Chapter 455: Chapter 454 Always Ready for Battle Chapter 455: Chapter 454 Always Ready for Battle Through the binoculars, the distant village wasn’t large, appearing to have about a dozen households. Nearly every house had a small fenced vegetable garden in front of it.
Now, both the houses and the land were overgrown with weeds.
The cold wind had a desolate look, yet there was a vaguely dangerous aura hidden within it.
“Group captain, I’ll probe ahead,” Wang ng requested.
Tang Zelin said, “Be careful.”
“Don’t worry, I’m off.”
Wang ng carried his gun and carefully skirted around from the back, then stealthily advanced, reaching the middle. With a nimble leap, he flipped onto an inconspicuous spot and lay there, lifting his binoculars to scrutinize the situation ahead.
Ti elapsed, second by second.
Just as Wang ng felt that there was nothing unusual and was about to return, a head suddenly peeked out quietly from below a window in his binoculars.
Wang ng imdiately tensed up, intently watching the other’s movents and tily signaling “There is a situation” to the people behind him.
Tang Zelin stood up and moved to the side of a wall without windows, setting up the binoculars in front of him, first checking on Wang ng ahead.
Then, following the direction Wang ng was looking, he adjusted the lens.
His brows slightly knit together, there indeed was a situation.
At first, there was a head scouting for any unusual activity around; soon after, probably when the other side felt there was no movent outside,
they simply pulled back their head and boldly walked out through the main entrance.
Carrying a Type 95 automatic rifle, the sight of that gun imdiately darkened Tang Zelin’s eyes.
This was a piece of active military equipnt, yet it was in the hands of soone who clearly wasn’t a soldier. The reason for this, he hazarded a guess, was unsettling.
Tang Zelin whispered a warning to Wang ng up front, “The opponent has standard-issue weapons. Don’t act rashly; first, clarify the situation.”
Lying in the front conducting covert reconnaissance, Wang ng heard the voice from his handset and softly acknowledged it.
The danger from the other side was becoming apparent, Su Shu stood up and walked next to Tang Zelin, cautiously peering outside.
She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but she felt as if her eyesight was getting better, although she could not see the weapons on the opponents that Tang Zelin and Zhang Dongke were discussing.
However, she could see the moving figures there.
“If the other side has guns, does that an this place is also a base?” she asked.
Tang Zelin pressed her head down, “Be careful, don’t expose yourself.”
He was mainly worried about her safety.
“Understood.”
Zhang Dongke observed the front, “Group captain, three people have already co out, all equipped with military weapons. Where do you think they got these weapons from? They didn’t really rob an armory, did they?”
Tang Zelin squinted his eyes, “Not necessarily, It’s also possible that they obtained these by dealing with the military. Let’s wait and see; keep a close eye on their numbers. With shifty eyes, this place can’t be clean. Alert the soldiers to be ready for battle at any mont.”
“Yes!”
The whole team entered combat readiness, including Su Shu.
With a gun in hand, they were ready to join the fray at any mont.
But Su Shu still had her worries; with the looming danger, the odds were not favourable.
“Tang Zelin, be careful.”
“Sure,” he responded without turning to the woman behind him.
It wasn’t long before Wang ng, who was responsible for reconnaissance, returned. As soon as he did, his face looked sowhat grim.
“Report to the group captain, enemy spotted ahead. Currently, six targets are exposed, three ca out of a house and three others remain inside, each in a separate house.”
