Editor’s ramblings: While editing this chapter I learned that there is a genus (and family) of crab nad after Portunus, the Roman god of doors, locks, livestock, and ports. No, I don’t know what livestock has to do with doors, locks, and ports, nor do I know what that has to do with crabs. This has been your random educational rambling for the day. Tomorrow we’ll talk about how kelp are not actually plants.
