"Quick, get back in the car imdiately. As soon as we arrive at the villa area, get ready for battle imdiately!"
On the street, Li Ming swiftly descended from the rooftop and jumped into the frontmost off-road vehicle, shouting loudly.
His voice echoed throughout the convoy, all vehicles started up simultaneously and sped back to the villa area, with Li Ming’s car still leading the way.
Before long, a street which was originally cleared, was once again filled with scattered zombies, causing Li Ming’s face to beco grim: "While there are not many zombies, rush through!"
"Vroom..."
The engine roared at that instant, the throttle increased, all vehicles did not slow down but rather accelerated, speeding along the road.
"Hehe..."
"Bang, bang, bang..."
A group of zombies rushed directly towards the car only to be thrown aside by the prepared off-road vehicles with horns and steel bars, landing in the empty spaces on both sides of the road like garbage.
If a car intends to hit soone, it is straightforward. Under the powerful force of the car, Li Ming inside the car barely feels anything and rushed through the street.
The vehicle tyres swiveled harshly. Behind them, the slower trucks gradually picked up speed, and the convoy quickly disappeared down the street.
Linjiang villa area.
At the command of Chen Li, people who were previously weeding or digging quickly gathered inside Villa Right Three.
Seven n who were constructing the watchtower were organized by Chen Li. Holding the slightly less competent crossbows and steel pipes newly made by the carpenter, they stood their ground outside the villa’s main entrance.
"Roar!"
"Hehe..."
The terrifying roars and howls of the zombies surrounding them made them uneasy, even the strong sun could not dispel their fear.
"Don’t be scared. Brother Ming has led so n to kill the surrounding area. Don’t worry about a thing. If there are any zombies, they should just be a few madn who escaped. We have fences, and crossbows, even long steel pipes. Every madman that cos will die!"
Zheng Gou stood in the middle of the team, seeing five staggering figures approaching, he bellowed at the frightened team mbers beside him:
"If anyone pisses their pants out of fear, let the won in the room know about it. They can help with peeing issues. Otherwise, if soone as big as you can’t even pee properly, it will be embarrassing to wet your pants."
"Who the hell does Zheng Gou look down on? We may be scared, but we don’t intend to tremble. Just a few madn are coming, if we don’t kill them, who will?"
Zheng Gou’s coarse words dispelled the atmosphere of fear in the team. Several n sneered back, imdiately dissipating the fear in their hearts.
"This crossbow can exert great force within fifty ters. Aim well, and shoot the first wave when they’re within thirty ters. At least two more shots can be fired before they rush over."
Chen Qiang stood in the middle of the group, giving commands. As soon as he finished talking, the grumbling died down, and several people holding crossbows imdiately aid them. Before long, five staggering but crazed zombies approached, and five crossbows were fired simultaneously.
"Swoosh....."
All five crossbow bolts hit the zombies, but only one managed to hit an eye, killing the zombie instantly.
"Hehe....."
The other four zombies continued to approach, hissing. The five crossbows were quickly loaded again, and then fired.
"Swoosh, swoosh....."
Another zombie fell to the ground. They fired another round, and eventually only one zombie survived. Zheng Gou yelled and rushed forward with a diagonally cut steel pipe to stab it, but the zombie dodged it suddenly.
"Schick, bang....."
Suddenly, a steel pipe passed through the zombie’s head from the side and it fell to the ground. Zheng Gou turned his head to see who did it and quickly called: "Sister-in-law!"
"Hmm, co back quickly. Everyone is ready; there might be a second wave of zombies."
Chen Li smiled and retracted the steel pipe in her hand and quickly returned to the ranks. Her agility was like that of a well-trained female warrior, not a full-ti mom.
Zheng Gou got stunned by Chen Li’s nimble skills and quickly followed her back.
"Old Zheng, don’t rush, we could have killed it with one more arrow at this close range, but you rushed up and blocked everyone’s aim..."
Chen Qiang patted Zheng Gou’s shoulder, and the latter nodded, taking a deep breath to suppress the pressing atmosphere of fear in his heart. Suddenly, they heard a loud roar coming from the front.
Everyone’s attention was imdiately drawn to the sound, and Chen Li also looked worried. A off-road vehicle lead four trucks drove in. She imdiately smiled and sighed in relief.
"Brother Ming, there seem to be zombies coming from the front."
As Zhou Cheng drove the SUV into the villa area, he noticed several twisted corpses of zombies lying on the road, as well as arrows shot to the ground, and quickly shouted to Li Ming in the back seat.
"Drive the truck in, unload all the goods, then park the heavy-duty truck across the entrance of the villa,"
Li Ming, looking at the zombies on the road and hearing their ongoing roars, instructed Zhou Cheng.
