Hodgson was extrely delighted. His arrival in the surface world felt completely different. He could sense that this world was not only broader but also brimming with vitality and vibrancy.
This sensation was profoundly beautiful to Hodgson, who had spent years in the underwater world.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Following his arrival, four other figures, sowhat bedraggled, erged from the passage one after another. Their enormous eyes swept across this snowy world, and they couldn't help but burst into laughter.
"Is this the surface world? Haha! We've finally found it!"
"Do you think the gods have received our ssage by now? Haha! Our achievent must be substantial, and success and prosperity are within reach!"
"The air in this world is so fresh and sweet. We must make this world submit to our giant feet!"
"Kill, kill, kill!"
The five giants exuded a terrifying and overwhelming aura. The four of them were Sky-level giants, with power equivalent to survivors around Level 80. Hodgson, a Red Sun-level giant, possessed power comparable to survivors exceeding Level 90, and was exceptionally terrifying.
Their aura made the survivors present quiver. One of them spoke up, "Who are you? Why did they co out from the relics? No, they are underwater giants!"
Over twenty survivors' faces turned pale, and they imdiately opened fire. Rockets and heavy machine gun fire rained down on the giants. However, the bullets hitting their bodies only sparked, failing to inflict any significant damage.
At that mont, many survivors turned pale. The giants taunted, "Heh, are these the people of the surface world? Such feeble strength. It seems the people of the surface world are all weaklings, after all!"
"Heh, not every person in the surface world is as strong as the mysterious individual!"
"Kill, kill, kill! Eliminate these surface-dwellers. Wipe out any obstacles to prevent them from hatching any more conspiracies!"
The five giants acted together, moving at an incredible speed. In an instant, the survivors scread in agony.
Before the giants, their strength appeared feeble, and they had almost no ability to fight back. They were easily dispatched, and over twenty of them were killed in a series of horrifying screams.
Following this, Hodgson and his companions didn't stop. They had noticed a city in the distance, which looked puny compared to the underwater world's bases. The city walls were so low that they could easily jump over them. There was no way to stop their advance.
"I feel like the people of the surface world are weak."
"But didn't they say the surface world is very dangerous? Even the gods suffered losses. The surface humans are full of sches. Could they have set a trap for us?"
The giants hesitated because the surface humans were far weaker than they expected. Hodgson shook his head.
"Don't be afraid. Let's go and see for ourselves. While they're still unaware, we'll go straight in!"
"Even if there's an ambush, what does it matter? If this is all the strength they have, they won't be able to stop us."
"Let's go!"
With that, the five giants rushed towards Gold City not far away. Their speed was incredible, akin to a gale, and their thunderous movent created a continuous, howling sound.
Even the survivors on the city walls couldn't make out their figures clearly. Hodgson took the lead, leaping into the air.
Boom!
The city walls trembled under his weight.
Cracks quickly appeared on the city wall's surface, and many survivors lost their footing and fell from the walls. The five giants charged into the crowd, and cries of agony filled the air as they killed one survivor after another.
At this ti, Hart was still holding a eting to discuss the future developnt of Gold City. Suddenly, they heard a series of explosion sounds, and the ground trembled slightly. While everyone was still puzzled, a ssenger rushed in, terror in his eyes.
"Lord Mayor, the surface world's giants have arrived! They're right outside our city, and they've already breached our defenses! They're too powerful, we can't stop them!"
Initially, Hart and the other high-ranking officials were displeased to see soone barging in so recklessly. However, upon hearing the ssage, their expressions changed drastically.
"What? Sea giants? Weren't they appearing near Dawn City? How could they be here? No, it can't be! If you're lying to us, you're a dead man!"
The atmosphere grew tense as everyone realized the seriousness of the situation.
They quickly gathered more information and learned that these sea giants ca from a supposed "relic" which was, in reality, the underwater world.
It was not the relic they believed it to be. This revelation left Hart and the high-ranking officials looking as if they had just swallowed a bug.
Fortunately, they soon learned that there were only five of these sea giants, and this information seed to slightly lift Hart's spirits.
"Five of them? You're scared because of just five sea giants? Such a ager number doesn't pose a real threat! Co, follow , and we'll take care of them all! I fear sea giants, but I certainly don't fear these five sea giants!"
Hart was furious.
However, before Hart could finish his words...
A loud rumble shook the city lord's mansion, and cries of agony ca from outside. Five massive, rough, and dominant figures arrived like ancient beasts, charging through the city with unstoppable force. Bullets and rockets fell on them, as if striking the hardest of armored steel.
Before long, Hodgson and the four giants had killed the city lord and other high-ranking officials of Gold City. Many of the city's survivors had fled in chaos, their faces filled with terror.
"How can this be? There were so many of us, and we couldn't even put up a fight? Are sea giants truly this terrifying?"
"It's too scary! Thank goodness I could run fast, or I'd be dead!"
"Damn it! If I'd known, I would've gone to Dawn City earlier instead of staying here!"
Their faces pale, they fled aimlessly across the snowy plains. For many, their destination was Dawn City. In this world, there was nowhere safe except Dawn City.
Inside Gold City, Hodgson and his group gathered various information and intelligence from the surface world. They obtained a wealth of data in a short ti.
The next day, they returned to the world gate. Shortly after, sea giants erged from it. A massive army of 200,000 sea giants quickly assembled outside Gold City.
A towering figure walked out from the army, looking towards Hodgson, who had been waiting. He said, "You must be Hodgson, right? The gods are very pleased with your performance. You've earned great rit, and the gods have spoken. Before their arrival, you will be the supre commander of our legion."
Hodgson was taken aback, his face showing signs of disbelief. He asked, ", as the supre commander of the army? Can't the gods co themselves?"
