Zhao Ren looked at Ji Ming in confusion. He didn’t rember feeling anything strange at all. Liora, on the other hand, was out of options—she had blacked out before the wave had even hit everyone.

So now, both of them stared at Ji Ming, watching as he sat there still mumbling strange things in his sleep.

Their silent gaze made Ji Ming begin to doubt himself. But no—he was certain he had felt sothing. Why the others hadn’t felt it, he had no idea.

"I think it’s a side effect of that rain... I still feel that searing headache, even though it feels like I’ve been asleep for days..." Liora said slowly. "So it must be... definitely the rain’s side effect."

"Wait—yeah! The rain! And we slept?" both Zhao Ren and Ji Ming exclaid at once, looking at each other with horror.

They hadn’t even realized when they had fallen asleep. And not just any sleep—it had been deep and dreamless. Now they were only just waking up...

What happened to the rain? Did it just stop overnight? Sothing felt wrong. Too wrong. It shouldn’t have stopped so suddenly. It didn’t feel natural at all.

They hurried to check the gates, only to find them still intact. Everyone else also seed unhard and peacefully asleep. So were beginning to show signs of waking.

It looked like nothing bad had happened while they were asleep, but both Zhao Ren and Ji Ming couldn’t shake off the unease. They had never experienced anything like this before.

This wasn’t the first ti they had taken turns guarding others, either. They had already decided to rest when Shen Haoran and Yun Shuo took the last half night watch. If all four of them had fallen asleep, how could no one have woken up?

The whole situation felt strange. very odd and wrong.

Liora noticed the grim expressions on their faces and the shifting tension in their eyes. She looked at them curiously and asked what was wrong.

Zhao Ren didn’t hesitate—he told her everything. Liora was shocked to hear it. She wasn’t the only one who felt sothing had been off during the night. Even though nothing around them looked strange, that unsettling feeling refused to leave.

"If there’s a problem with that sleep..." Liora murmured, sweeping her gaze slowly across the room. She didn’t need to finish her sentence—Zhao Ren and Ji Ming imdiately understood what she ant.

Their faces turned pale.

Without wasting a second, they rushed toward their sleeping friends. So of them were beginning to stir, but others were too still and too quiet.

"They should be fine... They’ve just slept deeply, that’s all," they told themselves. But worry filled their hearts as they began waking everyone up.

Zhao Ren rushed to wake Shen Haoran and Yun Shuo, while Ji Ming quickly moved to the girls.

Liora hurried toward the still-sleeping figures of Chen Wei and Liang Zihan. She shook them gently at first, then more forcefully, calling their nas with growing panic.

Soon, Chen Wei and a few others began to groan and mumble, disturbed by the sudden noise and shaking. But three people—Zhou Yinuo, Yan Lin, and Liang Zihan—remained completely unresponsive.

"They’re not waking up!" Liora exclaid, her voice laced with worry.

"Zhou Yinuo and Yan Lin too," Ji Ming added, equally alard.

Zhao Ren rushed over with a still-groggy Shen Haoran and Yun Shuo in tow. They were confused but followed his lead. Zhao Ren quickly explained their theory, and both boys were stunned. i and Chen Wei overheard as well, their expressions turning serious.

i imdiately rushed to check on the three unconscious ones. Liora stepped aside to let her through. At the sa ti, a thought struck Liora.

She quickly closed her eyes and focused, trying to sense the souls around her. She saw everyone’s souls glowing strong and steady—except for three. These three souls flickered weakly, like tiny flas on the verge of going out.

Her heart clenched.

But then she noticed sothing else.

There were now two new colors among the souls, bright and unfamiliar, they were not there last night. The pure white souls from before were gone, replaced by these new hues. That could only an one thing: they had awakened powers.

Liora’s eyes widened with hope.

One flickering soul was still a soft water-blue but now had flecks of green—almost like a twin soul fused with it. Another glowed a pale silver, and the third pulsed with a rich brown light. She couldn’t tell who was who, but she knew for certain—sothing was changing within them.

Before she could say anything, i looked up with a calm, reassuring expression.

"They’re fine," i said gently. "There’s nothing wrong with them. Their vitals are stable. They’re just asleep. Deep asleep. Once they stabilize, they’ll wake up."

She continued, "In fact... I believe they’re developing powers. Their nerve responses have changed. I can clearly distinguish between an awakened body and a normal human one."

Everyone let out a collective breath of relief. The atmosphere shifted to one of cautious joy. Chen Wei was the happiest, he was holding the hands of both Zhou Yinuo an Liang Zihan tightly.

The rest of the group was still surprised about Yan Lin, because she has already awaken ability, than what this ans. but still they were happy for her if she can beco more stronger.

After that, the group sat down to process everything. The acid rain was finally over, just like that, in one single night, that it made them doubt everything. They started discussing how surprisingly harmless it had been for them.

Bu Ji Ming was still troubled, So he took out his watch to check the ti. But it was enough to darkened his expression.

The watch had a small function that also showed the date beside the clock’s long hand.

13/09.

Last night, before the wave hit, it had been 10/09.

He froze.

That ant... they had actually slept straight for three days.

He imdiately shared this shocking discovery, and the entire group fell into stunned silence.
