Myles stood motionless, his cold eyes fixed on the armored man lying lifeless at his feet. The once gleaming armor was now stained with dark crimson, the result of Myles’ ruthless actions. His pale, emotionless face was splattered with the man’s blood, a stark contrast against his dark, disheveled hair.
With a slow movent, Myles wiped the blood from his dagger on the sleeve of his black coat, the fabric absorbing the crimson stain as if it were a part of him. The blade glead in the fading light of a broken city lamp above him.
The man had tried to play the role of a hero. His armor, now dented and sared with gore, had once shone brightly. But all that was aningless now.
He had tried to stop him, fighting with the ferocity of a lion and wielding his sword with incredible skill as if he had been practicing for years. But against Myles, he was nothing more than another obstacle, another life to extinguish in the growing shadow of his power.
His final monts had been a pitiful struggle, his strength waning as Myles stabbed him a dozen or more tis. The hero’s eyes, which once burned with defiance, now stared blankly at the sky, the light of life extinguished.
A whisper of wings filled the air, and a shadow fell over him. He didn’t turn as the beautiful woman landed softly behind him, her black wings folding gracefully against her back.
"Are you finished with him? That was faster than I expected," the woman said, her voice alluring and almost raspy. Anyone who heard it would be tempted and fall into her dark charm. But Myles was different.
He had been tempted by her once—it felt like a long ti ago, though it had only been a few weeks—but now the dangerous allure of the woman no longer affected him as much. At least, not as strongly as it used to.
"He gave a bit of trouble. But it was nothing serious," Myles said in a cold tone. "We can move on now. Where are the others?"
"The others are also done," she said, her voice steady but with an underlying tension. She hesitated for a mont then looking back to Myles. "What is... your next plan?"
There was a faint tremor in her voice that only soone as perceptive as Myles could detect. Despite her outward composure, a seed of fear had taken root in her heart. She had seen what Myles was capable of, had witnessed the depths of his ruthlessness, and now she feared what he might say and what he might demand next.
Myles didn’t respond imdiately. Instead, he began to walk toward her with unhurried steps. When he reached her, he lifted a hand and stroked her cheek slowly. A small smile curled at the corners of his lips.
But to the woman, that smile was anything but reassuring. It was cold and utterly devoid of warmth. A shiver ran down her spine, though she hid it well, maintaining her poised deanor.
"We will continue to conquer," Myles said softly, his voice carrying ominous resolve. His smile widened, but it only deepened the chilling effect it had on her. "There’s no turning back now. You know that, right?"
The woman nodded, forcing herself to remain calm. She had sworn loyalty to him, and she would follow him, even if it ant walking into the abyss. And he is right. Its too late to even consider about turning back right now.
The city before them was a wasteland like a twisted mockery of what it once had been. Skyscrapers that had once touched the sky now lay in ruins and jutting out like broken teeth against the darkened sky. Fires burned in the distance casting light over the desolate streets below.
Monsters road freely, grotesque and nightmarish creatures that had once been Myles’ enemies. Now, they were his soldiers, bound to his will by the power he wielded. They moved through the city like a plague hunting down those who dared to defy him or those who simply tried to flee. Screams echoed through the air, the desperate cries of people being cut down or torn apart, consud by terror and death.
Myles watched it all with cold satisfaction, his eyes scanning the ruined landscape. His gaze settled on a towering skyscraper that still stood. Without a word he vanished, teleporting to the top of the skyscraper in the blink of an eye.
From his new vantage point now he could see everything more clearly. The destruction, chaos, and monsters doing his bidding—all of it was laid out before him like a twisted masterpiece. A wicked smile spread across his face, showing the darkness that now ruled his heart.
As he stood there reveling in the sight, the air around him stirred. Four more won arrived, landing softly behind him.
Behind Myles now there are five won stood.
One of them was the a dark and majestic figure who et Myles earlier. Her long and black hair flowed down her back, framing a face of pale and flawless skin. Her deep crimson eyes glowed reflecting a wisdom born from ages of pain and darkness. Massive black wings, tattered at the edges but still exuding a fearso power, folded gracefully behind her. She wore dark leather armor that clung to her lithe and athletic fra.
Beside her was a woman with fiery red hair blazed wildly and her golden-orange eyes shone like roaring fla. Her skin is warm and tan. She wearing molten tal armor that shifted and flowed like liquid fire across her body. She also has wings that glowing orange-red.
The next woman stood tall and statuesque. Her silver-blonde hair shimred like moonlight. Her piercing icy-blue eyes held a dangerous and sensual gleam. Her wings is a dazzling silver-white, sparkled with an inner light, and she wearing a silver armor.
Then there was a vision of dark and mysterious beauty. Her deep midnight-blue hai glow at the tips, cascaded down her back. Her hypnotic violet eyes have swirling pupils like whirlpools. Her cool, pale blue skin was marked by shimring scales that adorned parts of her arms and legs. She wore armor made of black pearl and coral that only covers the tip of her chest and a little part around her hip.
Finally, there was a woman who stood with an dark glow. Her short black and silver hair shone like the moon and nigth sky. She has soft lavender eyes and porcelain-white skin. Her wings were almost transparent, with a soft silver hue that shimred delicately under the moonlight. She was draped in deep blue and silver robes adorned with lunar symbols and runes.
Myles seed satisfied. He nodded to himself, then he opened his own Status Window which showed his own strength that he had gathered until now.
