On this day, heavy snow was falling.
The team went out for their usual patrol.
It wasn't until noon that the exhausted team finally returned.
They started a big fire and began eating steaming hot canned food.
The team leader looked at the weary group and said with a smile, 'Although life is tough and the tasks are challenging, everything we're doing is aningful. We've put in a lot of effort to help Dawn City grow. Rest assured, the city lord will definitely treat us well in the future.'
Everyone nodded, not doubting the words of their team leader.
When they were sent out on these challenging tasks, Waldo had assured them that three months later, when they returned, they would receive significant rewards!
With Waldo's reputation, they had absolute trust.
Now, although the conditions were sowhat challenging, they could definitely persevere.
Soon, they began to eat, cracking jokes and laughing, creating a cheerful atmosphere.
However, at this mont, a massive dark cloud suddenly appeared in the sky outside.
Within the dark cloud, lightning and thunder crackled!
In that mont, they felt a disturbance in the natural order.
The surrounding atmosphere beca tumultuous, with a scorching sll in the air.
"What's going on? What happened?"
"It's clearly snowing! Why is there such a dark cloud, like ink, unnaturally black, and lightning too?"
"Is this a phenonon of nature? I don't know why, but I feel uneasy. The air is filled with seemingly violent forces, making anxious and fearful."
The group was montarily stunned and slightly alard.
Without even finishing their al, they quickly went outside to observe the situation.
They found that the massive dark cloud was to the east of the Dawn Ark.
That direction was actually the ocean, but now it was frozen.
"Although the Ice Age brought a significant reduction in seawater, the sea level was still considerably higher than it was at the very beginning.
Boom!
In the dark clouds, lightning flashed and thunder roared.
Although the distance was quite far, the twelve survivors present had slightly changed expressions.
They all heard that trendous sound.
Moreover, the lightning flashing within the dark clouds was extrely frightening.
Those lightning bolts were exceptionally thick.
Compared to the lightning controlled by Lees, they were like toothpicks.
The lightning here was like pillars.
It gave the impression that even the Dawn Ark would be split into two.
It was terrifying and horrifying.
"Such thick lightning?"
"My goodness, what's happening there? Is this a natural phenonon? It's very unusual."
"It seems like the air around us has been affected, becoming chaotic."
The people were excited and sowhat uneasy, discussing what they had witnessed.
Then, to their surprise, not long after, the dark clouds in the sky began to gradually dissipate.
Then, they disappeared completely.
There were no more lightning and thunder in the sky, and the dark clouds were gone, reverting to their initial state.
It was as if everything that had happened before didn't exist. This natural phenonon ca and went quickly.
The people were stunned.
It disappeared so fast? Why is that? The dark clouds vanished suddenly, without rain or snow, as if they appeared out of nowhere and disappeared into thin air. The natural phenonon ca and went so quickly!
It's unbelievable. I was planning to take a closer look, and who would have thought it would disappear so soon.
"Let's go, let's head back. It's gone, which is good. Otherwise, we would constantly worry about this unusual phenonon."
The people pondered for a mont and then returned to the Dawn Ark.
At this point, soone hesitated and asked, "Should we report this unusual phenonon to the higher-ups?"
The team leader shook his head.
"There's no need for that. After all, this phenonon only occurred once, and it lasted such a short ti, it's not worth it. If the big shots co here later and find nothing, we'll be the ones in trouble."
"We'll take another look and decide later."
Hearing this, everyone nodded. They didn't know if this phenonon would happen again. If it was just a coincidence and happened once, there was no need to report it. Maybe they'd face criticism if they did.
The next day arrived as scheduled. It wasn't snowing, and the weather was clear. Just like any other day, they needed to leave early in the morning.
Today, their patrol tasks were much more extensive than yesterday, and everyone needed to participate. Therefore, it was highly likely they wouldn't return until noon.
However, the team leader rembered the natural phenonon that occurred yesterday and hesitated.
He then pointed to a younger team mber and said, 'You stay behind and observe the outside conditions. If yesterday's natural phenonon occurs again, you must record the ti, location, and when it ends, understood?'
The person nodded. The team leader reminded and instructed again before finally leading the team out for patrol.
It wasn't until close to noon that he finally returned to the Dawn Ark. At this point, he was famished. However, he didn't have ti to eat as he hurriedly asked the team mber left in the Noah's Ark.
