A sudden sense of unease coursed through Zerra’s heart. Her concentration to cultivate was broken at once by an earth-shattering roar of a tiger.

Her heart nearly leaped out of her chest when she saw the sight in the hallway. What had happened to the tiger?

Returning to her human form, she hurriedly stood up and threw off the blanket, leaving the remaining crystal cores on the clean blanket scattered on the floor.

She didn’t care. Her focus was on both the tiger and her mom right now. She slamd the door open, and in a flash, she already appeared in front of her mom.

"Don’t hurt my mom!" She spread her arms. Her heart felt heavy. Still, although she was disappointed at the tiger’s sudden action, she still needed to figure out why it had tried to attack.

Cassias was also trying to stop the tiger from attacking. He had managed to clutch onto one of its hind legs, effectively helping it stop in ti as Zerra positioned herself in front of Nerith.

The tiger had a look of bewildernt on its face, letting out confused growls.

"Why did you try to attack my mom? What had she done wrong?" Zerra asked.

As she listened to the tiger’s answer, she furrowed her brows. A deep frown marred her forehead, and she beca increasingly puzzled.

The tiger conveyed its explanation through brain wave communication. It told her that the mont it saw Nerith, it couldn’t control its urge to show its dominance.

It didn’t an to attack Nerith; the tiger only wanted to intimidate her. As for why it suddenly had this kind of feeling, it couldn’t figure it out either.

"Mom, Zee, are you alright?" Laziel jumped to check both of them for any injuries.

Zerra stared at the tiger, which was now lying on the floor. Its ears visibly wilted as if it were guilty. However, she could sense the tiger’s dislike of her mom.

"What happened here?" Alaric walked into the hallway. His face grew wary when he saw the tiger. "This thing had broken inside our house?!"

The tiger growled in dissatisfaction at him. Zerra was a little confused. Once again, she sensed the tiger’s dislike of her dad.

Scratching her head, she muttered, "The tiger seems to dislike Mom and Dad only."

She turned to her mom. "Are you alright, Mom?"

Nerith clutched her daughter’s hand. "Is this the tiger you have been talking about?"

Alaric stood beside them, warily glancing at the tiger, which was now crouching on the floor. After it was done roaring at him, it went back to its original position. Confused and wilted. It didn’t even mind Cassias who was clutching its front claw and pressed its back.

Zerra bit her lip. "Yes..."

Naturally, she had ntioned the tiger to explain how she had easily dealt with the danger in the forest.

"What did it say to you?" Nerith pressed.

"What do you an what did it say to Zee?" Laziel’s eyes widened as if he had heard sothing absurd. "You can talk to animals, Munchkin?"

He spun around, noticing he was the only one shocked. Others avoided his gaze and coughed. They almost forgot there was Laziel here.

"Am I the only one who doesn’t know this?" A heartbroken look crossed his face.

"Now that you know, don’t tell anyone." Alaric sighed. He cleared his throat. "Originally, only the four of us knew about this."

It ant that besides him, there was also Nyra, who was unaware Zerra had such an ability. When Zerra asked Isryn to heal the tiger back then, he thought it was a coincidence she knew what the tiger wanted.

It ca to them while it was injured. Wasn’t that because it was looking for help? Injured animals usually stay away from anything that could threaten them further.

"I don’t want to be experinted on, elder brother." Zerra sent him a pitiful look. "You wouldn’t tell anyone, right?"

"Of course, I wouldn’t." Laziel scrunched his face. "I know what is important and what is not."

"Not even your future girlfriend?" She blinked innocently at him.

When he heard that, it was as if an arrow had struck his chest. His mouth twitched. Now, he kind of understood why she had hidden this information from him.

If it was the forr him, judging from how much he trusted ira before, he might make a slip of tongue in front of her.

"I won’t tell anyone unless you tell to." He made a zipping motion. Slightly stuttering, he added, "N-not even my future girlfriend, or... elder sister."

Nyra was rarely ho, and although their relationship had slowly beco closer, Laziel understood there was still estrangent. It would take them longer for their relationship to be similar to that of him and Zerra’s, where there were only minor misunderstandings.

The tiger let out so growls in dissatisfaction. It realized there had been so misunderstanding between them, so it wanted them to go back to that topic. It had sensed Zerra’s feeling and was slightly anxious.

Zerra nodded at Laziel before turning to the tiger, who was now nervously clawing at the carpet.

She sighed and explained to her mom. "It said that it didn’t know what ca over itself either. The mont it saw you, the tiger only wanted to intimidate you. There was no intention to attack."

Listening to that, the whole family began to conduct a discussion on the spot.

"It’s a mutated beast, right? Maybe it regards Mom as a female tiger?" Laziel voiced his thoughts. He was a little amazed at the discovery that his little sister could talk to animals now.

Of course, he also realized that talking to them wasn’t equal to controlling them.

"It also roared at your dad before," Nerith frowned.

"That’s true." Laziel rubbed his chin. "It wouldn’t mistake Dad for a female tiger too, right?"

Alaric’s temple throbbed, and he smacked his son’s head lightly. Laziel sidestepped, but he was still grinning without an ounce of remorse on his face.

"It might regard Zee as its cub?" Cassias, who had been silent for a while, opened his mouth.

Startled, Zerra instinctively asked the tiger. She was older than the tiger, even if she could turn into a fox. It didn’t quite make sense...

Laziel scoffed. "It will make much more sense if it regards Zee as its mother."

The mont Zerra opened her mouth, everyone turned to her, waiting for the result of her communication with the tiger. After all, it was a unique situation.
