Although the Snow Beast Lord had been killed, it had caused significant casualties. Nearly ten were critically injured, not to ntion the minor injuries. These individuals needed to be replaced and tended to for their injuries. The injured were moaning on stretchers.
As they were about to be carried away, Alanna quickly stepped forward and halted them. "Wait! Bring the wounded to ; I will heal them!" Alanna said.
This was the perfect ti for her to use her [Healing] ability.
"What? This..." The soldiers carrying the stretchers were montarily stunned. They naturally recognized Alanna and Helen.
If it were ordinary people, they wouldn't easily allow a delay in providing aid to their injured comrades. After all, ti was of the essence for the injured—it could an life or death.
The soldiers looked to Calvert and Silva, seeking their help. Calvert hurriedly ran over again. He knew what Alanna's ability was and understood her intentions. However, were there limitations to the number of tis this ability could be used? Could it really heal so many injured individuals?
Though he had doubts, he still nodded and allowed Alanna to attempt it.
Soon, the injured, both severe and minor cases, were in front of her—around thirty individuals. The numbers were just right.
Alanna then ditated for a mont, closed her eyes, and a faint light emanated from her body. It seed as if strands of light were forming at this mont, with mysterious flowers blooming on them. Finally, they drifted down, falling gently like autumn leaves, landing on the injured.
"Is it going to work? I know Miss Alanna's ability can heal the wounded, but the number of tis is limited, and the number of people she can heal is also limited. Can she really heal so many people at once?" It was quite uncertain. However, looking at their confidence, it seed very likely. After all, they all seed quite confident.
"Given what you've said, it does seem possible and sowhat plausible."
"It's very strange, this is the first ti I've seen Miss Alanna use her ability."
The onlookers exchanged glances and then conversed.
During their conversation, the injuries of the wounded were visibly recovering at a remarkable pace.
Previously, soone's abdon was pierced, and now it's rapidly healing. Ultimately, not a single scar was left.
Earlier, soone had all their bones broken throughout their body. However, after the transparent and mysterious flowers landed on him, his bones rapidly regenerated and realigned. In no ti, he stood up energetically.
Before long, even those severely injured before, no matter how critical their injuries were, were essentially resurrected, standing lively in front of everyone.
Regarding healing the minor injuries, needless to say, it was a breeze.
Witnessing this scene, everyone was astonished. Including Calvert, Silva, and others—they all widened their eyes, mouths agape, looking at Alanna in disbelief.
"Such a powerful ability?" They found it incredible.
You have to understand, these were all severely injured individuals. Yet, in such a short amount of ti, they were fully healed and resurrected. Isn't this terrifying?
If they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, they really wouldn't believe it.
Alanna said, "Hurry and go into battle! The Snow Beasts are increasing!"
"Waldo is currently in seclusion. Regardless, you must hold on until Waldo's seclusion is over, understood?"
"Oh, and make sure to bring all the severely injured to for treatnt!"
Naturally, no one dared to oppose her words. They were beyond thrilled. With Alanna around, severely injured individuals didn't need to worry about death. As long as there was a breath, they could be quickly resurrected to full health.
Hence, in the ensuing battle, many soldiers fought valiantly without fear of death, bolstered by Alanna's presence.
Compared to the first beast tide, the scale of this one was evidently larger! You could tell from the number of Snow Beasts participating in the siege.
Previously, there were just over a thousand Snow Beasts attacking the city. However, this ti, an astonishing three thousand Snow Beasts were attacking the city directly.
As ti passed, more and more Snow Beasts broke through the first line of defense.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
The laser cannons fired at this critical mont.
The powerful laser beams easily tore through the bodies of the Snow Beasts, including the Snow Beast Lord. In an instant, hundreds and thousands of Snow Beasts perished. However, in the end, so Snow Beasts managed to survive.
The Snow Beasts that survived began their assault on the city, causing increasing casualties among the soldiers on the last line of defense. Gradually, the pressure on them mounted, to the point where Alanna received more and more critically injured individuals, and she could hardly hold on.
Alanna couldn't help but remind, "Helen, please act quickly. I can't hold on much longer."
Upon hearing this, Helen nodded. "Alright!"
Previously, the reason she hadn't taken action was mainly to find a suitable location. Now, she had found one—the closest and most dangerous place to the Snow Beasts.
Originally, Calvert and Silva had adamantly forbidden her from approaching this extrely perilous area. However, they couldn't stop Helen's determination. In the end, they allowed Helen to proceed.
"Be careful. The second wave of Snow Beasts is attacking again! Watch out for your own safety!" Silva reminded.
