Laurel stared at the blue screen that hovered in the air.

She let out a sigh, although the space water was like a cheat code, it was scarce and cost a lot. "How much of the space water do we have?"

[30 litres]

Laurel rolled her eyes in disbelief. Just 30 litres? That wouldn’t be enough to water all the crops.

But since it is kind of magical, maybe it requires just a little amount. She thought to herself.

"And how much do we need to harvest the crops in two days?" She asked.

[Usage depends on crop coverage. Use wisely.]

Laurel pressed her lips into a thin line. "What a stingy system."

She turned to Ling Xuan, who was now cleaning her sword while listening to their conversation.

"Sister Ling Xuan, I’ll go outside now. I know you are supposed to take over now, but can you borrow a little of your ti, you can take from mine tomorrow." Laurel clasped her hands together, blinking innocently at her.

"You are going to water the plants now?" Ling Xuan asked, without peering her eyes away from the sword.

"Yes."

"Okay." Ling Xuan replied flatly.

Laurel turned away, walking out of the house. The mont she stepped outside, the space blurred and she was back in the farmland again.

The voices of n echoed faintly outside along with the sound of the boxes being carried inside the warehouse.

She was glad she told Nate not to let anyone know about her whereabouts, and now she doesn’t have to worry about soone walking in on her.

"System," she whispered, "bring out the barrel of water."

A brown barrel appeared beside her instantly with a soft flicker.

She dragged the barrel closer to the irrigation channel she had unlocked earlier.

She heaved for air, her fingers hurt from dragging it over a little distance. She wondered if she was really pampered and soft.

30 liters of water was nowhere near the required amount of water for one hectare of land. What should she do now?

Laurel tightened her fist in frustration. The System’s words re-echoed in her head. "Use wisely."

Laurel arched her brows as a new idea popped into her head. She turned to the running stream, What if she mixed the stream with the space water? Wouldn’t that solve her problem?

....

anwhile, in another part of Luxebridge city.

Chris Lennox sat back in his office chair, one hand resting lazily on the armrest. His posture looked relaxed, but the coldness in his eyes made the room feel tense. He stared ahead with an aloof expression, calm and unreadable like nothing in the world could truly disturb him.

His fingers tapped on the table lazily. His eyes kept moving to his phone, as if he was expecting a call to pop up on the screen.

A knock ca from the other side of the door. "Co in." He muttered lazily.

Dylan entered the room, his expression was almost as aloof as Chris’s, except for the fierceness in his eyes.

"Mr. Lennox, as expected the second card you gave to Mrs. Wayne was also used to purchase food, dicine, and basic needs in bulk," Dylan stated.

His finger tapping on the table stopped. His aloof eyes narrowed slightly. "So she must be telling the truth." He sighed.

"I want a house on a mountain top, and I want it to be well fortified. And make sure there is a big basent, big enough to shelter a lot of people. Start buying food in bulk, clothes, and all basic human needs." Chris said.

"You believe her?" Dylan frowned.

"It is better to believe her now and lose so money, rather than not believe her and lose everything including our lives. And not only that, I feel a little better now compared to before. It ans her dical skills are top-notch, soone as good as her would not waste money, effort, and ti on sothing she is not sure about." Chris replied.

"What about Camile, what has she been up to lately?" Chris asked, his expression turning stoic.

Dylan cleared his throat, pulling the chair opposite Chris out, and he sat down placing the docunt he was holding on the table.

Chris’s brows raised slightly at his behaviour, Dylan and Chris were best friends. However, Dylan prefers to keep things professional at work. So seeing sitting down, Chris knew what he was about to say was serious.

"I have so of my n to follow her. For the past few days, she had been eting with a strange occult group. They go by the na Severance. I also noticed she has been sending a huge amount of money to this particular group, and the money of course cos from the black card you gave her." Dylan paused, his brows creasing more.

"I also noticed that she is also buying food in bulk and saving it in a warehouse under the Severance group’s na. She is doing the sa thing as Mrs. Wayne, and even more than her." Dylan added.

Chris’s expression darkened. "You an not only does she plan to kill , but she is also laundering my money? Block all the cards I have given her." he paused as if in deep thought.

His mind whirled back to Laurel’s words "if possible... sell everything you have".

An unreadable glint flickered through his eyes. "Dylan, buy more of everything. And start looking for share buyers..."

"You are going to sell everything?" Dylan asked, his tone carried a strong sense of disapproval.

"Yes... But we will only start selling after her prediction cos true. By the way, isn’t it strange that the two sisters are buying things in bulk? It’s either they are both crazy or they know sothing the rest of the world doesn’t, and I think it is the latter." Chris said calmly.

Dylan looked like he wanted to argue, however, deep down he knew there was sense in what Chris had said.

"I’ll do as you say. I’ll start by blocking Camile’s card, and keep watch of her movent." Dylan said with a satisfied look, especially when he ntioned blocking Camile’s card.
