The contents of the manga are nothing special, but the art style is quite nice, making one feel a bit restless.

Back at the Tan Village Shelter, Lu Xi’an had already read through the manga once. Now, reading it again, he approached it with a critical spirit.

However, after finishing it, he inevitably felt so regret.

The manga made him restless, but it was too cold outside the car, and inside the car, Yao Wei was present. Although she was asleep, it still didn’t seem appropriate.

I might as well recite a few incantations...

With a heart as cold as ice, even if the sky falls, one remains unalard. With a heart as cold as ice, even if the sky falls, one remains unalard...

Lu Xi’an felt that after the hardship training of the apocalypse, his willpower was quite strong. It only took him a mont to force himself to calm down.

He put the manga back into his backpack and sighed inwardly.

Had I known, I should have asked Luo Ping for a few more books to read. It would be nice as a pasti during leisure ti.

But who knows if Luo Ping has any books other than inappropriate manga and magazines, like proper novels.

He lay back in the driver’s seat, clearing his mind and staring at the car roof. Soft singing filled the air, with a woman singing, "You are my strawberry ice cream, lting at the corner of my mouth into a pink mark."

Listening to the song, he unknowingly fell asleep.

...

Day by day passed, and after four days, the cold wave finally subsided. The weather turned warm again, and the strips of dog at hanging outside the car were just finished by Yao Wei and Lu Xi’an.

"Just right, no need to worry about spoiling in the heat."

Lu Xi’an said.

"Yeah."

Yao Wei nodded.

The two waited for another half day. Once they confird the fuel pump was finally usable, they refueled the car, put the computer back, and set off on their journey.

The computer really took up too much space, affecting Yao Wei’s seating posture.

If nothing special happens when driving, it’s fine. But in the case of danger, Yao Wei, sitting cross-legged, might not perform well.

After weighing the pros and cons, they decided to leave the computer behind but took the hard drive.

Honestly, they both felt a bit reluctant when leaving the computer behind.

During these four days, they had listened to music on the computer and watched many videos. The computer’s collection wasn’t just inappropriate stuff like "Late Autumn," but also proper content like costu dramas, love stories, and special effects movies.

Unfortunately, the love stories Lu Xi’an found were too pure, each like a gentle stream flowing into the heart without any intense scenes. It seed that this world distinguished love from passion very clearly, with no mingling between the two.

Yao Wei wasn’t too fond of such things, preferring action and special effects films. Lu Xi’an wondered if Yao Wei would take a few more glances if there were movies similar to "Lust, Caution."

But probably not...

When watching movies, Yao Wei always gave Lu Xi’an the impression that she was studying rather than appreciating.

When watching costu action or modern action films, she occasionally furrowed her brows, seemingly analyzing whether the characters’ fighting techniques were practical and if she could learn them.

So simple yet effective actions, she would even ask Lu Xi’an to rewind and play again.

And for so special effects films, she seed to be pondering whether she could get a hold of the stuff in them.

So for Yao Wei, the content on the computer was highly beneficial. Therefore, when leaving the computer and returning to the car, she turned back several tis, feeling truly reluctant.

"I’ll have Gou mark this place. If we co across a laptop in the future and need it, we can see if we can attach the hard drive to retrieve the data. If not, see if we can co back here to transfer the videos and music."

After getting in the car, Lu Xi’an said. Fearing Yao Wei might not understand, he explained, "It’s about transferring the videos and music from the computer to a laptop."

"Okay."

Yao Wei nodded, asking, "What’s a laptop?"

Lu Xi’an said, "It’s also a computer, but portable, like this ’World Map One’ you have, you can open and close it, and it’s thin without taking up much space. But the function is the sa."

Yao Wei was holding the ’World Map One.’ When Lu Xi’an asked Gou to record the coordinates, she also put a check on the map and drew a circle.

The check marked the place for gasoline, and the circle signified a computer.

Setting off again, heading west.

The world beca sowhat scorching after the temperature rose. When in Jiang Yu City, Mozhou City, and even further north, Lu Xi’an hadn’t encountered such intense heat.

He asked, "How much further west do we need to go?"

Yao Wei flipped through the ’World Map One,’ answering, "A little further, we don’t need to reach the urban area of ngxin City, then we can turn south. We need to enter Sword Mountain City from Grassland County."

Lu Xi’an nodded and said, "Okay, you point the direction, and I’ll drive." He actually already knew Yao Wei’s purpose for this journey. On the surface, she said it was the oasis, but it was actually the enemy who killed her mother.

The mont of hesitation had passed, and Lu Xi’an was now stuck with this car, feeling inseparable. No matter where Yao Wei went, he felt he could only follow.

The environnt ahead slightly changed, and the ngxin grassland finally began to give way to jungles.

However, the jungle here wasn’t as sparse as that in Yu Bei.

The long-collapsed road from earlier years followed along the jungle, and when looking at the map, Yao Wei indicated that they could veer south after bypassing this jungle.

There was a river at the edge of the jungle.

They decided to stop here for a al and then continue their journey.

Lu Xi’an had Gou scout ahead to confirm there were no problems before getting out of the car with Yao Wei. One set up a fire to cook, while the other replenished the water and firewood used over the past few days.

With both water and trees abundant, if not now, when else to replenish?

The rice was already on the boil, while the dehydrated vegetables were added when the rice was nearly done, along with so salt and soy sauce.

Though this mixed-pot al was oversimplified, for the two of them who had been eating dog at strips for days, it was an ultimate delicacy.

Once the vegetables softened and cooked through, they divided the al and each enjoyed their food.

But just when they were halfway through their al, Gou’s eyes suddenly glead with light.

"Sothing’s wrong!"

Lu Xi’an imdiately beca alert, saying, "Get in the car, quick!"

Yao Wei was already alard, flipping her bowl back into the pot and picking it up.

Lu Xi’an, who was eating from a pot, had no choice but to shove it into the car.

"Awooo... awoooo..."

The sounds were chaotic yet orderly. A pack of large-sized gray wolves suddenly burst out from the jungle, sprinting towards the car.

The wolves moved incredibly fast; one mont they were ten ters away, the next they were much closer.

With such speed and size, they were probably akin to those formidable hyenas.

Lu Xi’an and Yao Wei didn’t want to confront these wild wolves head-on, so they quickly got into the car and shut the door.
