The video’s clarity is sowhat worse compared to photos, and it was a bit shaky at first, placed by Yao Huo in a position where it could capture the distant ocean, the coastline slightly exposed to the seawater nearby, and the body of the return module.

By this ti, it should have been so ti since they landed on Earth; the seawater began to recede, revealing the ground.

Lu Xi’an and Yao Wei saw so familiar yet strange landscapes.

They were familiar because they resembled the outside a bit, but strange because too much ti had passed, and the vegetation and environnt had changed significantly.

So everything that t the eye was different.

Yao Huo fiddled with the recording equipnt for a while. After setting it up properly, he took a deep breath and spoke solemnly to the cara:

"The solar panels are broken, this is the last bit of power we have. We’ve decided to record this as sothing useful for humanity—if there’s still humanity."

Yao Wei’s mother, Ye Wenxin, stood quietly not far away, as if she had already rged with the blue sky, ocean, breeze, and white clouds in the background.

Like Yao Huo, she was looking at the cara calmly and indifferently.

Lu Xi’an watched the screen, sowhat in admiration.

He roughly understood what Yao Huo was saying in the video, realizing that the two who descended from the sky had reached a dead-end situation.

Heaven and earth seed vast, and their return from the sky was truly an unparalleled event.

The vast ocean stretched infinitely, with no sign of humanity. Yet even so, they maintained their composure, facing it all with calmness.

Remarkable!

Lu Xi’an guessed that they had Yao Wei after the sea had completely receded and land reerged.

Otherwise, amidst the vast ocean and dire straits, having a child would be too cruel for the child.

From the videos, photos, chip records, and Yao Wei’s recounting of her mother, it was clear that Yao Wei’s parents weren’t like that.

And by calculating the ti, that should indeed be the case.

They continued watching the video.

In the video, Yao Huo slowly retreated to stand beside Ye Wenxin, and then they stood face-to-face.

"It’s starting."

Yao Huo spoke.

"Mm."

Ye Wenxin looked directly at Yao Huo, nodding.

Then the two moved simultaneously, though not quickly, their fists and feet colliding like a coordinated dance.

Were they sparring?

Lu Xi’an furrowed his brows and exchanged a glance with Yao Wei.

Watching the video again, Yao Huo and Ye Wenxin continued performing a rhythmical "kung fu dance."

Though both were already Type A Neo-Humans, their speed was so slow, it felt as if they were accommodating the cara to ensure it could capture their movents.

Or perhaps they were purposefully moving slowly for the person in front of the cara.

Lu Xi’an and Yao Wei watched seriously for a while, observing the "dance" from start to finish, gradually uncovering a mystery—

This bore an uncanny resemblance to the training thods they’ve learned from books.

But what’s in the books is just a solo training thod and seems much simpler than the movent in the video.

The movents of Yao Huo and Ye Wenxin in the video were more than twice the intensity of those in the booklet, and many of the motions could only be perford through mutual coordination.

Lu Xi’an felt these two were torturing themselves in synchronization, their bodies transforming under the strain, muscles changing, blood vessels swelling, and their faces flushed, breathing heavily—a testant to the toll on their bodies, difficult to bear even for Neo-Humans.

But it should benefit their bodies, enhancing physical strength, right?

Otherwise, why would they torture themselves like this?

Could these dual movents, based on the Type A Neo-Humans’ training thod, be an advanced technique for them?

So, Yao Wei’s parents, Yao Huo and Ye Wenxin, were Type A Neo-Humans, exploring and developing this training thod themselves?

"Hoo..."

The two separated in the video, both exhaling deeply.

Ye Wenxin said, "Let’s go faster; this slow training is really tiring."

"Alright."

Yao Huo nodded.

And so the two in the video moved again, replaying the set of movents, but now much faster—so fast that the recording devices couldn’t capture them properly, turning them into re afterimages, sotis separating, sotis entangled.

Lu Xi’an confird that this segnt of movent practice was the main content of the video, just as he was thinking about suggesting to Yao Wei to try it tomorrow, he heard her say, "These movents... it seems like my mom taught this..."

"Really?"

Lu Xi’an widened his eyes slightly, looking at Yao Wei.

"Yes."

Yao Wei nodded, saying, "I was too young at the ti, and this set of movents was too hard. I only practiced a few steps and couldn’t continue, so I don’t rember much. Seeing this video reminded .

"My mom wanted to practice with her, but after a few tries, she didn’t dare to let continue, fearing it would harm my body. She said we’d talk about it when I got older..."

But she didn’t wait for you to grow up, did she?

Lu Xi’an guessed the unspoken words of Yao Wei and secretly sighed in his heart.