"What's the situation? Did the phenonon occur today?"
The person shook their head, saying, "I didn't see anything. I was afraid I might miss the phenonon, so I stood by the door all day and didn't even dare to doze off. However, the scene from yesterday didn't happen at all."
Upon hearing this, the team leader furrowed his brows.
It didn't happen? Could it be that yesterday's phenonon was truly a coincidence?
The team leader sighed sowhat helplessly.
But deep down, he had a feeling that this matter might not be over.
The team mbers felt warm after having their al. They had been on duty the whole day, already exhausted and enduring the cold.
After returning, aside from the mbers on duty, everyone else quickly fell asleep.
The third day finally arrived, another sunny day. For so reason, recently there had been more clear days and fewer snowy days.
However, even so, the temperature hadn't risen at all; it was still cold.
Just like the first day, after completing their tasks, the team mbers returned around noon.
They had a regular al. Since there were no unusual occurrences the previous day, they generally believed that the appearance of the phenonon was just a coincidence and wouldn't happen again.
That previous phenonon was strange, appearing hurriedly and disappearing just as quickly, for no apparent reason.
"Didn't we say the phenonon was just a coincidence and shouldn't be a big problem? No need to worry too much."
People were having their al and discussing.
However, at that mont, a thunderous roar shook the earth!
Simultaneously, a ghastly white lightning bolt tore through the sky.
The once bright world seed as if it was now filled with a grueso white hue, making the heavens and the earth lose their colors.
Clatter!
Utensils and canned food fell all around.
At this mont, almost all the team mbers were startled by the deafening roar and the terrifyingly white lightning that appeared out of nowhere, nearly jumping in surprise.
"What, what, what's going on? How could such a massive lightning strike suddenly appear? It scared to death!
"Could it be that the phenonon from two days ago is happening again? It shouldn't be, right?"
"It only appeared by chance, didn't it? There was no sign of it yesterday!"
"My goodness, that lightning bolt just now seed like it was about to hit . My soul was almost scared out of my body. Right now, my limbs are trembling uncontrollably. I'm really terrified."
The group stood dumbfounded for a mont. Then, one by one, they started to speak. Fear had not yet left their faces.
That last lightning strike indeed startled them.
However, at the sa ti, while they were in shock and conversation...
The sky outside suddenly darkened slightly. A massive black cloud appeared once again over the distant sea, covering the sky and blocking out a lot of sunlight. Within the dark cloud, lightning streaked and thunder rumbled.
The group's expressions changed slightly. They went outside and gazed at the terrifying phenonon in the eastern sea from afar.
Sure enough, it was the sa phenonon as the day before. Unbelievably, it had reappeared!
"I think this phenonon might be occurring every other day, and it always seems to happen around noon."
"Did you notice that this ti the phenonon appears to be on a larger scale than last ti?"
"Indeed, I felt it too, the aura is even more frightening, and the air is more chaotic."
"Is sothing happening deep in the sea? Should we go take a look?"
"What can we see there? Don't go, don't risk your life. It's not worth it. Instead, let's inform the higher-ups in the city about this information and let them decide. We're just a bunch of small fries."
This ti, the phenonon lasted for nearly twenty minutes, more than twice as long as the first occurrence.
Soon, the team leader reported this matter to his superiors. Such occurrences were undoubtedly significant events, especially in these tis when anomalies often heralded crucial developnts.
It could an the appearance of sothing extraordinarily important or indicate a major event was unfolding.
Understanding the importance of the situation, the team leader's superior wasted no ti in passing the information up the chain of command. The news eventually reached Calvert, one of the top officials in Dawn City.
Upon hearing the news, Calvert furrowed his brow. "A significant anomaly in the eastern sea, appearing every other day, with increasing intensity? Quite intriguing."
After so consideration, he decided, "This matter is not to be taken lightly. It wouldn't be suitable to delegate it to others. It seems I need to personally investigate."
Calvert didn't feel the need to report this to Waldo. After all, he was one of the key figures in Dawn City and responsible for handling various matters on behalf of Waldo. Not everything had to trouble Waldo.
He then assembled a team and boarded a helicopter to head to the location of the anomaly. Before departing, he briefly inford Waldo that an anomaly had occurred in the eastern sea, and he was sending a team to investigate the situation.
