Chapter 85: Accidentally Surrounded
Three factions squeezed into the warehouse containing platinum-level supplies.
However, it was empty inside.
Oliver clapped slowly and sarcastically remarked, “The sheriff really has so tricks up his sleeve, what a clever move to deceive us!”
“While we were talking, they took away the platinum-level supply crates!”
“Bravo, truly brilliant!”
Noah also chuckled coldly, his expression very displeased.
The cooked duck had flown away just like that!
Allowing the sheriff to directly take away the platinum-level supply crates ant they couldn’t even get a single piece.
After all, the Police Station was a top-tier large team; if they wanted to snatch at from his mouth, they had to be prepared for total annihilation.
Oliver and Noah naturally didn’t have that courage.
If the sheriff didn’t die and ca back to recuperate, it would be entirely possible for him to systematically dismantle their two teams.
They couldn’t afford to gamble, so they could only swallow their pride.
But what was even more frustrating was not them, but the sheriff.
The sheriff entered the warehouse, looked around at the empty space devoid of any trace of the platinum-level supply crates, and a thought crossed his mind.
“Damn it, where are the supply crates?!”
The sheriff initially thought Oliver and Noah had secretly sent soone to intercept them.
But judging from the reactions of the two, it seed that it wasn’t their doing.
In other words, besides them, there were other forces fishing in troubled waters.
The sheriff was furious and ignored Oliver and Noah’s sneers.
“001, imdiately call a group of brothers and conduct a carpet search from here in a circular pattern! Also, have helicopters fly overhead to spot any suspicious individuals and report back imdiately!”
“Yes!”
001 complied and promptly arranged manpower.
Oliver and Noah watched the sheriff hurriedly and conspicuously as if searching for soone, vaguely guessing the situation.
They imdiately called mbers of their own teams to conduct a carpet search.
This was a great opportunity for them.
The platinum-level supply crates were not in the hands of the sheriff. If they found them first…
Well, then they wouldn’t belong to the sheriff.
The three factions harbored their own secrets and almost all their subordinates were dispatched.
By this ti, Alex had already left the industrial park for a long ti.
He didn’t even have ti to open the platinum-level supply crate, pack it into his backpack, and hastily left.
Even while the sheriff and Oliver were facing off, Alex had already activated his “Stealth” skill, quietly entered the warehouse from behind, and took away the platinum-level supply crates.
He didn’t drive.
That would make him too conspicuous.
The sheriff and his team probably figured out that the platinum-level supply crates had been intercepted and were now searching for him all over the city.
Alex sprinted along the streets.
Faster!
Even faster! As long as he ran out of the old city’s periter, he could imdiately retrieve his car and quietly return to the villa area.
But just then, a group of zombies suddenly surrounded him.
Damn it! Alex cursed inwardly.
With no other choice, he had to draw out his critical hit katana and slay the zombies.
To be safe, he refrained from using loud firearms.
But soon, he heard the noisy sound of helicopter blades nearby.
Alex knew he might have been exposed.
He just didn’t expect the sheriff and his team to react so quickly, to find him so soon.
“Suspicious individual spotted!”
Inside the helicopter dispatched by the Police Station, the pilot flew around the industrial park area, patrolling the surroundings.
Suddenly, they spotted soone fighting zombies nearby and imdiately reported to their colleagues.
Several key mbers of the Police Station were seated inside the helicopter.
Upon hearing the pilot’s report, they quickly picked up binoculars and looked in the direction of Alex’s fight.
Although not certain if Alex was the one who stole the platinum-level supply crates, their intuition told them sothing was off about this person!
The key mbers of the Police Station put down their binoculars and opened a chat window.
“We must report to the sheriff imdiately.”
Then, the helicopter slowly approached, recording a video and sending it over.
After Alex finished off the zombies, he waved at the approaching helicopter before quickly darting into an alley.
That’s him!
The people on the helicopter were absolutely certain.
This arrogance surely belonged to the thief who stole the platinum-level supply crates without a doubt!
The sheriff also received the clear video.
001 also watched nearby, frowning as he said, “Sheriff, this suspicious individual is wearing combat gear, and we don’t know who he is…”
The sheriff’s face darkened.
He never expected to encounter this person in the old city.
“It’s 10086.”
“We received intelligence before that when 10086 wiped out the Gale Warriors team in the suburbs, he was wearing silver-colored combat gear.”
“But how did he end up here?”
001 was astonished.
“Him?!”
He had almost forgotten about 10086.
Initially, there was a period when the Police Station treated 10086 as a hypothetical enemy.
But as the Police Station relocated to the central area and their power grew, 001 had completely dismissed 10086, who survivors jokingly called the “Peak from Debut.”
The sheriff frowned and said, “Imdiately send brothers from other locations to that area.”
“Make sure they are cautious; we don’t know if 10086 has any heavy weaponry on hand, so don’t ss this up.”
001 nodded.
“Yes, I’ll inform the others.”
Oliver and Noah, upon hearing this, also ordered their subordinates to head in that direction.
Although they didn’t know the exact coordinates, such a large helicopter was the best landmark.
A sudden sense of unease enveloped Alex’s mind.
He could foresee that once the helicopter spotted him, it would definitely signal others to co over.
Then, he would be trapped.
However, he couldn’t blatantly escape from the old city area now.
The helicopter kept patrolling in the sky, denying him any opportunity.
He could only shuttle back and forth in the alleys, constantly evading the surveillance from the helicopter.
Alex leaned against the wall, walking in an alley.
At the corner, he heard voices from the other side.
“I wonder how this 10086, who stole the platinum-level supply crates, managed to do it! He actually stole the crates right under everyone’s noses!”
Another voice chid in.
“Who knows? We dare not say anything casually; saying the wrong thing might get us shot by the sheriff!”
“What do you an?”
“To put it bluntly, they’re blind…”
The speakers were two mbers of the Police Station.
They seed to have been stationed outside the industrial park and were unaware of the situation inside.
At this mont, they were among the first to arrive at the encirclent to capture Alex.
One was fat, and the other was thin, laughing and joking, not taking the sheriff’s orders too seriously.
In the next mont, the two of them, still chatting and laughing, turned the corner.
And they bumped right into Alex…
