"Aren’t you planning on taking them downstairs to hide?"

Li Ming nodded and then looked at Qian Ling and Zhou Qian. Upon making eye contact with Qian Ling, he couldn’t help but smile. He then composed himself and asked them a question.

"We’ll go, but we figured since everyone else is already inside, it wouldn’t hurt for us to go in too. We just wanted to spend a little more ti outside, breathing in fresh air. Now that you’re here, Mr. Li, could you please accompany in? With everyone gone, the deserted villa feels a bit scary."

Qian Ling took the conversation into her own hands, smiled at Li Ming, and spoke. Her voice had a seductive quality to it that one might find tempting.

"Oh? Accompany you?"

Li Ming raised an eyebrow. He was just about to reply when Wang Hongyuan beat him to it, "I’m having a little trouble with my stomach and need to use the bathroom."

Wang Hongyuan said and then rushed into the villa. Seeing this, Qian Ling turned and looked helplessly at Li Ming, "My husband isn’t feeling well, so I have to bother Mr. Li."

"Well... given Mr. Wang’s condition, I guess I’ll be the one to accompany Mrs. Qian."

Li Ming shrugged and spoke reluctantly. He then approached Qian Ling, who leaned into him. He paused for a mont before turning to Zhao Sunwu: "Aren’t you going to take your wife underground first, Zhao?"

"I was just about to."

Zhao Sunwu smiled, then lifted Zhou Qian from the ground and walked towards the underground parking garage. It was about a ter below ground.

"Mrs. Qian, after you."

Li Ming offered a smile and extended his hand towards Qian Ling, who nodded obediently. It seed the emptiness of the surroundings frightened her as she stayed close to Li Ming, making their way towards the underground parking lot.

No one knew what happened next; when Zhao Sunwu returned to the location and t with Wang Hongyuan after his toilet break, Li Ming was nowhere in sight. They waited another ten minutes, Wang Hongyuan showing signs of irritation.

Eventually, Li Ming erged. Wang Hongyuan brightened up imdiately at the sight of him.

"Mrs. Qian sprained her ankle on the way. I helped her into the car and massaged it for a while, which caused a delay."

Li Ming looked at Wang Hongyuan and apologized: "I didn’t take good care of her."

"Don’t worry about it, we’re just grateful you’re here to accompany her."

Wang Hongyuan had a hearty laugh then rushed to say: "We don’t know when the main group will arrive. Why don’t we wait on Guangchang Street?"

"I was thinking the sa."

Li Ming smilingly nodded and then glanced at Zhao Sunwu. Zhao Sunwu shrugged his shoulders: "I don’t mind, if you both want to go, then let’s go."

"Alright, let’s head to Guangchang Street."

Wang Hongyuan took the lead, guiding the two of them away from their current location.

"Whoosh..."

Zhao Sunwu ascended directly from the ground, his large fra without a helt gave off a Superman vibe.

Watching Zhao Sunwu take to the air using his abilities, Li Ming chuckled and then followed Wang Hongyuan out of the villa. They each got into their vehicles and drove towards Guangchang Street.

"Hehehee...."

The route to Guangchang Street was in the opposite direction of where Li Ming had co from. Even the main road was slowly filling up with zombies. However, they posed no threat in the face of the cars’ formidable horsepower. The zombies were easily crushed under the tires.

When they reached the entrance to Guangchang Street, the number of zombies increased significantly, forcing Li Ming to exit his vehicle. He held his long spear, hiding his full strength, and only using a portion of his skills to clear the horde ahead.

"Pshh, pshh..."

Driving his lever into their skulls, Li Ming quickly took care of a portion of the zombies after parking. He glanced to the side and saw Wang Hongyuan utilizing his sturdy plant whip, killing the creatures.

Moving his eyes left and right, he slowly retreated, using his lever to keep the zombies on his path at bay.

In no ti, the zombies were cleared. He leaped onto a building’s roof using the alleyway entrance, quickly ascending. After reaching the top, he looked back to see Wang Hongyuan wrapped in plant tendrils, lifting him onto the roof.

