Chapter 379: Alex’s appearance changed once again
Soon, the elected commander, the Lord of Apex City, stood up and called out loudly to the hidden survivors, “Friends hiding in the shadows, co out!”
“Everyone’s strength is about the sa. We’ve already detected your movents, so there’s no need to hide!”
“If you don’t co out, don’t bla us for being rude!”
“Now, we have ford an alliance to fight against the King of the Snow Beasts!”
“Your individual strength is too weak to be a match for the King of the Snow Beasts. Why not join us? We can defeat the snow beast together!”
“If you don’t want to join us, leave while you still can. Otherwise, don’t bla our weapons for being unkind!”
“You have three minutes. If you don’t make a decision in three minutes, things might get bloody!”
The Lord of Apex City spoke in a cold and loud tone, which was clearly heard by those in hiding.
Instantly, the hidden people hesitated.
Stay or leave?
They deliberated. So chose to leave directly. Lacking confidence in their own strength and doubting their chances of obtaining the King’s Originium, they felt the risk of death was too high. They decided it was better to leave and go back.
Others decided to stay and join the alliance, hoping for a chance to gain sothing.
Soon, everyone began to check the surroundings to ensure no one was hiding.
Then, they acted according to the plan, pretending not to recognize each other, and surrounded the snow beast, pointing and discussing.
They waited, but did not act.
They were waiting for Alex and Eugene to appear.
As soon as the two appeared, they would launch their attack simultaneously and kill them.
After an unknown amount of ti, one person suddenly needed to relieve himself.
“Lord of Apex City, I need to step away for a mont,” the person said to the Lord of Apex City. He was the Lord of Giant Spirit City, also a level ninety-nine powerhouse, and a friend of the Lord of Apex City.
The Lord of Apex City nodded in response.
“Go ahead, and return quickly. Alex might show up soon.”
“Be careful. If anything happens, let know imdiately!”
“Don’t worry, what could possibly go wrong? In this world, only Alex and Eugene are my opponents. Even if it’s Alex, he probably won’t be able to kill easily.”
The Lord of Giant Spirit City smiled dismissively.
Then, he hurried away to find a quiet, secluded place to take care of his business.
It was indeed a bad ti to need to relieve himself.
After all, it was a tense and critical mont. Additionally, due to their strong digestion, it was difficult for them to feel the need to urinate. So this sudden urge was quite inconvenient.
Not long after he started running, he suddenly stopped.
Seeing the figure ahead in the distance, the Lord of Giant Spirit City was montarily stunned. He realized that the Lord of Apex City had sohow appeared in front of him.
“Lord of Apex City, what’s going on? How did you suddenly end up in front of ? After all these years as friends, you still don’t trust ? Are you worried I might run away?”
The Lord of Giant Spirit City spoke with a hint of displeasure and surprise, not understanding why his companion had suddenly appeared ahead of him. However, he didn’t delve too deeply into it and instead questioned the other’s intentions.
The Lord of Apex City smiled faintly and said, “You’re overthinking. I followed you not out of suspicion but out of concern. I’m worried that Alex might appear suddenly. If that happens, you alone might not be able to handle it, and it would be very dangerous.”
“Having around can provide so support.”
Upon hearing this, the Lord of Giant Spirit City felt a bit of warmth.
It turned out he had misunderstood the Lord of Apex City.
“Thank you. I’ll take care of this quickly. I appreciate your help,” the Lord of Giant Spirit City said, walking alongside the Lord of Apex City.
“It’s nothing. It’s the least I can do!” the Lord of Apex City replied, a strange smile suddenly appearing on his face.
The Lord of Giant Spirit City noticed the peculiar smile right away and felt uneasy.
“What’s wrong? Why does your smile seem so strange and unsettling?”
“Nothing at all,” the Lord of Apex City shook his head.
However, the next mont, his expression turned suddenly fierce. His eyes looked as if they belonged to the most ferocious beast in the world.
“Die!”
The Lord of Apex City whispered sharply. His hand reached toward the unguarded back of the Lord of Giant Spirit City.
Thud!
A spray of blood erupted.
At the sa ti, a heart, beating strongly, appeared in his hand. It was still dripping with blood and warm.
“You!” The Lord of Giant Spirit City’s eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at the Lord of Apex City. Though his heart had been forcibly removed, his level ninety-nine vitality kept him alive just long enough to make a last stand.
“You’re not the Lord of Apex City. Who are you really?” The Lord of Giant Spirit City’s eyes were filled with rage.
The Lord of Apex City smiled slightly, and his facial features and overall aura subtly changed in that mont.
In an instant, the Lord of Giant Spirit City’s eyes widened.
“Alex!”
Indeed, the Lord of Apex City had transford into Alex.
Without hesitation, Alex punched the Lord of Giant Spirit City’s head, causing it to explode.
Imdiately, the Lord of Giant Spirit City was dead beyond recovery.
“Ha, so you all decided to team up against !” Alex sneered. “Good. I was considering whether to kill you all, since we have no personal grudges. I didn’t want to take the first step.”
“But now, it’s different.”
“Since you want to kill , I have no qualms about it. In fact, it resolves one of my annoying problems.”
Alex chuckled coldly.
He discarded the heart and shook his body, splattering the blood off.
Then, Alex’s appearance changed once again.
Soon, another Giant Spirit City Lord appeared.
