Chapter 121: Helping Olivia Level Up

Making the most of what you have.

If Olivia could gain an ability, preferably a useful one, it would be a stroke of luck.

For their small group, it would be the cherry on top.

Alex’s Concealnt, Mia’s Healing, neither had much offensive power.

Alex particularly hoped Olivia would gain an offensive ability to compensate for their weaknesses.

However, that was just his wishful thinking for now, nothing certain.

Olivia tucked the Blessing of the Gods into her backpack, her smile radiant.

It seed Alex still cared about her.

“Thank you, Alex.”

Little did Alex know her thoughts; he casually replied, “Thanks for what? Just rember to return it later.”

“Uh…”

Olivia was at a loss for words.

Her intentions were interrupted by Alex’s straightforward remark.

Seeing Olivia’s embarrassnt, Mia, amused by Alex’s bluntness, stepped in.

“Alex, since Olivia hasn’t leveled up yet, why don’t we make good use of our ti, gather supplies, hunt zombies, and help Olivia reach level ten to gain an ability?”

The countdown to the teor shower was drawing nearer, and everyone was frantically stocking up on supplies.

Even the lower-level survivors were taking risks.

That’s just how people are.

They won’t go all out until the last mont.

However, Alex and the others had received early warnings, so while they were hoarding S alloy for resale, they also amassed a variety of miscellaneous supplies.

So, they weren’t in such a hurry.

They also disregarded suburban areas and went straight to the old city.

Moreover, there were plenty of zombies in the old city, which would allow Olivia to level up quickly.

Back then, it had been a tough journey for Alex and the others to level up in the suburban area. They had ventured out countless tis before succeeding.

After considering it, Alex made a decision.

“Wait, let’s head straight to the old city. Haven’t you all been saying I never take you out with ? This ti, we’ll hunt together!”

“Great!”

Mia exclaid happily, “Alex, you finally agreed to take us out!”

“Recently, we’ve been practicing our marksmanship and combat skills diligently. Hmph, you’ve been underestimating us all along, refusing to take us out.”

Alex chuckled, “Doesn’t that show I care about you? I just don’t want you to take unnecessary risks outside!”

Mia winked at Olivia.

“Olivia, did you hear that? Alex cares about us, that’s why he’s reluctant to take us out!”

How could Olivia not understand her best friend’s implication? She blushed and didn’t know what to say.

Alex scratched his head.

Did I say sothing wrong?

Doesn’t seem like it.

Whatever.

Alex got up, pulling Mia and Olivia along.

“Let’s go. We’ll get Olivia to level ten today and see if she can get a good ability!”

Alex hurried out of the yard and fetched the armored vehicle.

On the way, Alex took the opportunity to sort through the infinite supplies they had acquired in recent days.

Soy sauce, vinegar, chili, garlic, cumin…

Goodness, was he starting a restaurant?

Alex shook his head in disbelief, looking at the last item among the infinite supplies.

Rapid Expansion Rifle Magazine!

This is a great find, solving Alex’s long-standing annoyance.

In the future, you can load the bullets in advance and change the magazine directly during the battle.

Saving a lot of ti!

The armored vehicle wasn’t very fast.

However, this ti, Alex wasn’t alone, so the journey wasn’t as dull.

Occasionally encountering a few zombies, they simply crushed them.

As the armored vehicle entered the old city, Alex glanced at the ti.

Sure enough, having soone accompany you on a long drive made it less boring, less like an eternity.

“So this is the old city? It does have a really retro vibe…”

Mia strolled along the streets of the old city.

Like Alex when he first ca to the old city, she was very interested in the architectural style of the eighties and nineties.

At this point, the three of them had gotten off the armored vehicle.

They walked the streets of the old city as if they were shopping.

This ti, Alex was more confident than before.

Not only did he have a rocket launcher, but he also brought out the Gatling gun.

However, Alex looked at Olivia beside him, feeling curious.

Since they arrived in the old city, Olivia had been remarkably calm, as if she had been here before.

“Olivia, have you been to the old city before? Why don’t you seem curious about the buildings and streets here?”

Olivia smiled faintly and tapped the combat suit Alex was wearing.

“I got this suit from the old city before.”

Alex looked surprised.

Olivia had already been to the old city during that ti?

At the sa ti, Alex was still using a pistol.

Seeing Alex’s surprised expression, Olivia felt a little proud.

“I didn’t go deep into the old city, just around the outskirts!”

At first, Olivia had actually landed near the old city?

Alex had always thought Olivia was in the suburban areas.

Olivia laughed, “Our supplies were very scarce at the ti, so staying in the old city would have been suicidal. We had to head to the more remote areas, closer to the nearest suburbs.”

Alex nodded.

Indeed, staying in the old city without any weapons would have been very dangerous.

If they had gone to the central area, they would have had to pass through the old city.

So, Olivia didn’t really have much choice but to go to the suburbs.

Olivia continued, “When I first arrived in the apocalypse, I landed near the old city and was lucky enough to get this combat suit. Later, I t Frank.”

“But I never wore the combat suit in front of him, so he never knew I had such valuable supplies.”

“Otherwise, maybe he would have had ill intentions towards long ago.”

Speaking of Frank, both Alex and Olivia fell silent.

But Alex quickly said, “That’s all in the past. Now that we’re back here, I’ll take you on a good tour.”

Olivia also smiled faintly.

“Of course, now I’m considered one of yours, right? Shouldn’t you treat better and help collect so high-level supplies to level up to ten?”

One of yours?   That sounded a bit strange.

But Alex didn’t argue.

Olivia didn’t just casually say those words; there was a hint of her own selfishness mixed in.

She felt a little embarrassed about her boldness.

At this mont, Mia also walked over, linking arms with Olivia and saying to Alex, “Alex, you said it yourself, Olivia is one of yours now.”

Then, she looked at Olivia.

“Olivia, aren’t we family?”

Under Olivia’s shy gaze, she nodded.

Alex stood beside them, chuckling, “Of course we’re family, the three of us are inseparable.”

Mia felt a bit speechless.

She had already assisted to this extent, yet Alex still hadn’t noticed?

Swish!

At this mont, a black shadow suddenly rushed toward Alex quickly!