Calvert was worried about Helen, so he followed her to the very front line. The deafening sounds of heavy machine guns and artillery shells reverberated in the air. They were in a perilous position, the closest to the Snow Beasts.
However, Helen showed no fear at all.
Calvert couldn't help but speculate in his mind. Was she planning to control a Snow Beast Lord? But what good would controlling just one Snow Beast Lord do?
Calvert understood Helen's ability and knew that Helen seed to be able to control an exotic beast as well. He didn't yet know that Helen had already elevated her ability to level four, and it had undergone significant changes, becoming much stronger.
Just as Calvert was filled with doubts and worries, the second wave of Snow Beasts finally ca rushing in. Thousands of Snow Beasts roared, their voices deafening. The overwhelming malevolent aura filled the air, significantly affecting the reaction capabilities of the ordinary soldiers.
Even Helen, for a mont, had a bewildered expression due to the impact of the malevolent aura.
Fortunately, she quickly stabilized her mind and focused on the distant Snow Beasts. In her eyes, a faint blue light shimred.
What was she doing?
Calvert raised an eyebrow, puzzled. He didn't quite understand the purpose of Helen's actions. However, in the next mont, he was astonished, his mouth slightly agape, as he watched the scene unfold.
Suddenly, among the many rushing Snow Beasts, hundreds of them ca to a sudden stop. Seemingly attracted by sothing, they looked towards Helen.
Following that, these Snow Beasts, including the Snow Beast Lords among them, had a faint blue glow in their eyes.
This!
How is this possible?!
Calvert widened his eyes, exclaiming, "How can she suddenly control so many Snow Beasts? This is hardly possible!"
Before he could recover from his astonishnt, an even more unbelievable thing happened. This group of Snow Beasts with the faint blue glow in their eyes not only suddenly stopped but also turned around, roaring and pouncing on their own comrades.
In an instant, the Snow Beast pack fell into chaos.
Over a thousand Snow Beasts were entangled in a fierce battle!
Many Snow Beasts were trampled and torn apart in the chaos, and the situation briefly spiraled out of control.
The scene was spectacular!
"Damn!"
Calvert, watching from a distance, was dumbfounded.
Hundreds of Snow Beasts began to fight among themselves.
This sight was beyond their imagination—they had never seen or even thought of such a thing.
A large number of Snow Beasts turned against each other, causing the originally surging Snow Beast tide to beco exceptionally chaotic.
The footsteps of the Snow Beast tide ca to a halt.
Roar!
Seeing many Snow Beasts fighting each other, the Snow Beast King in the distance seed to have noticed and roared loudly.
Its voice seed to have strong penetrative power and a powerful psychological effect.
In an instant, the Snow Beasts controlled by Helen began to awaken, and Helen herself had a montary daze, her face slightly pale.
Obviously, controlling so many Snow Beasts at once was an imnse drain on her.
These Snow Beasts were already powerful to begin with.
For her to be able to control Snow Beasts was already impressive.
Not to ntion controlling so many of them at once.
It was extraordinary.
Although she only controlled them for a very short mont, it was enough for the city of Dawn. Because, during the ti she was in control, the various artillery in the distance had already completed reloading for the second round.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Once again, a barrage of artillery fire rained down.
Imdiately, countless Snow Beasts wailed, being killed or injured in the bombardnt, creating a spectacular scene.
This wave of the Snow Beasts' attack didn't even need to be fought further. Dawn City had already achieved a resounding victory. Thousands of Snow Beasts suffered heavy losses under two consecutive waves of artillery attacks, and they had no choice but to retreat.
On the city walls, Helen breathed a sigh of relief. They had successfully repelled another wave of Snow Beasts' attack. However, in the next mont, Helen felt a severe dizziness in her head.
The consumption from using her ability just now was too much. Now, the side effects were hitting her hard. Her face turned pale, her body swayed, and it seed like she might lose her balance.
"Helen, are you okay?"
Calvert's expression changed imdiately. If sothing happened to Helen, Waldo would be furious. Without a second thought, he decided to escort Helen to the rear for so rest.
"You should rest. We'll take care of the front," Calvert assured. "Helen and Alanna, both of you have made significant contributions. On behalf of my comrades, thank you."
He ant every word. Their arrival did indeed provide substantial assistance, which was greatly appreciated.
However, Helen and Alanna didn't think it was a big deal. After all, Dawn City belonged to Waldo. Helping defend the city was equivalent to helping Waldo.
Nonetheless, they didn't argue the point.
Soon, Calvert left, heading back to the city wall to command the soldiers and prepare for the next battle against the Snow Beasts.
