He looked down at Su Shu, but she interrupted him.
“I’m fine.”
Tang Zelin was confused. If it wasn’t about her, why did she co to ask about the dog?
Seeing that many soldiers were peeking at them, Su Shu pulled Tang Zelin aside.
“Co over here.”
“Okay, take it slow, don’t hurt yourself.”
With her carefree deanor, he was genuinely worried she might hurt herself.
Behind them, the sound of soldiers’ snickers could be heard.
Su Shu didn’t care about the awkwardness anymore.

He didn’t ntion that they would see if the dog could be well-trained for military use.
Su Shu frowned and whispered, “It’s a Fox.”
Tang Zelin initially didn’t understand, a Fox, as in the na?

“I an, it’s a Fox, the one from my space, rember?”

Su Shu patted his arm, “Hey, be nice to it, okay? Find a chance to let it go; it’ll co back on its own. I’m going to join Uncle Fu and the others now.”
After Su Shu left, it took Tang Zelin a long while to process everything.
He turned his head and saw the Wolfhound in the soldier’s grip.
Man and dog locked eyes.
Tang Zelin looked skeptically for a long ti, mouthing to the animal: Fox?
The Wolfhound’s eyes brightened, and it nodded happily.
Tang Zelin only felt his forehead turn dark.
To himself, he thought, how is this even possible?!

The curious Fox, having just transford into a Wolfhound to assist its master, had just finished helping when it was caught by the protagonist’s soldiers and bound up to be taken back to the camp.

“What’s up, what did Xiaosu tell you?”
“Nothing much, let’s go, take them all back.”
So, the Fox was joyfully taken back to the 208th Regint, tightly bound. Already a Divine Beast capable of spirit communication, mingling with the entire regint’s warriors was no big deal.
In less than an hour, it had beco the beloved mascot of the 208th Regint.
Qu Guo’an stood at the doorway of the regint headquarters with a teacup in hand, watching a circle of troops playing enthusiastically with the Wolfhound, and couldn’t help but say to Tang Zelin with a laugh.