Zhou Cheng quickly nodded in agreent, and his copilot imdiately leaned out the truck window to signal the people to open the gate. The people behind the fence hurriedly did so, which allowed the convoy to drive in smoothly.
"Everybody, quickly unload this stuff. The four of you move the truck outside the villa to block the entrance, and don’t co back without Brother Ming’s order. Get ready with crossbows and tal pipes to fight zombies!"
As soon as Zhou Cheng got out of the truck, he started directing his team mbers. Li Ming hugged Chen Li, who ca over, asking her to rest. After understanding the situation, he contacted Liu Li and asked her to bring all the won to the villa where he lived.
The more people, the safer.
He returned to the villa and comforted the won one by one. Seeing that everyone was there, Liu Minying took the opportunity to conduct a health check to ease everyone’s tension. The team that squeezed into the villa quickly lined up willingly. Through the direction of Liu Li and Chen Li, order was restored.
Li Ming watched this happening with a smile, gave so instructions to Yang Ruo, and put on so simple body armor, knee pads, wrist guards, and a helt with her solemn nod of agreent. He then left the villa under the watchful eyes of six female servants.
Outside, Zhou Cheng and his team had unloaded everything they had gathered and were directing the vehicles to park across the entrance of the villa.
Twenty-seven n stood at the entrance of the villa, each holding weapons, prepared for the arrival of zombies. Li Ming glanced at the scene, noticed the n on the lookout tower had descended, frowned and asked them to go back up.
"The watchtower is crucial, you need to keep an eye on the surrounding area at all tis, especially during the day. No one knows what bigger dangers are waiting for us. Do you understand?"
Li Ming spoke sternly to the n on the tower, who nodded hurriedly before returning to their posts.
Li Ming then looked towards the security booth where the nightwatch spent their shifts. He frowned seeing the strain of the situation on the watchn’s faces. Even equipped with night vision, two-average humans might still not be effective.
"Zhou Cheng, from now on, use tripwires on all the entrances at night. Connect these tripwires to an alarm that you should keep in your room along with a night vision device for a quick response,"
As Li Ming thought this arrangent was unsatisfactory, he imdiately instructed Zhou Cheng. Zhou Cheng nodded hurriedly to show he understood and Li Ming nodded back at him.
"Heh heh heh..."
"Roar..."
The sounds of growling and roaring were continuous from all sides. It seed like all the zombies in the city had gone crazy. Li Ming felt the presence of the crystal in the city which strongly attracted his senses (both ntally and physically) and he unconsciously clenched the crowbar in his hand.
His telekinetic senses scanned around, and there was no imdiate danger. The zombies around here had mostly been cleared during his previous outings. The last five of them were the only ones that had been overlooked.
But the strong allure he felt and the continuous attraction around made Li Ming feel sowhat uneasy.
He had an inexplicable feeling that if he obtained that crystal, it would be of great help to him.
After so thought, Li Ming climbed up the watchtower. The growls and roars from all around beca even clearer. As he took the binoculars from the n on duty, he lifted them to look deep into the city.
Through the binoculars, the scene of three terrifying creatures fighting for supremacy was clearly visible. Their size was so enormous that even from several kiloters away, with the sun shining brightly, Li Ming could see the chaos with naked eyes.
"Roar!"
"Roar!"
"Boom..."
The growling, roaring, shrieking, and the billowing dust reminded him of a science fiction movie, and every new scene made his pulse race.
The giant crystal, over two ters tall, remained undetermined as it was disputed by the beasts. Li Ming’s gaze was locked on the crystal, and his grip on the binoculars tightened.
"What the heck is this crystal? Is it a natural one like the last ti, that could potentially attract the city’s zombies and even these three beasts into a fierce fight?"
Li Ming frowned in deep thought. What troubled him more was that, this thing caught the interest of those with unique abilities too. He’d just spoken to Zhang Yuan and Chen Li, and they told him they felt a similar compelling force acting on them.
This showed that not only zombies were affected by it...
His heart was sowhat heavy as this series of accidents were happening right before their departure. There was the gathering place where humans inhabited, then the monster, and now it was this crystal...
If he rembered correctly, the last ti they encountered a natural crystal, a strong zombie had evolved by absorbing the crystal.
What level of evolution would be reached by absorbing this crystal, that could cause such a dispute between the three monsters?
Looking at the three monsters continually struggling for the crystal, Li Ming sighed softly.
Even if just a piece of it could fall off and land in his hands, it would be fine.
"Snap..."
Just as Li Ming thought this, he saw the strong Titan zombie accidentally punch the crystal. Instantly, a waterlon-sized piece of crystal was forced out from the main crystal by the strength of the punch and propelled into the air, falling several streets away.
Li Ming: "......"
