Chapter 283: They proceeded with the operation
The discussions among the crowd were transparent to Wolfie and Lupine.
Many people were visibly worried, feeling pessimistic about the outco. However, what lifted their spirits slightly was that many still believed in the two brothers’ ability to turn the tide.
Wolfie cleared his throat and said, “Everyone, don’t panic. We already have a plan to deal with this!”
As soon as these words were spoken, everyone paused for a mont. Then, smiles began to appear on their faces.
Sure enough, Wolfie and Lupine had a plan.
Instantly, many people beca excited and voiced their support.
“Really? That’s great!”
“If it weren’t for Morgan’s carelessness in sending out the battleship, the Dawn wouldn’t have a chance against us.”
“Anyway, it’s too late to dwell on that now. We need to focus on solving the crisis. Luckily, General Wolfie and General Lupine have found a way!”
“This is fantastic!”
This ti, the crowd was genuinely uplifted.
Just monts ago, they had feared the Sky Dragon would be taken or sunk by enemy fire. At that point, their fate would either be imprisonnt or a watery grave.
“There’s everything in readiness; we just need the east wind now!”
Wolfie smiled faintly, exuding confidence.
In an instant, many people felt relieved.
They were familiar with Wolfie.
The sight of that smile ant they were fully prepared.
Basically, victory was almost assured.
At this mont, aboard the Fla Battleship.
Mia couldn’t quite understand Alex’s decision.
“Why accept surrender? These people were here to rob us; they don’t deserve sympathy at all!”
Alex shook his head. “I understand that, but I have other considerations.”
Mia paused. “What considerations?”
In her mind, Alex should simply order an attack to sink the Sky Dragon!
“Why bother with anything else?”
It seed Alex understood Mia’s thoughts but reluctantly shook his head.
“You’re being too simplistic!”
“Think about it. Why did we co all this way? Just to sink the Sky Dragon? No, obviously not!”
“Our main objectives are experience points, evolution values, and various resources!”
“Besides, with just our small battleship, can we truly sink the Sky Dragon and how much damage will we sustain?”
“Even if we could severely damage the Sky Dragon, how would we secure resources?”
“Firing directly will only anger the survivors on the Sky Dragon and force them to resist to the end.”
“In the end, it would be a Pyrrhic victory, and we wouldn’t get what we ca for.”
“That’s why I’m giving them ti to consider.”
“Wait and see, by tomorrow, they will surrender on their own!”
…
Alex was confident.
Tomorrow would bring clarity.
But before tomorrow arrived, he needed to make preparations.
To prevent Wolfie and Lupine from becoming desperate.
Those two wouldn’t likely give up easily.
Actions would certainly be taken tonight.
So Alex quickly instructed to tighten defenses and closely monitor the enemy’s every move.
Soon, night fell.
On the vast sea, the Fla watched intently, keeping a close eye on the Sky Dragon.
Those aboard the Fla were unconcerned that anyone could escape under cover of night from the Sky Dragon.
Because, after the super tsunami, the world’s continents sank.
Surviving without an Ark was impossible.
Seeking survival on the open sea?
Might as well be seeking death.
This night was remarkably beautiful.
On the Fla, mbers of the Dawn Guard, though vigilant, appeared relaxed compared to the tense night before!
“Hehe, tomorrow, the survivors on the Sky Dragon will all be our prisoners!”
A mber of the Dawn Guard chuckled.
Yesterday, he thought he was certainly dood and felt tragic.
But now, his mood was completely different.
He eagerly awaited tomorrow’s arrival.
He wanted to see the survivors of the Sky Dragon plead before him.
His companion added, “Yeah! But we could have attacked today; I wonder why Alex gave them ti to think.”
“I think we should have just fired and made them surrender imdiately, or else sunk them.”
The first speaker pondered for a mont and cautiously suggested, “Perhaps Alex has his reasons.”
“Great n have extraordinary visions; maybe there’s a plan we don’t understand.”
“We just need to carry out our mission; no need to overthink it…”
At this, the other reluctantly nodded.
As they spoke, they gazed out across the sea.
Honestly, the night was very beautiful.
Stars adorned the distant sky, their light casting a serene glow.
However, at that very mont!
Swish! Swish!
Suddenly, two whooshing sounds cut through the air.
Soon after, they were drowned out by the sound of the waves.
Unfortunately, these two mbers of the Dawn Guard were killed by two arrows laced with poison.
Their eyes dimd, lifeless.
Then, about a dozen figures leaped onto the deck from the sea.
The night was thick.
Previously, they had stealthily approached from the sea without being detected.
Now, they successfully boarded the Fla battleship!
“Brothers, the first step has been successful!”
“Next, we begin the second step!”
“We need to locate their command center and eliminate their commander!”
“Once their leadership is gone, they’ll be scattered and vulnerable, easy prey for us!”
“Let’s move!”
The leader spoke in a low voice.
“General Wolfie is mighty!”
The morale of the group soared.
Indeed, this operation was led by General Wolfie and his elite force, the Ten Kings, as a special task unit.
Under cover of night, they infiltrated the battleship for a decapitation strike.
If the plan succeeded, their threat would be neutralized.
Now, with the plan proceeding smoothly, everyone was filled with confidence.
They proceeded with the operation.
Disguised as a patrol of the Dawn Guard, they swaggered through the battleship towards the captain’s quarters.
…
Little did they know, after they departed, the two Dawn Guard mbers they had “killed” both opened their eyes simultaneously.
Watching the direction of their departure, they revealed sinister smiles.
“Hehe, Alex was spot on with his prediction, knowing they’d co to attack at night!”
“Too bad they’re ambitious, but their end will be tragic! Honestly, I’m starting to admire Alex more and more!”
They exchanged a glance and chuckled.
Then one of them muttered angrily, “Damn it, soone stepped on my foot several tis, it hurts! But their payback will co soon!”
Shortly after, they imdiately reported their encounter.
Including how many ca, what they did to them, and their direction of movent.
