Chapter 395: Beneath the sea

Rolling black clouds suddenly appeared out of thin air at that mont.

The thick clouds churned violently, covering the sky and filling hearts with fear.

anwhile, deep beneath the ocean, a massive whirlpool ford, with a diater of over ten kiloters.

Even an aircraft carrier appearing in such a place would seem as insignificant as an ant, utterly trivial and minuscule.

“Sure enough, it’s here!” Alex smiled slightly.

Though the fierce winds whipped around him, he stood firm, unmoved.

Without hesitation, he leaped downward, slicing through the sky like a teor.

With a thunderous crash, he shattered the ice layer on the ocean’s surface!

Boom!

An endless, icy cold ocean engulfed Alex instantly. The temperature of this water seed even lower than the last ti.

“As expected, there’s sothing seriously wrong with this whirlpool, sothing quite strange!”

“Before the whirlpool appeared, the temperature of the seawater here was relatively normal. The water near the surface was a bit colder, around 32 degrees Fahrenheit.”

“However, when this massive whirlpool erged, the temperature dropped by 20 to 30 degrees.”

“Yet, it hasn’t frozen over. It’s inexplicable!” Alex mused to himself.

With a thought, a faint but extraordinary light shield appeared on the surface of his body, effortlessly pushing aside billions of tons of seawater.

As he descended deeper, Alex had to endure not only increasingly colder temperatures but also the imnse weight of the ocean above.

Quickly, Alex dove to a depth of 5,000 ters below the surface.

This depth far surpassed human limits. An ordinary person would have been crushed to death by the endless water pressure long ago.

Not only humans, but most fish and even many submarines would be unable to reach this depth.

The water pressure was too imnse, capable of crushing bodies flat. Without oxygen, survival was impossible.

However, Alex reached this depth with ease, moving with composure. The water pressure couldn’t even deform or break the light shield on his body.

“Strange, even though this place isn’t too far from the shore, it’s this deep, almost as if the ocean floor is unreachable,” Alex murmured, raising an eyebrow.

There was no light around, only darkness. Alex was the only source of illumination.

“Alex, Alex, where are you now? Have you discovered anything? Please be cautious, don’t act impulsively. By the way, can you start a live stream now?” Olivia suddenly contacted Alex.

“I haven’t found anything yet. I’m currently at a depth of 5,000 ters, and still haven’t reached the bottom. I have no idea how much further it is!” Alex responded imdiately.

As he spoke, he used the system to start a live stream. The system’s live stream provided a full 360-degree view, almost like a three-dinsional projection, displaying the scene to Mia, Olivia, Nathan, Jose, and other high-ranking officials of Dawn City.

The scene 5,000 ters underwater appeared before everyone’s eyes. This place was almost devoid of life, desolate and dark.

“Not sure how much deeper it is to reach the seabed!”

Alex looked around, trying to discover sothing. Even though he was deep in the ocean, he could still feel the movent of the water, and it wasn’t slow. The center of the water flow was in the deeper part of the ocean. After a mont of hesitation, Alex headed further down.

“Be careful, Alex,” Mia reminded him with a worried expression.

“Got it!” Alex nodded. Then, in an instant, he powered up, shooting straight down into the depths of the water like an arrow.

This was sothing an ordinary person definitely couldn’t do.

At this depth, it was hard to go further down, but for Alex, it clearly wasn’t a problem.

He descended rapidly. It wasn’t long before he reached a depth of 5,100 ters! It took him less than a minute to descend 100 ters.

5,200 ters!

5,300 ters!

5,400 ters!

Alex frowned. He noticed that the light shield on the surface of his body could no longer withstand the pressure, which was being compressed tightly against his skin.

“The pressure is increasing, but it’s still within my tolerance range,” Alex thought, not pausing as he continued deeper. Soon, he reached a depth of 5,500 ters!

5,600 ters!

5,700 ters!

6,000 ters! Alex finally stopped, his eyes scanning the surrounding darkness.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t withstand the water pressure; his body was strong enough to dive another thousand ters without any issues.

However, if he went any deeper, he would have to consider the risks involved.

“The water flow has sped up a lot! I should be close to the destination!” Alex could feel the cold water rushing past his skin, and his spirits were lifted.

At this mont, he also saw a giant jellyfish drifting by in the distance. The jellyfish was as large as a battleship, with a transparent, glowing body.

Alex even felt a hint of threat from it.

Fortunately, the giant jellyfish didn’t seem to have any intention of attacking him, treating him as if he were invisible.

“Almost there, almost there!” Alex thought excitedly. anwhile, the people of Dawn City were all growing tense.

Mia said, “It looks like Alex is about to reach his destination. I wonder what he’ll discover.”

Nathan replied, “When phenona like this occur, it’s never an ordinary event. Such a massive and unprecedented occurrence is bound to lead to a significant discovery—perhaps even a groundbreaking one.”

“Let’s wait and see! This new discovery could be anything—we can’t tell yet if it’s sothing good or bad,” Olivia added, a hint of worry creasing her brow.

It was unclear whether she was concerned about Alex himself or worried that his actions might trigger sothing unpredictable.

Her words left everyone in silence.

At that mont, everyone’s eyes widened, as Alex was reaching a critical point.

As he continued to dive deeper, he could clearly feel the changes and movents in the water flow. Soon, his vision revealed the ocean floor.

Beneath the sea, there were vast, sprawling ridges, with many underwater volcanoes scattered among them.

Most of these volcanoes were completely dormant, but one in particular caught Alex’s attention—a dead volcano with a massive black hole at its mouth, as if it were swallowing all life around it.

The enormous whirlpool on the ocean’s surface seed to be closely connected to this black hole.

“My instincts tell that there’s no danger here. At least, the whirlpool and the black hole itself don’t seem threatening. I can give it a try!” Alex thought to himself. With this in mind, he quickly made his way toward the black hole.

Swish!

Alex plunged straight into the whirlpool’s black hole!

“Ah!” Alex exclaid.

Instantly, everything went dark before his eyes. Then, he felt a sensation of spinning, as if the world around him was swirling.

He had no idea how much ti had passed, but eventually, light returned to him.

Swish!
