Chapter 143: Chapter 127: Reconstructing chanisms

Song Yiyi, who beca the second tenant of the Su Family, almost fled in haste, using the excuse of needing to go back to pack clothes and luggage.

Seeing this, Su Tongxi enthusiastically followed to help.

Finally, the house quieted down, and Su Lin needed this solitude to begin processing the first Tier One chanism of the safe house.

However, the chanism slots of the Level 4 Safe House were already full, so he had to dismantle one of the existing ones.

The current chanisms in the courtyard were:

Two Earth Spikes, two Arrow Walls, one Glue Trap, one Collision Wall, one Ejection Trap, and one Wooden Hamr.

A total of eight chanisms.

Su Lin stood in the center of the courtyard.

The afternoon sun had receded from its midday heat, casting a layer of golden gauze over the blue brick pavent.

The sand grains in the brick cracks refracted tiny light spots, which were sowhat dazzling.

He pondered for a mont, finally directing his gaze to the courtyard entrance.

"The Swinging Wooden Hamr and Earth Spike at the door have done well at clearing the area," he mused, "but every ti it encounters a Shadow Beast leader, material repairs are needed. If I act slowly, it can beco totally useless, not cost-effective. Better to replace them."

Luckily, he had recently acquired several new blueprint chanisms.

Although unable to enjoy the comprehensive enhancent associated with the King of the Garbage Can, the added power of the Glazed Cannon should suffice.

The floor injector in Zhang Shuo’s safe house left a deep impression on him.

Back then, Zhang Shuo went mad and indiscriminately burned several Flesh Lock Martial Artists from three villages almost to ashes.

With its power nearly increased by half, even leaders could sustain considerable damage.

Comparatively, the other blueprints in hand seed rather useless.

Though the King of the Garbage Can was a transitional term entry, it proved exceedingly practical.

It forcibly elevated these originally low-level chanisms to a level beyond their own.

In terms of power, the Enhanced Earth Spike and Arrow Wall are sufficient;

In terms of control, the Glue Trap, Ejection Trap, and Collision Wall all perform exceptionally;

For specific terrains, the linear impact of the Swinging Wooden Hamr isn’t too bad; only its large size makes it vulnerable to leader damage.

On the tier below Tier One chanisms, it’s challenging to find replacents that can match them comprehensively.

Even with the added benefit of the Glazed Cannon, other chanisms struggle to compete with these fully enhanced "veterans."

"The slots for the Level 4 Safe House’s chanisms are still too limited," Su Lin sighed lightly, "and it may be hard to encounter another term like the King of the Garbage Can for such comprehensive enhancent."

Golden term entries, or perhaps even higher-level ones, might be achievable.

Yet he had only drawn a golden entry once in five attempts, and the next remains unknown on the horizon.

But then he rembered another entry that had appeared alongside the "Big Buy Special"—

"Enhancing Energy: Allows repeated acquisitions of entries, refreshing for an entry of higher tier the next ti."

"If I draw it next, it would be worth a bet, albeit sacrificing one entry choice."

Having experienced the "Big Buy Special" breaking through base codes, he was curious about the effects of other golden entries.

Without further delay, Su Lin summoned the House Title Deed.

He went outside to confirm no one was around, disabling the safe house’s everyday camouflage mode.

With a subtle thought, he chose to dismantle the Swinging Wooden Hamr at the courtyard gate and the adjacent Earth Spike.

Bang! Bang!

The massive wooden hamr and sharp earth spike instantly disintegrated, dispersing into sparkling points fading into the air.

Active dismantling offered no reimbursent.

Watching this scene, Su Lin’s gaze grew sowhat dazed.

This sight, it was just like a ga.

Suddenly recalling his conversation with Song Yiren at Zhang Shuo’s safe house.

She had once asked if he ever considered where the rules co from.

Back then, he casually replied with so perfunctory phrases: "Aliens," "Heaven’s Path," "Brain in a Vat," "Gods."

Yet Song Yiren rely smiled, echoing "Indeed."

"Could it be... my casual babbling inadvertently hit upon their ideas? Gods?..."

Su Lin rubbed his forehead, suppressing the chaotic thoughts.

"Never mind, just as long as it’s not a real-life ’Matrix.’" he mused.

With Song Yiren demonstrating such a high level, he refrained from contemplating with his own limited knowledge.

As she said, survival in the post-apocalyptic world is already challenging.

The lesser the ability, the fewer the responsibilities — such grand thes should be left to the capable to fret over.

For now, his focus was on enhancing his strength and living well.

Dismantling the two chanisms freed up space.

Imdiately, Su Lin placed a floor injector on the innermost part of the courtyard near the door.

However, without the influence of the King of the Garbage Can, the construction speed of chanisms was infuriatingly slow!

A faint blue virtual shadow, only visible to the owner of the safe house, gradually congealed, taking shape at the gate, converting to physical form at a snail’s pace.

Su Lin struck his leg abruptly: "Oops! I was muddle-headed!"

He had gotten used to the convenience offered by entries, forgetting that normal chanism construction requires a lengthy duration and can only happen one at a ti!

With a quick glance at the sky, dusk was near.

"Will the Giant Beast Hunting Beehive be completed before tonight’s beast tide?"

He shook his head helplessly: "Forget it, even if the hive’s ready, it will take three days for the bees to mature. Tonight, I’ll have to manage on my own..."

Wait!

Again pausing, he then chuckled:

"How foolish! Just accepted a powerful tenant, why would I handle it myself? Song Yiyi, after all, is in the Flesh Lock Realm and has learned Qi and Blood manipulation; tonight’s leader is perfect for her practice!"

Tenants are ant to share the burden, allowing oneself to laze and enjoy, aren’t they?

As dusk deepened, Song Yiyi and Su Tongxi had still not returned.

Likely, Hanbao had taken the newly-added tenant to the Su Family’s Old Mansion to explain the situation to their second uncle.

anwhile, the floor injector was finally completed.

The Glazed Cannon’s enhancents were not as comprehensive as the King of the Garbage Can, only boosting power and effect—its shape remained unchanged, identical to what was seen at Zhang Shuo’s safe house.

Su Lin had no ti to observe, turning swiftly to the other side of the wall to prepare the main act.

Just about to choose a spot on the courtyard wall, he paused, suddenly realizing:

"This is a nurturing-type beehive, not an attack chanism, why build it in the courtyard? Indoors would be safer!"

He hurried inside with the House Title Deed, attempting imdiately at a corner of the indoor wall.

The chanism’s virtual shadow appeared on the wall.

It was indeed viable!

This saved precious indoor space while ensuring the hive core’s safety.

Su Lin activated construction without hesitation.

The prepared aromatic wood, treasure at, and beast at vanished instantly.

A virtual image of a giant beehive, filling the entire wall, began to take shape in the corner of the room.

In the faint blue light of the virtual shadow, the authentic color of the hive subtly erged, resembling a piece of ancient, warm amber, firmly embedded in the corner.

Nurous fine, orderly hexagonal cells layered in perfect arrangent.

The matte light yellow background flickered in the gentle blue halo.

A stray twilight beam slipped through the window, laden with tiny dust particles, twinkling upon the hive grid, accentuating the ticulously structured dinsions.