These specific training thods for Type A Neo-Humans must have been improved from the Type A Neo-Humans’ exercise manuals.

According to the tiline of Yao Huo and Ye Wenxin landing on Earth, the war had already broken out by then.

From much of the information Lu Xi’an previously accessed, it showed that during the war, various strains of X-17 had already started to beco widespread, with the only constraint on all types of Neo-Humans being the natural rejection response of the human body.

But even for improvents, it wasn’t easy at all.

Lu Xi’an didn’t know with what feelings or how Yao Huo and Ye Wenxin made the decision to leave the last bit of battery in their recording equipnt for this set of actions, anyway, this set of actions was entirely useless and even harmful to most people.

Only Type A Neo-Humans like them could adapt to the intensity of these actions.

—And even so, it required strong willpower to endure the pain of training and coordinate smoothly with their partners to complete.

Before recording the video, Yao Huo said that this was a little useful thing left to humans, and in the end, this little thing fell into their daughter’s hands. Lu Xi’an didn’t know if this was fate, but from the way Yao Wei watched the video, Lu Xi’an knew that she cared deeply.

The rapidly intense action shadows in the video suddenly broke off, as the equipnt used for recording must have completely run out of power, thus ending the video.

But Yao Wei seed to want to watch, so she reopened the video.

Perhaps she wanted to see more of her parents’ appearances and voices through the video.

Lu Xi’an didn’t disturb her, quietly walked away, and went to boil three corncobs.

After they were cooked, he took one out of the car and knocked on the door of the return module.

Inside the return module, Blade held his breath, but Lu Xi’an could still hear his heartbeat.

"It’s ."

Lu Xi’an said, and the boy finally breathed a sigh of relief, continued breathing, and ca to open the door.

Lu Xi’an stuffed the corn into Blade’s hand and said, "Here, eat this tonight to fill up your stomach. Also, rember, don’t put any of that stuff on the ground inside your mouth, it’s poisonous."

Blade was stunned for a mont, took the corn, and said, "Tha...thank you, you’re...you’re a good person! You guys are all good people!"

The boy finally expressed this thought, and Lu Xi’an smiled, as he finally heard this evaluation again.

If there were real cards for ’good person cards’ in this world, he would surely beco a master card collector.

"Rest now."

He said as he closed the door for Blade, listening to the quiet for a mont inside, followed by the sound of ravenously devouring corn.

That boy would probably eat even the corn cob clean...

Lu Xi’an thought to himself. He returned to the car, took out the other two corncobs from the pot, and gave one to Yao Wei.

Yao Wei finally ca back to her senses, glanced at Lu Xi’an, took the corn and quietly gnawed on it. While eating, she continued watching the looped video on the laptop.

"Shall we try practice tomorrow?"

Lu Xi’an asked Yao Wei.

"Hmm... okay."

Yao Wei agreed.

After finishing the corn, Yao Wei finally stood up and left from in front of the laptop.

She was going to tidy up the pot still on the fire.

If it were any other ti, Lu Xi’an naturally wouldn’t need Yao Wei to do it, but this ti Lu Xi’an just wanted Yao Wei to step away from those imrsed emotions of the past, so he didn’t contest with Yao Wei.

Unexpectedly, after Yao Wei tidied up the pot, she sat back in front of the laptop to watch again.

That endlessly replaying, monotonous video without any plot, yet she seed to watch it with great gusto, as if she’d never tire of it.

"Not going to sleep?"

Lu Xi’an asked her.

She shook her head and said, "I’ll watch a bit more, you go ahead and sleep."

"Alright then."

Lu Xi’an said, got into bed.

But as he closed his eyes, he couldn’t fall asleep, perhaps because he hadn’t watched a bedti movie tonight.

He tossed and turned for a while, his gaze suddenly landing on Yao Wei sitting on the sofa, then he got up from bed and walked over to sit beside Yao Wei on the sofa.

Yao Wei was slightly stunned, looked at Lu Xi’an, and asked, "Weren’t you going to sleep?"

Lu Xi’an replied, "Couldn’t sleep, I’m here to watch with you."

"Mm..."

Yao Wei said softly.

The night wind blew outside the car, but not a bit could enter inside.

The moonlight outside and the light inside the vehicle were tightly sealed off by the RV and the boards on the windows, making the interior and exterior worlds distinctly separate.

Lu Xi’an gently wrapped an arm around Yao Wei’s shoulder, and Yao Wei naturally leaned into Lu Xi’an, resting her head on his shoulder, so naturally.

Their gaze remained fixed on the video playing on the laptop, never shifting away.
