Waldo walked to the entrance of the supermarket and looked outside through the crack, where he spotted a woman standing there. She was incredibly beautiful!

He wasn't adept at using phrases like "breathtakingly beautiful" or "charmingly attractive" to describe soone, but giving this woman a perfect score was enough to prove everything. Waldo had seen many won, but this woman made him take notice.

Just her looks alone would easily rank her as the most attractive woman he had ever seen.

"Who are you?" Waldo asked loudly from inside instead of imdiately opening the door. Alanna, with an anxious and pleading expression on her face, responded, "Hey, mister, I've been wandering outside for a day without any supplies. Please let in first! I promise I'll repay you later!"

Waldo furrowed his brow and, after a mont of consideration, took out a wooden board from his backpack and opened the supermarket door. "Thank you, kind sir," Alanna said gratefully as she entered.

She had been chased by zombies and had almost died several tis since arriving in this apocalyptic world. Now, seeing soone from her own kind, she felt a sense of security.

However, at that mont, Waldo suddenly made his move. Before Alanna could react, he swiftly struck the back of her neck with a strong hand chop, causing her to faint and fall to the ground. Waldo imdiately closed the supermarket door and used a rope to tie her up before carrying her to the second floor.

In this post-apocalyptic world, one couldn't be too cautious when dealing with strangers. Trusting the wrong person could cost you your life. Alanna slowly regained consciousness, feeling a sharp pain in the back of her neck. She wanted to rub it, but she realized she was securely bound by the rope.

"Are you awake?" Waldo approached the woman with a bread in his hand. She looked sowhat frightened and struggled vigorously. "What do you want? Do you know this is illegal?" Waldo chuckled in response. Coming to a world where anything could happen at any mont, what did laws and legality matter? It was ridiculous.

Waldo squatted down, placing his hand directly on Alanna's shoulder, and said with a smile, "There's no other way. I can't determine if you're a good person or not, so I have to bind you first and then see if your conscience is clear."

The sudden and unexpected action frightened Alanna, and her eyes twitched slightly. Annoyed, she said, "You bastard! If you have the guts, release and I'll let you examine your own conscience!"

Waldo concealed his expression, stood up, and calmly said, "You, a prisoner, dare to negotiate terms with ? Are you overestimating your own charm? To put it bluntly, I could bind you and engage in so forceful play, and what could you do about it?"

The woman bit her lip and remained silent. She knew that what Waldo said was true.

Waldo sat on the sofa, lit a cigarette, and continued, "Tell your na and your background, and perhaps I'll spare your life." After waiting for several minutes in silence, Waldo finally heard Alanna break her silence.

"My na is Alanna. I'm a doctor who was chased by zombies, and I ended up here by chance."

"A doctor?"

Waldo was very interested in Alanna's profession. In this kind of apocalyptic world, having a doctor was a guarantee of survival. Moreover, with the mutual consent of both parties, they could sign a master-servant contract, alleviating concerns about loyalty.

Waldo chuckled and said, "Follow , and I'll provide you with als. From now on, you'll be under my care. Additionally, to ensure peace of mind, we'll need to sign a master-servant contract."

Alanna clearly understood the advantages her profession brought and shook her head in refusal. Waldo shrugged, not in a hurry. There was no conflict or hatred between them, so he wouldn't go crazy and deliberately harm her. But he couldn't let her go for now; caution was paramount.

Then, he took out a sausage from his backpack and indulged in it in front of Alanna. As he watched Alanna's throat move surreptitiously, Waldo spoke while eating, "I forgot to ntion earlier, your conscience seems to be in good condition."

Alanna blushed, gritted her teeth, and couldn't help but wish to bite this detestable young man to death. When had she ever been treated like this by a man before? Cursing him under her breath, she wished him misfortune and a lifeti covered in red hair.

Waldo was determined to recruit Alanna as a doctor into his group, but he didn't want to use forceful thods. Instead, he wanted to coax and persuade her gradually. After finishing the sausage, Waldo wiped his mouth with a tissue from his backpack and let out a satisfied belch.

"Are you hungry?" Alanna stared straight at Waldo and said angrily, "You didn't have to play with like this."

Waldo took out a bottle of water from his backpack, opened the cap, and held it to Alanna's mouth to drink. He sincerely said, "Dr. Alanna, I genuinely want to invite you to join us. You won't be lacking in food three tis a day, I guarantee that. And with around, I will ensure your safety."

Thirsty for a long ti, Alanna couldn't care less about responding and eagerly gulped down the water. The refreshing coolness instantly revitalized her spirits. After drinking the water, she chuckled and said, "Little brother, is this your sincerity towards ?"

Waldo wore a confused expression on his face and smiled as he asked, "What? I gave you water to drink. Isn't that the greatest show of sincerity?"

Alanna's voice trembled. "So, you gave lemon water to make hungrier, right?"

Waldo earnestly said, "Dr. Alanna, lemon water is my favorite beverage, and we don't have much left in stock. I brought it out for you to drink. Your words are truly disheartening."

"But if you feel hungry, all you need to do is nod and agree to my conditions, and I'll imdiately provide you with a satisfying al!"

Alanna looked at Waldo's smiling face, her body trembling with anger. She knew that the man in front of her was playing with her, forcing her to submit.

"Give up that idea! Even if I starve to death and jump down here to be eaten by zombies, I won't touch a single thing from you!"

Waldo didn't mind but continued to test Alanna's psychological defenses. "How about I offer you my sen to eat? At least it's rich in protein."

Alanna let out an angry roar. "Get lost!"
