Thud, thud, thud~"

The pace of the mutant water buffalo is not much slower than a small car’s speed. The wind it stirs as it moves would likely make an ordinary person struggle to keep a straight face, but Li Ming is perfectly calm, feeling nothing more than a breeze brushing his face.

Man and buffalo, rushing swiftly towards Eagle Mountain City.

......

Eagle Mountain City, Central Plains Quality Technology College.

Since Li Ming had visited once and then left, the people who survived have beco much more sober and restrained.

Unlike Li Dingguo who visited here last ti, Li Ming had clearly left a ssage that he would return to take them away, and they had been waiting for this day ever since.

Fortunately, Li Ming had estimated that even if he returned, it would take so ti, so he left plenty of food behind. However, nearly a month had passed in a blink, and there wasn’t much food left.

Fortunately, that day finally arrives. Along with the urgent, heavy hoofbeats, under the watchful eyes of several n standing guard outside, the man arrives riding on a buffalo.

"Moo~"

A buffalo’s roar scares the people in front, almost making them run away. Fortunately, they recognize Li Ming and calm down, imdiately sending soone back to notify the people inside.

"Snort~"

The mutant water buffalo slows its pace, exhaling hot air from its nose, finally coming to a slow stop. Li Ming looks at his watch and sees it’s not even ten in the morning yet, which ans the mutant water buffalo took two and a half hours to get here from the county town base.

"Good job, have a couple of leaves and take a good rest, wait for here."

Li Ming is pleased with this speed. He pats the head of the mutant water buffalo with a smile, ntally complinting it. He then glances at the people inside the building who are watching him fearfully, and dismounts.

"Moo~"

The mutant water buffalo bellows, listening to Li Ming’s words, and imdiately goes off to graze on the leaves. Li Ming strides towards the n in front. When they see him coming, the two others hurriedly co out.

"Master Li!"

"Master Li!"

Two loud shouts, the faces of the n brimming with smiles but also full of trepidation. Li Ming pauses for a mont, accepting the title of ’Master’ applied to him.

After all, considering his current level of martial arts, being addressed as ’Master’ is not too far-fetched.

"Let’s go to the school first, are you all ready to leave?"

Li Ming waves his hand, carrying his gun-sword, and walks towards the school. As he walks, he asks.

"We’ve been ready, we’ve even prepared cars, we’ve just been waiting for you!"

"As soon as we saw you, soone went back to notify the others. By now, everyone should be ready."

The two n’s gaze still can’t help but frequently glance at the massive mutant water buffalo, but they don’t dare to show too much. They stick close, promptly answering whenever Li Ming asks sothing.

"Notify them again, prepare everyone to make a trip to the library."

Li Ming looks at the school’s library and says calmly.

The two n beside Li Ming were dumbstruck. They looked at each other in mutual bewildernt. One of them rushed to deliver the news, while the other walked with him to the cafeteria.

By the ti Li Ming arrived, everyone remaining in the cafeteria had clearly received the news. They looked at each other with surprise.

"Now, in the wake of the apocalypse, books are our only source of knowledge. Most books in our school library focus on engineering. It is thus evident how crucial the books are. Let’s find more trucks to transport all the usable books from the library,"

Li Ming looked at them after uttering these simple words. After they had ti to process the information, he continued, "First, pack your belongings and put them in the truck. Then let’s gather to move the books."

The people in the cafeteria were stunned, but quickly followed his instructions and sprang into action.

So of them wanted to ask questions but couldn’t bring themselves to break the silence in response to Li Ming’s calm gaze. Thus, they started working.

Observing their actions, Li Ming nodded in satisfaction. The people at the school were reasonably educated, and most of them understood his reasoning or intentions quite fast.

So, he didn’t need to explain in detail. However, he noticed the hesitation on so faces and reflected on it for a mont before leaving the cafeteria with them.

Exiting the cafeteria, they found themselves in a car park lining with a variety of cars, which were quickly allotted based on the driver’s competence.

Perhaps influenced by Li Ming’s words, a few groups augnted their numbers and prepared additional vehicles to transport the books.

"In Guxi, there is a sanctuary surrounded by eight-ter-high defensive walls. There are several thousand survivors like , possessing unique abilities. Our destination will be Guxi, Yanyang. After placing all belongings in the car, we will load all the books from the library. We will operate in groups, each responsible for a floor, and transport the books imdiately after they are packed!"

Li Ming shouted towards the people in the square, electrifying the crowd with his voice.

With a clear objective, a sense of security grew in their hearts. Their fears of being sent on a suicide mission were significantly appeased. The crowd quickly responded in agreent, followed by hastening their loading and assembling in front of Li Ming.

Assigning evenly among the males and females, Li Ming divided them into six groups. He instructed them to organize books according to categories during transportation, and then they headed towards the library together.

Scanning over the entire library, Li Ming saw no sign of zombies. Likely, they had been previously disposed of. Assuring the groups, he escorted each team to their assigned floor.

The library had five levels, with each floor containing both reading desks and bookshelves. The ground floor was a storage room that contained books not yet put on display.

Li Ming allocated six groups. The one responsible for moving books from the storage room consisted of only n, while the others included both n and won, tasked to collaborate harmoniously.

Three trucks stood outside the library, awaiting their book loads. It wasn’t a ticulous task, although it required considerable effort, the speed of completion was fast. Within no ti, the trucks were brimming with valuable books.

After a thorough check, Li Ming confird that the transported books were indeed vital resources. After filling up the trucks and so smaller cars, he allowed the visibly tired crowd to rest and have their lunch on-site.

Unable to take all the books, Li Ming was not in a hurry. A significant amount of ti was already spent loading the books. After lunch, it was already one in the afternoon.

He gave everyone a half-hour nap to regain their energy and prevent any accidents during travel. After the break, he woke everyone up, got them on the vehicles, and started to lead the return trip on his mutated water buffalo.

"Moo~"

On the road, Li Ming, clad in animal skin armor, led the convoy. The journey was smooth, and all the books were brought back without any hiccups.

They reached the sanctuary in Guxi by five-thirty in the afternoon.

The arrival of a group of university students and lecturers to the Guxi sanctuary was undoubtedly good news. Besides, the addition of dozens of people was a boon. Li Ming instructed his team to arrange accommodations and carefully store the collection in the local county library, assigning dedicated protectors.

Once these tasks were completed, it was dinner ti. The locals returned from their daily chores with curious glances at the newcors. Seeing the crowd, Li Ming took the opportunity to make several announcents:

"Listen everyone, our newly-arrived friends will first rest and adapt to this place for two days. Afterward, they will join on multiple excursions to gather books from universities and public libraries in nearby cities. We’ll copy vital information."

"Our next major task will be exploring the city for resources. chanical tools, steel materials, living necessities, and dical equipnt are our targets. Starting from today, everyone will learn to practice the physical strengthening thod of Tai Chi with every morning."
