Chapter 215: Trendous Strength Boost
After testing the effects of Petrification, the three of them returned to their temporary residence in the western district.
All three were very excited.

The situation in the world was changing swiftly.

They didn’t insist and followed Alex’s advice.

Compared to Alex, their leveling-up process was much less dramatic and significantly faster.
Before long, the two won emitted successive waves of energy.
Each wave signaled that they had leveled up.
Soon, after a particularly intense energy wave, they both opened their eyes simultaneously.
“How did it go?” Alex quickly asked.
“Just made it to Level 30,” they said in unison, exchanging glances.
“Great! This significantly boosts our overall strength!”
Alex was very pleased.
Then, curious, he asked, “Did you awaken any new abilities?”
“No,” they said regretfully, shaking their heads.
Under normal circumstances, each person could only have one ability.
They were well aware of this rule.
However, with Alex as an exception in front of them, it was hard not to have so expectations.
Feeling a bit disappointed was natural.
But they quickly dispelled this emotion, maintaining a level-headed attitude.
After the two won successfully reached Level 30, Alex didn’t delay and started upgrading his abilities.
Over the past week, he had killed many Level 3 zombies and obtained a lot of Originium.
To date, he had accumulated forty to fifty evolution points.
Enough to upgrade his other four abilities.
Alex initially planned to give so of the Originium to Mia and Olivia.
After all, they had played a significant role in hunting the Level 3 zombies.
However, no matter what he said, Mia and Olivia steadfastly refused.
To them, the stronger Alex was, the safer they felt.
Giving them the evolution points was less beneficial than Alex enhancing his abilities.
With no other choice, Alex relented and used the evolution points on his own abilities.
Soon, he upgraded Invisibility, Pyrokinesis, Shadow Clone, and Petrification from Level 1 to Level 2.
By this point, most of his evolution points were used up.
“I’ll go test the upgraded abilities!”
Alex was quite excited at this mont.
Last ti, he only upgraded one ability, Teleportation.
This ti, he upgraded four abilities at once!
The results were sothing he eagerly anticipated.
So, the following period was spent by Alex experinting with his newly upgraded Level 2 abilities.
The first power was [Invisibility].
Upon reaching level two, not only did the duration of invisibility extend to one hour, but Alex could also hide the heat his body emitted. Even specialized instrunts couldn’t detect his presence…
The second power was [Pyrokinesis].
The changes to Pyrokinesis were significant. Now, Alex could control even more formidable flas, and their power had greatly increased. The fire gave off a chilling sensation, yet its temperature was even more terrifying. Level two zombies had no resistance and were incinerated instantly. Only level three zombies could hold out for a bit longer, but they too would soon succumb to the flas.
What satisfied Alex the most was that, when combined with a flathrower, his Pyrokinesis could transform into a more fearso fire dragon. Alex vividly rembered that when this fire dragon appeared, even Mia and Olivia, who were standing at a distance, were visibly shocked!
The third power was [Shadow Clone].
Alex had just acquired this power. After upgrading to level two, he discovered that his Shadow Clone now possessed one-third of his own strength. The range in which the clone could operate increased from 100 ters to 250 ters around him. The enhancent to Shadow Clone was substantial. Even if his clone was destroyed, he could create a new one shortly thereafter.
“The improvent to Shadow Clone is really significant. Just this alone has boosted my strength imnsely,” Alex thought to himself.
Another power was [Petrification].
Swish! Swish! Swish!
In a zombie-infested area of the Western District, two figures suddenly appeared. These figures were in completely different locations but looked remarkably similar, as if they were the sa person. The sudden appearance of these figures startled a few solitary zombies nearby.
The zombies lunged at them.
“Roar!”
However, they were instantly turned into stone at the re glance from the two figures. The transformation into stone happened in an instant, too fast to be seen clearly. Notably, one of these zombies was a level two zombie, which also turned to stone almost imdiately.
Looking at his handiwork, a smile appeared on Alex’s face.
“Indeed, the improvent to Petrification is evident. Even level two zombies can be instantly petrified from a distance, increasing its effectiveness by several levels!”
Alex was extrely pleased with these upgrades. It was no exaggeration to say that at this mont, Alex was nearly invincible. The title “Strongest Survivor” granted by the system was completely deserved!
While Alex and his companions were enthusiastically testing their powers, they were unaware that the chat channel had erupted in an uproar. Upon Alex’s advancent to level 50, the system issued an announcent.
“Survivor Alex has reached level 50, becoming the first level 50 survivor!”

“Wasn’t Alex just promoted to level 40? How did he suddenly reach level 50?”
“Terrifying!”
