Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World Chapter 72: Recruiting the Village Beastmen
With the chaotic situation, the village beastn needed ti to accept the current reality for a while. They all worked for a while to burn the remaining fallen beast corpses.
After they were done, everyone was utterly exhausted, staring at the sky in a daze. The sun had set, casting an orange hue. Now... What should they do?
They tried to search for decent land to live, but most of those lands were inhabited by fierce beasts. Even they, beastn, had to fight against fierce beasts for a place to live.
Their future was unclear.
"Village Head." Ma Yongcheng coughed.
The middle aged beastman snapped out of his thoughts and looked at him questioningly. He found himself being dragged by Ma Yongcheng. After they found a secluded place, Ma Yongcheng began his plan.
"How about you ask Master Xie to bring all of our fellow villagers to the base too?" Ma Yongcheng proposed, his eyes sparkled. He already thought about how to persuade Xie Ziyuan.
Most of his hunting team was still alive. They could help the base to hunt too. He also knew that most people who had followed Village Head Peng were of decent character.
Village Head Peng’s eyes finally had so light in ti. However, he still hesitated slightly, "Will he accept us?"
"We won’t know if we don’t try, Village Head." Ma Yongcheng patted his shoulder. "If Master Xie agrees, a lot of people’s lives... can change. For the better."
Village Head Peng nodded. He knew Ma Yongcheng hadn’t ntioned the existence of the base to others because he was unsure whether Xie Ziyuan would accept them. He didn’t want to give them a false hope.
After they decided, both of them went to find Xie Ziyuan. However, they didn’t find him anywhere. Finally, their gazes settled on Lin Yu’an, who had a helpless expression upon eting Du Yufei and Leng Ting at the sa ti.
These two had hit it off directly with their chatty nature, finding a lot of topics to talk about. Sohow, they had dragged Lin Yu’an in as well.
"Yu’an, have you seen Master Xie?" Ma Yongcheng asked.
As if he had seen a savior, Lin Yu’an sprang to his feet and walked over to Ma Yongcheng and Village Head. His face had a look of relief.
He didn’t want to change into his little black cat form and be rubbed by Leng Ting again!
"Uhh," Lin Yu’an scratched the back of his head, unsure how to explain. "Master Xie is gone taking care of sothing for a while, but he will be back soon."
Seeing his hand gesture, Ma Yongcheng was a little confused. What was this little cat trying to say to him? Sothing he couldn’t say openly...?
Then, it dawned on him.
Master Xie’s space, he thought.
Although he had never explicitly told them to keep it a secret, they were quick-witted enough to know it wasn’t sothing they should easily talk about to others.
Xie Ziyuan’s teleportation power and the fact he could enter his space wasn’t sothing weak beastn like them would easily encounter in their life.
He might have an unusual background.
Most beastn with space ability only have one function: storing things. They also couldn’t even enter their space.
"Are you looking for ?" Xie Ziyuan asked.
Village Head Peng was startled. When does he appear? He hadn’t even sensed his presence yet. However, he knew he shouldn’t pry into soone else’s ability too much.
He quickly adopted a kind smile and greeted him. "Master Xie."
This silver wolf beastman always had a look of indifference on his face, as if nothing could move him, however, he would still lend his hands at crucial monts. Therefore, he was thankful to him.
Seeing him nod and waiting for him to speak, Village Head Peng was a little embarrassed. Is his expression too obvious?
However, he still said it. "Master Xie, I heard from Yongcheng that you are currently taking care of a base. Can I and my people enter the base? Don’t worry, all of them are beastn who aren’t afraid of hardship. They also have various useful abilities."
At this mont, Ma Yongcheng also chid in. "Master Xie, our village also has a decent hunting team. We can hunt fierce beasts for the base too... once we get strong enough."
He scratched his head when he said the last sentence. He just rembered they weren’t strong enough to hunt gas in the dangerous zone.
Lin Yu’an blinked when he heard that, looking at Xie Ziyuan with so anticipation.
After a few minutes of silence, Xie Ziyuan finally decided. "You can join the base."
Ma Yongcheng blinked and nodded. Is Master Xie communicating with Miss Owner first? He had said that the true owner of the base wasn’t him, after all.
Village Head widened his eyes, and even soone as old as him couldn’t help having his eyes watered at Xie Ziyuan’s agreent.
He had been racking his brain, trying to find a decent place to live for the dozens of beastn under him. There was no lack of other beastn who also wanted to explore other places like him, going alone. Whether they survived was unknown.
When he wanted to go, he hadn’t expected so many people willingly offered themselves to accompany him.
However, he knew that there were monts of regrets. Every ti soone died, it twisted his heart. He felt like an incompetent leader.
Now, upon finding a place where they could stay peacefully without fear of fierce beast attack or pollution invading their bodies, how could he not be relieved?
"Village Head," Ma Yongcheng also called out emotionally.
Village Head Peng bowed at Xie Ziyuan gratefully. "Thank you, Master Xie. It ans deeply for us."
"Yongcheng, let’s tell others." Village Head Peng wiped his eyes and smiled. The two beastn excused themselves and left the place. Lin Yu’an also left, a little happy for them.
Xie Ziyuan stared ahead in a daze. He usually lived alone and rarely interact with people. The look that Village Head Peng showed to him... he just gave them a place to stay and they still needed to take care of things themselves.
He also could have more people taking care of the base. Is there a need to be so grateful to the point of crying?
The ancient snake who usually hid himself depth in the mountain pondered. Beastn’s emotions are indeed complicated, but it also didn’t feel bad.
At this ti, he suddenly received a ssage from Su Yining in the mailbox post.
