Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World Chapter 32: Similar Fate
"Are you trying to kill yourself?" Han Zhicong saw her gulping down her third cup of coffee and couldn’t help but comnted.
She rolled her eyes. "I know what I am doing. Save those words for yourself."
He exhaled, running his hands through his hair with so frustration. Thinking about how he just told her about his family’s situation, his face burned.
However, he was a little thankful she didn’t mock his family because of it. Even if she still stayed ruthless when it ca to being sarcastic with him...
Anyway, how would he convince her otherwise? This woman was soone who could only be convinced with logic. She would want to get to the bottom of things before she agreed.
"Just a piece of advice, Han Zhicong. It’s best to let go of people who have changed." Su Yining shook her head as she stood up, grasping the cup of coffee in her hand. She took another sip with relish.
"What do you know–" he abruptly stopped and whipped his head in her direction. He saw her lips curled up mockingly again, causing him to fall silent.
"While it’s true that you once had good mories with them, they are no longer their past selves. You are rely holding on to their shadow..." she let out a sigh before excusing herself.
While it was true that she disliked this man for tattling on Chen Kaixuan about her or his harassnt, she did feel a bit of pity. Their situation was similar yet very different. At least that man still had his family with him.
Her current situation, who was utterly alone in this world, was more similar to her Yuanyuan instead. As such, it didn’t matter whether he was just a ga character, she couldn’t help but sympathize with him.
Actually, it was not only him. Other NPCs in the ga had a similar fate as her, right?
If she built her apocalyptic base, they would have a place to stay and no longer be alone again...
She didn’t go directly ho. Only an hour had passed, and the probability that Chen Kaixuan was still loitering around her house was still high.
As such, she walked toward the streets where people sold street food. There were many pastries, dumplings, scallion pancakes and many more. She bought so pancakes and sat down on street furniture.
Her pancakes were still warm. She instinctively took out her phone again, rembering it was almost ti for the rice to be ready for harvest.
However, in the corner of her eye, she noticed a familiar figure and stiffened, a little flustered. She pushed the phone back into her pocket and stood up to leave.
"Ningning!" The man’s voice, both gentle and cold, echoed.
She didn’t turn back, mingling with the crowd, a little lost. The man couldn’t catch up with her.
Han Zhicong’s words rang in her ears.
"I will take care of the consequence, Su Yining. As long as you give it to . You already know I am not a good person. If I do so more wicked deeds, it does not matter," he had said.
For the sake of peace, she had sohow beco an accomplice.
Han Zhicong had a younger sister who needed money for surgery, and as such, he was desperate. His mother recently broke her right hand, and she was unable to earn money.
As for his father... he was a total scumbag. He was an alcoholic, a total player with a lot of mistresses. When Han Zhicong wasn’t ho, his father had taken his savings ant for his sister’s surgery.
His mother tried to stop her husband. Alas, in the process, she had gotten hurt instead. His husband shoved her away roughly, and as such, her arm hit a piece of furniture.
She spent the whole afternoon outside, walking around the bustling city. Even if once she went back ho, the loneliness would feel more palpable.
"Miss, don’t go there."
Subconsciously, she had wandered too far.
She blinked at the young man in front of him, confusion etched on her face. There was a bus stop not far from where they were currently standing. "Why?"
"There is a crazy man who usually loiter at that place around this ti. It’s better if you go to another bus stop. A bit far from here but much safer," he explained.
Su Yining wasn’t sure whether he was talking the truth. The bus stop indeed seed to be deserted; there was no one around. She thought it was because she had arrived at the less crowded area.
"Alright. Thank you for your reminder." She smiled at him and walked away.
The man didn’t leave. She could sense him was still watching her as if making sure she would really leave. The feeling was just too peculiar.
She had just taken a few steps away when she heard soone screaming. Her head whipped behind her. Her pupils dilated in shock.
The man didn’t lie!
"Old man, go away! Don’t disturb people here!" The young man’s harsh voice echoed. "Go back wherever you co from."
The old man scread, pouncing toward him. His appearance was really dirty, with unkempt hair and clothes that were sared with so dirt. It was unknown how long he hadn’t taken any bath.
The mont his eyes t hers, she jolted and didn’t hesitate anymore. She took large strides. Except for the young man, she noticed that the street had beco more quiet the mont the crazy old man appeared.
His eyes flashed in her mind. What kind of disease could make one have such eyes? It strangely reminded her of zombies...
The color was a little different compared to the zombie she saw the first ti she loaded the ga. The similarity was the white color which covered his irises. Other than that spot, they were sowhat yellow.
Su Yining didn’t know how she arrived ho. She only rembered she had boarded a bus ho. The sky had beco a little darker with so hint of orange hue.
"So, here you are, Su Yining." A sneering sound echoed from sowhere.
She dropped her key in surprise. Imdiately, she picked it up again.
Chen Kaixuan’s figure erged in her line of sight. He approached her, jumping through the fence of her ho.
