Chapter 382: Chapter 381 Xiao’ai’s Secret Part 1 Chapter 382: Chapter 381 Xiao’ai’s Secret Part 1 Luo Family.
Li Xiaoxia leaned against the wall, knitting a pair of children’s woolen pants, occasionally looking up at the three children playing hopscotch on the ground.
In a square patch of ground, three of them flicked small stones lightly, marking territories, and went around the square with their butts poked out. Such a simple ga kept them utterly engaged.
Luo Gang, having finished so carpentry in the backyard, ca in to wash his face and, seeing the three children, couldn’t help but smile and said, “Been playing for quite a while, huh?”
“Indeed, they’ve been at it all afternoon. They just had sothing to eat, rested for a bit, and then started playing again.”
Luo Gang just smiled, didn’t say much, fetched water to wash his face, and while wiping it off, he turned to his wife and said, “Xiao’ai is such a good child in every way. it’s just a pity she can’t speak.”
“It doesn’t matter, she is adorable even without speaking.” Li Xiaoxia smiled back.
Luo Gang sat down beside his wife and massaged her legs, his brows furrowed as if sothing weighed on his mind. Li Xiaoxia noticed and put down her knitting.
“Is sothing bothering you?”
Luo Gang sighed, “I heard that starting from next week, the food distribution will be reduced. It’s not a good sign.”
“Where did you hear that from?”
“Soone overheard it from people at the governnt.. it seems that the food supply is really tight up there. I think we should start saving our food. I’ll go out and try to find a way to gather so more before winter; otherwise, we might face problems later.”
“Do you have any ideas?”
“Not at the mont, just seeing how things go.”
“Alright.” After a mont of silence, Li Xiaoxia thought of Tang Zelin, “Can we inquire about this from the group captain Tang?”
Luo Gang replied, “No point asking him, their troops are only responsible for transporting materials to the safe zones, not distributing them. I guess my guess is pretty accurate. I suppose they are also looking for solutions. I see he hasn’t been coming ho much recently.”
Li Xiaoxia humd, her gaze falling on her two sons, and said solemnly, “I hope we can get through this winter safely. The boys are still so young.”
Luo Gang silently listened to his wife’s words, feeling the sa deep concerns.
On the ground, Xiao’ai, playing hopscotch, abruptly flicked her stone out of the “boundary” with a plump little hand. The stone not only crossed the boundary but also rolled far beyond until it stopped at the corner of the wall.
The little girl’s eyes locked onto the corner, blinking several tis, her long eyelashes fluttering.
Her small hand still held the position from when she had flicked the stone, astonishing the two boys nearby.
“Xiao’ai is so aweso! So powerful! She flicked it so far!”
Although she technically lost this round, the remarkable distance she achieved earned her praises from the brothers who generously offered Xiao’ai another chance to play again.
Li Xiaoxia and Luo Gang found it amusing watching this, oblivious to Xiao’ai frowning at the stone in the corner. After a while, the little girl stood up, moved her short little legs towards the stone, picked it up, and placed it back in her own “camp,” aiming in the sa direction before flicking it again.
The stone rolled back to its original spot.
Her eyes suddenly brightened, she picked up the stone, walked over to Li Xiaoxia, and pointed at herself, then towards the direction of the mountain.
Li Xiaoxia leaned forward, reached out her hand, and rubbed her head, “Xiao’ai, do you want to go ho?”
Xiao’ai nodded her head.
