Before Chris could investigate further, Gabriel sat next to him.

"You should be thanking for keeping your secret all this ti," Gabriel whispered as he glanced at Alexander.

Chris frowned subtly as he could not rember the secret he was talking about. "What do you an?"

Gabriel gasped dramatically. "So this is what people ant when they said do not bite the finger that fed you."

Chris only looked at him, waiting for him to continue, so he could spill the so-called secret.

"I’m so disappointed in you right now, I thought you were a righteous person. That is why I did my best to keep this secret, because I knew hell would break loose if I said it. Especially soone who has always wanted to take you out of the picture will get the real reason to.

And seeing how frail you are, you have little to no chance of surviving..."

Chris sighed, ntally blocking his ears from the unending ranting.

"I’ll take my leave, if you are ready to tell , you know where to find ." Chris rose to his feet and walked away, leaving the flabbergasted Gabriel behind.

"You really want to do this with ." Gabriel angrily set his food down. "This is so unbelievable." He scoffed.

anwhile, Tina’s gaze kept on wandering to the boy sitting next to his mother. It was not every day she got to see soone around her age on a special adventure.

"Uncle, can I play with the boy over there?" Tina asked, tilting her head to one side as she innocently blinked at Alexander.

Alexander paused, before glancing at the boy who was on his second plate. He felt unease letting Tina play with him, especially with the way he showed little emotion about his dead father.

Alexander turned to Tina. "It’s late, you can play with him tomorrow."

"Let just say hi." She asked again, this ti clenching the edge of her dress, hoping he would say yes.

Alexander swallowed, ever since his cousin and his wife were in a plane crash and died, he had grown a soft spot for Tina. He slowly patted her head. "Just a single hello...I’ll be watching you." He said, his brows knitting together.

"Thank you, uncle." Tina bead as she stood up from her seat and hopped walking to the boy.

Alexander’s gaze trailed over her, his heart clenching in a way that he couldn’t explain, but he was certain that if the boy hurt her in any way, he was going to make him regret it.

Tina wore a bright smile as she stopped in front of the boy. She tilted her head up, imitating the imposing look Laurel had sotis. She folded her hands behind her back.

"Hello," she said with a straight face.

The boy who was busy eating his al as if it was last forcefully peeled his attention from the food and raised his head.

His eyes widened subtly as he stared at Tina. "Hello," he replied.

"What’s your na?" Tina asked as if she were interrogating him.

The boy chuckled. "Jake... Jake Wilson."

She frowned slightly upon seeing him laugh. "Why are you laughing?"

"Because I know you are curious about but you are also putting on a front as if you don’t care. I find it funny that you are double-faced even though you are a kid." Jake said with his lips slightly tugged up.

Tina scoffed. She found it refreshing that he wasn’t dumb. "Since you are aware of that, there is nothing I can say. I just wanted to say hi."

The smirk on Jake’s face flattered. "Aren’t you supposed to cry?"

"Did you say that to make cry?" She leaned closer to him. "Too bad you have to try harder." She said with a faint smirk.

Before Jake could say anything.

"Since I already said hi, I’ll take my leave." She turned around to leave.

"Wait..." Jake said, losing his composure. "What’s your na?"

Tina glanced over her shoulder. "Tina... Tina Wayne." She said with a little smirk before walking away.

"Tina," Jake muttered under his breath, a warm feeling pooling in his chest.

When Tina returned to Alexander. "Uncle you were looking right?"

"Yes," Alexander replied, a little confused at the reason for the question.

"Wasn’t I cool?" She asked with a proud smile. "Just like Aunty Laurel when she is very cold."

Alexander chuckled. "You were cool... now he knows not to ss with you."

But the mont he turned around, he glared at Jake, his eyes throwing daggers toward him as if warning him to stay away from her.

anwhile back in the space house.

Laurel walked out of the purple door, and her gaze imdiately fell on Ling Xuan who was holding a sword.

Before she could connect the dots of what was about to happen, Ling Xuan’s voice echoed through the space.

"Pick up a weapon." Ling Xuan ordered.

Laurel frowned, her chest still burning over the plants that were harvested poorly.

But she knew she was no match for Ling Xuan when it ca to combat. A part of her wanted her to leave the space house and avoid the fight, but another part of her was so angry that she wanted to fight.

’You’ll just die without knowing how.’ She thought inwardly.

"Why?" She asked.

"You believe you can glare at and go free? If you want to respect you, earn it." Ling Xuan tossed a sword towards her.

Instinctively, Laurel caught it. Staring at the sword in her hand, she gulped nervously.

"This is unfair Ling Xuan, you have only taught stamina so far. You haven’t taught how to use a sword." She said bitterly, but she lifted the sword in case Ling Xuan beca crazy and attacked her.

"Then... take it as teaching you. I’ll use only ten percent of my strength. If you can win... then I’ll give you more respect."

"Isn’t that like telling you to treat a patient when I know you know nothing about dicine? If we fight, can we also test our dicinal knowledge?" She asked, her fingers tightening around the sword.

Ling Xuan turned around. "Win, then we can talk about your rules." She said as she leaped into the air, charging at her.
