Chapter 75: Encounter With the Ex Special Forces Soldier
Gu Jin and Zhao Ying were worried that they could not carry too many items in their arms.
Earlier, both of them had discussed that they needed to loot as many things as possible. For that, a few big boxes were needed.
When they entered the supermarket, they found out that not many things were left. The shelves were mostly empty.
Gu Jin walked to the end of a shelf with a depressed expression on his face. He held a packet of bear biscuits in her hand. It was the only thing he could find. He forced a smile and said, “It’s not a total loss. At least Zhao Zhao will have sothing to eat.”
Zhao Ying could not bring herself to smile, but she felt a little relieved.
“It’s okay, this is just one aisle among the many others. We will definitely be able to find more food. Cheer up! Don’t be sad!”
Gu Jin smiled and held Zhao Ying’s hands. He agreed, “You’re right. Maybe we should go look for Li Ran. There’s not even a bottle of water left here. Sigh, what bad luck!”
“At least we’re not empty-handed. There’s still this bag of biscuits.”
Zhao Ying’s words comforted Gu Jin a lot.
Suddenly, the sound of a can being kicked over could be heard. It ca from behind them.
They imdiately turned around. Their hearts were pounding and fear instantly took over.
What they saw was a man. He was looking at them with a hostile expression. The man was holding a stick and there was liquid dripping at the end of it.
Gu Jin saw the color of the liquid.
It was dark red!
What could it be but blood?
All three of them looked at each other for a solid four seconds before anyone reacted.
The man had a sleepy expression while his body was full of muscles. There was no doubt that he was very strong!
After realizing that the two people in front of him were humans, Wang Gang’s eyes widened. He was in disbelief.
“Woah, I get to et actual humans today?”
Wang Gang was a special forces soldier who had retired early. It was not a choice. He had to leave due to his injuries.
Gu Jin looked at him from head to toe. He dared not go near him. The size of his body was very intimidating.
Who knows what he might do. After all, murder was no longer a cri!
If he did not pay attention, he could die without even knowing. Gu Jin was not ready to go to hell yet!
“Hey, you guys are humans, right? Why aren’t you talking? I’m not a zombie. Are you scared?”
Zhao Ying ca back to her senses. Fortunately, it was Li Ran who drove past them. If it was a person like this man, she would have never agreed to travel together!
“We were just looking for sothing to eat. Sorry to disturb you, we’ll be leaving.”
Zhao Ying smiled as she held Gu Jin’s hand and they took a step back.
Wang Gang scratched his head. This couple was clearly frightened by him, even though he did nothing!
He threw the stick that he was holding on the ground and smiled, hoping to serene the atmosphere. ”
Hello, I’m Wang Gang. Do you want to be friends?” he said in a soft tone.
‘Be friends? Is this guy for real? We are in an apocalypse. Saying sothing like this will only make people think that you have evil intentions. We need to get out of here as soon as possible!’
What Gu Jin and Zhao Ying were thinking was obvious.
At the sa ti, Yang Shao walked out of the bathroom while scratching his head. He felt extrely annoyed because he had not been able to shower for almost a month! His body felt disgusting!
He reminisced about the ti when he could shower whenever he wanted. It was a great feeling! On the other hand, being beaten up by Wang Gang was not a great feeling.
Gu Jin had an awkward expression on his face. He tried to laugh and said, “We still have sowhere else to go. I’m sorry, but we have to part here.”
The two of them desperately wanted to leave.
Wang Gang suddenly realized sothing. He imdiately ca up to them and asked curiously, “How did you guys get here?”
“Ah…”
Gu Jin and Zhao Ying stepped back.
‘We’re in trouble! Not only do we have to guard ourselves against zombies, but also humans!
They did not want to say anything.
Wang Gang frowned and he looked even fiercer. Zhao Ying was scared senseless. Just as she was about to speak, her eyes caught sight of Li Ran!
