Both of them stepped out of the armoured vehicle.

The mont their feet touched the ground, nearby monsters noticed them.

Dozens of pairs of bloodshot eyes imdiately locked onto the two living humans.

Growl!

Roar!

The monsters charged.

Darren didn’t even give them a chance to get close.

In one smooth motion, he pulled out his twin pistols.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Gunfire erupted across the highway.

Bullets pierced skulls with frightening precision.

One zombie after another collapsed onto the pavent.

Heads exploded.

Dark blood splattered across abandoned vehicles.

Bodies fell like dominoes.

Within monts, Darren had already cleared a path.

anwhile, Ivy calmly walked toward the supply trucks.

Without wasting any ti, she snapped her fingers.

Whoosh!

A massive delivery truck instantly disappeared.

Then another.

And another.

One after another, the trucks vanished into her storage space.

Darren’s eyes widened despite having witnessed her ability countless tis before.

No matter how many tis he saw it, the sight remained unbelievable.

Entire trucks were disappearing as though they had never existed.

Within minutes, more than forty delivery trucks had vanished.

The amount of food and resources contained inside them was enough to sustain a small settlent for months.

Nearby stood several refrigerated trucks.

Ivy walked over and briefly inspected them.

The mont she opened one of the doors, a foul sll rushed out.

She imdiately frowned.

"The electricity has been gone for too long."

The frozen food inside had long since spoiled.

Rotten at filled the containers.

Maggots squird within the decayed remains.

Without hesitation, Ivy closed the door.

"There is no point wasting storage space on garbage."

She abandoned all three refrigerated trucks.

Darren nodded while continuing to shoot approaching monsters.

"Understood."

As Ivy continued collecting supplies, sothing suddenly caught her attention.

Her gaze shifted farther down the highway.

Three enormous fuel tankers stood in the distance.

The mont she saw them, her eyes lit up.

Fuel.

Liquid gold in the apocalypse.

Without fuel, vehicles couldn’t move.

Generators couldn’t operate.

Machinery beca useless.

The value of those three tankers exceeded dozens of ordinary supply trucks combined.

"We’re taking those too," Ivy said decisively.

Darren followed her gaze and imdiately understood.

His expression brightened.

"But the road is blocked."

Ivy pointed toward the mountain of wrecked vehicles obstructing the path.

"You can clear it."

Darren cracked his knuckles.

A confident grin spread across his face.

"Leave it to ."

With his enhanced strength, he strode forward.

Grabbing the first abandoned car, he shoved it aside.

tal screeched loudly.

The vehicle slid several ters away.

Then another.

And another.

Cars that once weighed over a ton were being pushed around like oversized toys.

anwhile, Ivy headed toward the toll station.

The area was occupied by dozens of low-level monsters.

Most had once been toll workers or stranded travelers.

The mont they sensed living flesh, they beca agitated.

Growl!

Several rushed toward her.

Ivy calmly drew both pistols.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Every shot struck true.

Heads exploded one after another.

The air quickly filled with the sll of blood and decay.

Within minutes, the toll station fell silent.

Monster corpses littered the ground.

Ivy casually returned her pistols to the concealed pockets inside her jacket.

Then she crouched beside one of the bodies.

Sothing glittered within the shattered skull.

A small crystal core.

Ivy picked it up and examined it carefully.

"A level-one crystal core?"

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"I thought only higher-level monsters possessed crystal cores. Perhaps this one was stronger than the others."

Without dwelling on it further, she tossed the crystal into her pocket.

Then her gaze shifted toward the nearby toll booth.

A mischievous smile slowly appeared on her face.

Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a worn one-dollar note.

She walked over and casually dropped it into the toll basket.

Clink.

For a mont, silence followed.

Then Ivy burst into laughter.

The absurdity of paying a toll after eliminating every monster in the station was strangely amusing.

In the distance, Darren happened to witness the entire scene.

The corner of his mouth twitched.

"What a bizarre sense of aesthetics," he muttered before chuckling softly.

Soon afterward, Ivy climbed onto the highway overpass.

The heavy chains and locks blocking access stood before her.

With her enhanced strength, she smashed through them.

Clang!

tal fragnts scattered everywhere.

Standing atop the overpass, she finally gained a complete view of the highway.

Even she couldn’t hide her satisfaction.

There were trucks everywhere.

Delivery trucks.

Supply trucks.

Container trucks.

Comrcial transport vehicles.

And, most importantly, the three precious fuel tankers.

One after another, the vehicles disappeared into her storage space with a simple snap of her fingers.

The total number quickly exceeded fifty.

By the ti she finished, more than four hundred cubic ters of storage space had been filled.

The harvest was incredible.

Darren finally cleared the road and returned.

When he saw the empty sections of highway where dozens of trucks had previously stood, he froze.

"..."

A chill ran down his scalp.

Every single ti he thought he had fully understood Ivy’s capabilities, she sohow managed to exceed his expectations.

Ivy jumped down from the overpass and landed smoothly on the pavent.

Then she turned her gaze toward the distant fuel tankers.

A satisfied smile appeared on her face.

"Let’s bring those back to the base," she said.
