Chapter 22: They Can Evolve! The City Destruction Plan!
In the footage, there was a middle-aged man who appeared small and frail, standing at about 1.6 ters tall.
But what made Jiang Cheng and Liu Yuqing’s hearts skip a beat was that this originally emaciated, short middle-aged man transford after mutating into a towering figure over 2.5 ters tall, with a body size two to three tis more exaggerated than that of Dwayne Johnson.

As the news broadcast ended and comrcials began airing, Liu Yuqing hadn’t noticed that the skewer in her hand had long gone cold, but she didn’t care anymore.
Retracting her gaze from the TV, Liu Yuqing looked at Jiang Cheng beside her, filled with disbelief. “Just now … what was that zombie? Have you ever seen sothing like that?”
Jiang Cheng shook his head, frowning, and said, “If I’m not mistaken, that zombie has evolved!”
“Evo… evolved?”
Liu Yuqing gasped, unable to believe it. “Are you saying it’s like those zombies infected with the T-virus in Resident Evil?”
Jiang Cheng nodded.
The mont he saw that zombie on TV, he suddenly recalled the zombie he had encountered on the first floor that used its arm to block his nail gun!
This guess was probably correct. The zombies in this world could indeed evolve! This was not good news at all!
After finishing their al, Liu Yuqing naturally began tidying up the table. Seeing this, Jiang Cheng didn’t interfere. He took out his phone and walked over to the side by himself.
Finding a seat by the window, he sat down, looked out at the street below, lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and then slowly exhaled.

“Understood, sir!” Jarvis responded promptly.
It didn’t take long after his response—just about ten seconds—before Jarvis’s voice sounded again, summarizing the information he had found.
After understanding the situation, it was pretty much as Jiang Cheng had guessed.
The status of the infection in various countries was consistent with what he had found earlier in the day. Although there had been zombies appearing before, they had been contained by each country. However, today, the situation in Shangbin City spiraled out of control, triggering the outbreak. Other countries around the world also saw the outbreak of the zombie crisis in the past two days as they failed to contain it.
It could be said that this was the early stage of the apocalypse!
After the initial chaos, the Cultural and Military Departnts of each country had already organized forces!
However, these Military and Cultural Departnts had no plans to rescue the public but rather chose to continue covering up the truth, just like in the news broadcast earlier, constantly trying to appease the populace.

The things shown on TV were nothing more than empty talk, ant to deceive the ordinary people, to keep them calm and give them a glimr of hope so they wouldn’t act out.
Of course, there would be actions taken, like setting up checkpoints at every exit from the city, and there would be rescue operations, but those were just for show.
Even if they did rescue anyone, it would only be those on the outskirts of the city. As for the citizens in the city center, they would be left to fend for themselves.
To these officials, saving even one person was ideal. But if they couldn’t save anyone, once Shangbin was lost, they would bomb the city just like in the U.S., clearing it out. And if that didn’t work, they would resort to nuclear weapons!

All the personnel evacuating from Shangbin City were being relocated to Donghai City!
Moreover, the rescue operations that were rely for show were only planned to last for seven days. If the infection wasn’t contained within that ti, Shangbin City would be completely abandoned!
In other words, after seven days, they might dispatch the Military Departnt to bomb Shangbin City!
