Yang Bo and Han Lingxi sat in the car; however, this ti, the driver had been replaced, and both Yang Bo and Han Lingxi sat in the back seat. The car had been modified so that the front and rear spaces were separated, and the driver had no idea whatsoever what was happening in the back.
Yang Bo looked at the ssage he had just received on his communicator and angrily punched the soft leather seat, cursing under his breath, “Damn it!”
Han Lingxi, sitting beside him, looked at him with concern and asked, “What happened?” While speaking, she had already grabbed the communicator from Yang Bo’s hands and started reading. After seeing the content displayed, her delicate eyebrows furrowed tightly, and she exclaid, “How could this happen?”
Yang Bo, frustrated, ruffled his hair and said grimly, “We miscalculated this ti. I had not anticipated those people to be so cunning and resourceful! A good move on our part, but in the end, it rely benefited others! I can’t accept this!”
Han Lingxi then rembered another incident. When they had been at Qiankun Hotel, in order to prevent the White Wolf rcenary Corps from sending out ssages, they had activated a jamr. Consequently, they too were unable to receive ssages. It was only later that they learned that the research institute had been destroyed by a mysterious expert, and even two Level 4 Superpower Users in the facility had been severely injured, one of whom had yet to regain consciousness!
The thought of this sent a chill through Han Lingxi. Beishi Base had always been relatively calm, so how could a mysterious expert suddenly appear and deliberately disrupt their plans? The person who created a ss at the institute was evidently a high-level Space Superpower User, and the person who appeared at Qiankun Hotel also seed to be a high-level Space Superpower User, indicating it was the sa person causing trouble.
Yet, she wondered, how had she not known that a Space Superpower User could be so powerful when at a high level?
Not only she thought of Fang Yuxin, but Yang Bo did as well. At that mont, he utterly despised Fang Yuxin to his core! Saying this, he took out the communicator and started dialing to contact his subordinates to investigate the person’s identity.
Han Lingxi watched as he issued one command after another, remaining silent, but she felt that Yang Bo might not be able to dig up anything useful.
Shortly after Yang Bo gave out the instructions, his subordinates sent over the information he had requested. Han Lingxi sat next to him and leaned against him to look at the screen when she heard the notification sound from the communicator. Displayed on the screen was the registration information of the outsiders who had visited Beishi Base in the last month. There weren’t many people listed, only a total of ten people, mostly from other bases. Initially, these individuals were all Second-level Superpower Users.
Second-level Superpower Users were abundant in Beishi Base, and although they were quite capable, their large numbers made them seem ordinary.