"That is the bridge across the river. If the main group does co, they’ll be coming through there. When that happens, the whole city will be frantic. Not only will there be running mutants, but flying ones as well. We’ll have to be careful."

Dressed in a full suit of armor, Zhao Sunwu, donning his helt and holding his sword, landed on the roof. He pointed out a location.

Zhao Sunwu had taken off the blazer covering his armor, and complete with his helt and broadsword gave off the air of an ancient general. However, this protective gear greatly increased his safety when he was airborne.

"We’re safer staying together than hiding separately in this situation."

Wang Hongyuan gave a small laugh and spoke in a low voice. Zhao Sunwu glanced at him, smiling, "I hope so."

The atmosphere around them was sowhat strange; Zhao Sunwu’s earlier absorption of the crystal and his decision not to return clearly showed that he was being cautious around Wang. After saying just one sentence, Zhao Sunwu even flew ten ters away.

Li Ming, ignoring the two’s strange mood, found a place to stand. He nodded towards Wang Hongyuan and silently waited alongside them, gazes fixed on the river bridge.

"Heh, heh...."

Zombies roared around them, but they had beco much quieter without the earlier stimulation of crystal formation. On the contrary, as ti went by, Li Ming and the others beca more nervous.

As they waited in silence, noon soon ca. Li Ming took off his backpack and from it, pulled out a lunchbox. Inside was the rice he prepared that morning. He didn’t mind that it was cold and began eating right away.

Wang Hongyuan and Zhao Sunwu also each pulled out their prepared lunch and started eating while standing around the area. In no ti at all, they finished eating, casually discarded their trash, and resud waiting.

In the blink of an eye, it was twelve o’clock.

"Zhao Sunwu, don’t tell you’re playing us. It’s already noon, and we haven’t heard anything yet," Wang Hongyuan couldn’t help but shout at Zhao Sunwu, unable to contain his anxious waiting.

"I told you all, it won’t be until one in the afternoon. Since we gathered ahead of ti, we wait," Zhao Sunwu shrugged nonchalantly. Wang Hongyuan frowned and was about to retort when suddenly he turned sharply towards the river bridge.

"Boom...."

A dull sound ca from a distance. Li Ming imdiately put on his backpack and rose to his feet, gripping his crowbar and looking ahead.

"That’s a calibration shell, the large gathering is arriving quite early," Zhao Sunwu was montarily stunned before abruptly taking to the air, staring ahead intently.

Li Ming’s heart also began to race haphazardly, he peered forwards intensely. At the sa ti, his psychic power was keenly tracking the slightest movents of the two n beside him at all tis.

Zhao Sunwu gripped his weapon sternly, while vines bustled on Wang Hongyuan’s body, revealing his internal agitation.

That single artillery shot had drawn out all of their anticipation. Li Ming, feeling a flutter in his heart, also looked forward expectantly.

Large gathering, given that cannon fire, it certainly wasn’t going to be simple....

"Boom, boom, boom...."

Suddenly, a succession of cannon fire resounded from the bridge, accompanied by uninterrupted bouts of explosions, astonishing the onlookers.

The large gathering, the waves of the city’s outsiders, have really co!

"Roar, roar, roar...."

"Boom...."

The thunderous roll of artillery fire and continuous explosions echoed back from the front. For a mont, it seed like the only sound left in the world.

"Screech...."

At one instant, the piercing shriek of the spider zombies spread throughout all corners, followed by even more intense bombardnt. Li Ming could even see, from far off, the trail of the artillery shells streaking across the sky, like shooting stars in the dayti.

Rocket artillery cluster!

"Boom...."

Continuous, dense strikes sounded like a heavy rain shower. Li Ming couldn’t help but marvel – such a weapon existed!

As he marveled, the noise from the surrounding zombies, like the flipping of a switch, suddenly surged frenziedly.

"Heh, heh, heh!!"

The ceaseless roars were intermingled with uncommon shouts. All the zombies in the city were stirred up!
